¹ “A psalm of David.” O God! my heart is strengthened! I will sing and give thanks.

¹ Cântico. Salmo de Davi. Meu coração está firme, ó Deus, meu coração está firme; vou cantar e salmodiar. Desperta-te, ó minha alma;

² Awake, my soul! awake, my psaltery and harp! I will wake with the early dawn.

² despertai-vos, harpa e cítara; quero acordar a aurora.

³ I will praise thee, O LORD! among the nations; I will sing to thee among the peoples!

³ Entre os povos, Senhor, vos louvarei; salmodiarei a vós entre as nações,

⁴ For thy mercy reacheth to the heavens, And thy truth above the clouds.

⁴ porque acima dos céus se eleva a vossa misericórdia, e até as nuvens a vossa fidelidade.

⁵ Exalt thyself, O God! above the heavens, And thy glory above all the earth!

⁵ Resplandecei, ó Deus, nas alturas dos céus, e brilhe a vossa glória sobre a terra inteira.

⁶ That thy beloved ones may be delivered, Save with thy right hand, and answer me!

⁶ Para ficarem livres vossos amigos, ajudai-nos com vossa mão, ouvi-nos.

⁷ God promiseth in his holiness; I will rejoice; I shall yet divide Shechem, And measure out the valley of Succoth;

⁷ Deus falou no seu santuário: Triunfarei, e me apoderarei de Siquém, medirei com o cordel o vale de Sucot.

⁸ Gilead shall be mine, and mine Manasseh; Ephraim shall be my helmet, And Judah my sceptre.

⁸ Minha é a terra de Galaad, minha a de Manassés; Efraim será o elmo de minha cabeça; Judá, o meu cetro;

⁹ Moab shall be my washbowl; Upon Edom shall I cast my shoe; I shall triumph over Philistia.

⁹ Moab, a bacia em que me lavo. Sobre Edom porei minhas sandálias, cantarei vitória sobre a Filistéia.

¹⁰ Who will bring me to the strong city? Who will lead me into Edom?

¹⁰ Quem me conduzirá à cidade fortificada? Quem me levará até Edom?

¹¹ Wilt not thou, O God! who didst forsake us, Who didst not go forth with our armies?

¹¹ Quem, senão vós, Senhor, que nos repelistes, e já não andais à frente dos nossos exércitos?

¹² Give us thine aid in our distress, For vain is the help of man!

¹² Dai-nos auxílio contra o inimigo, porque é vão qualquer socorro humano.

¹³ Through God we shall do valiantly; For he will tread down our enemies.

¹³ Com Deus faremos proezas, ele esmagará os nossos inimigos.
