3 Reduzis o homem à poeira, e dizeis: Filhos dos homens, retornai ao pó,

5 Vós os arrebatais: eles são como um sonho da manhã, como a erva virente,

7 Sim, somos consumidos pela vossa severidade, e acabrunhados pela vossa cólera.

8 Colocastes diante de vós as nossas culpas, e nossos pecados ocultos à vista de vossos olhos.

9 Ante a vossa ira, passaram todos os nossos dias. Nossos anos se dissiparam como um sopro.

10 Setenta anos é o total de nossa vida, os mais fortes chegam aos oitenta. A maior parte deles, sofrimento e vaidade, porque o tempo passa depressa e desaparecemos.
11 Who knoweth|strong="H3045" the power|strong="H5797" of thine anger|strong="H0639"? even according to thy fear|strong="H3374", so is thy wrath|strong="H5678".
11 Quem avalia a força de vossa cólera, e mede a vossa ira com o temor que vos é devido?
12 So teach|strong="H3045" us to number|strong="H4487" our days|strong="H3117", that we may apply|strong="H0935" our hearts|strong="H3824" unto wisdom|strong="H2451".
12 Ensinai-nos a bem contar os nossos dias, para alcançarmos o saber do coração.
13 Return|strong="H7725", O \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w*, how long? and let it repent|strong="H5162" thee concerning thy servants|strong="H5650".
13 Voltai-vos, Senhor - quanto tempo tardareis? E sede propício a vossos servos.
14 O satisfy|strong="H7646" us early|strong="H1242" with thy mercy|strong="H2617"; that we may rejoice|strong="H7442" and be glad|strong="H8055" all our days|strong="H3117".
14 Cumulai-vos desde a manhã com as vossas misericórdias, para exultarmos alegres em toda a nossa vida.
15 Make us glad|strong="H8055" according to the days|strong="H3117" wherein thou hast afflicted|strong="H6031" us, and the years|strong="H8141" wherein we have seen|strong="H7200" evil|strong="H7451".
15 Consolai-nos tantos dias quantos nos afligistes, tantos anos quantos nós sofremos.
16 Let thy work|strong="H6467" appear|strong="H7200" unto thy servants|strong="H5650", and thy glory|strong="H1926" unto their children|strong="H1121".
16 Manifestai vossa obra aos vossos servidores, e a vossa glória aos seus filhos.
17 And let the beauty|strong="H5278" of the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* our God|strong="H0430" be upon us: and establish|strong="H3559" thou the work|strong="H4639" of our hands|strong="H3027" upon us; yea, the work|strong="H4639" of our hands|strong="H3027" establish|strong="H3559" thou it.
17 Que o beneplácito do Senhor, nosso Deus, repouse sobre nós. Favorecei as obras de nossas mãos. Sim, fazei prosperar o trabalho de nossas mãos.
