1 Be|strong="H6440" merciful unto|strong="H6440" me|strong="H6440", O|strong="H3068" God, be|strong="H6440" merciful unto|strong="H6440" me|strong="H6440"; for|strong="H6440" my|strong="H1732" soul taketh refuge in|strong="H6440" thee|strong="H6440": yea, in|strong="H6440" the|strong="H6440" shadow of|strong="H6440" thy|strong="H1732" wings will|strong="H6440" I|strong="H6440" take refuge, until these calamities be|strong="H6440" overpast.
1 Ao mestre de canto. Não destruas. Cântico de Davi, quando fugiu para a caverna, perseguido por Saul. Tende piedade de mim, ó Deus, tende piedade de mim, porque a minha alma em vós procura o seu refúgio. Abrigo-me à sombra de vossas asas, até que a tormenta passe.

7 Meu coração está firme, ó Deus, meu coração está firme; vou cantar e salmodiar.

8 Desperta-te, ó minha alma; despertai, harpa e cítara! Quero acordar a aurora.

9 Entre os povos, Senhor, vos louvarei; salmodiarei a vós entre as nações,
10 For|strong="H5971" thy|strong="H3034" mercy is|strong="H5971" great unto|strong="H5971" the|strong="H3034" heavens, and|strong="H5971" thy|strong="H3034" truth unto|strong="H5971" the|strong="H3034" skies.
10 porque aos céus se eleva a vossa misericórdia, e até as nuvens a vossa fidelidade.
