1 I rejoice that the LORD hath heard the voice of my supplication,
1 Amo o S enhor , porque ele ouve a minha voz e as minhas orações.
2 That he hath inclined his ear to me and heard me; I will call upon him as long as I live.
2 Porque ele se inclina para ouvir, orarei enquanto viver.
3 The snares of death encompassed me, And the pains of the underworld seized upon me; I found distress and sorrow.
3 A morte me envolveu com suas cordas, e os terrores da sepultura não via outra coisa senão sofrimento e tristeza.
4 Then called I upon the LORD: O LORD! deliver me!
4 Então clamei pelo nome do S enhor : “Livra-me, S
5 Gracious is the LORD, and righteous; Yea, our God is merciful.
5 O S enhor é compassivo e justo; o nosso Deus é misericordioso!
6 The LORD preserveth the simple; I was brought low, and he helped me.
6 O S enhor protege os ingênuos; eu estava diante da morte, e ele me salvou.
7 Return, O my soul! to thy rest! For the LORD hath dealt kindly with thee.
7 Volte, minha alma, a descansar, pois o S
8 For thou hast preserved me from death; Thou hast kept mine eyes from tears, And my feet from falling!
8 Ele livrou minha alma da morte, meus olhos, das lágrimas, meus pés, da queda.
9 I shall walk before the LORD, In the land of the living.
9 Por isso, andarei na presença do S enhor enquanto viver aqui na terra.
10 I had trust, although I said, “I am grievously afflicted!”
10 Eu cri, por isso disse: “Estou profundamente aflito!”.
11 I said in my distress, “All men are liars.”
11 Em meu desespero, declarei: “Todos são mentirosos!”.
12 What shall I render to the LORD For all his benefits to me?
12 Que posso oferecer ao S enhor por tudo que ele me tem feito?
13 I will take the cup of salvation, And call upon the name of the LORD;
13 Celebrarei meu livramento e louvarei o nome do S
14 I will pay my vows to the LORD, In the presence of all his people.
14 Cumprirei meus votos ao S enhor na presença de todo o seu povo.
15 Precious in the eyes of the LORD Is the death of his holy ones.
15 O S enhor se importa profundamente com a morte de seus fiéis.
16 Hear, O LORD! for I am thy servant; I am thy servant, the son of thy handmaid! Thou hast loosed my bonds.
16 Ó S enhor , sou teu servo, sim, teu servo, teu humilde servo; tu me livraste de minhas correntes.
17 I will offer to thee the sacrifice of thanksgiving, And will call upon the name of the LORD.
17 Oferecerei a ti um sacrifício de ação de graças e louvarei o nome do S
18 I will pay my vows to the LORD In the presence of all his people,
18 Cumprirei meus votos ao S enhor na presença de todo o seu povo,
19 In the courts of the house of the LORD, In the midst of thee, O Jerusalem! Praise ye the LORD!
