2 She obeyed|strong="H8085" not the voice|strong="H6963"; she received|strong="H3947" not correction|strong="H4148"; she trusted|strong="H0982" not in the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w*; she drew not near|strong="H7126" to her God|strong="H0430".
3 Her princes|strong="H8269" within|strong="H7130" her are roaring|strong="H7580" lions|strong="H0738"; her judges|strong="H8199" are evening|strong="H6153" wolves|strong="H2061"; they gnaw not the bones|strong="H1633" till the morrow|strong="H1242".
4 Her prophets|strong="H5030" are light|strong="H6348" and treacherous|strong="H0900" persons|strong="H0582": her priests|strong="H3548" have polluted|strong="H2490" the sanctuary|strong="H6944", they have done violence|strong="H2554" to the law|strong="H8451".
5 The just|strong="H6662" \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* is in the midst|strong="H7130" thereof; he will not do|strong="H6213" iniquity|strong="H5766": every|strong="H1242" morning|strong="H1242" doth he bring|strong="H5414" his judgment|strong="H4941" to light|strong="H0216", he faileth|strong="H5737" not; but the unjust|strong="H5767" knoweth|strong="H3045" no shame|strong="H1322".
6 I have cut off|strong="H3772" the nations|strong="H1471": their towers|strong="H6438" are desolate|strong="H8074"; I made their streets|strong="H2351" waste|strong="H2717", that none passeth by|strong="H5674": their cities|strong="H5892" are destroyed|strong="H6658", so that there is no man|strong="H0376", that there is none inhabitant|strong="H3427".
7 I said|strong="H0559", Surely thou wilt fear|strong="H3372" me, thou wilt receive|strong="H3947" instruction|strong="H4148"; so their dwelling|strong="H4583" should not be cut off|strong="H3772", howsoever|strong="H0834" I punished|strong="H6485" them: but|strong="H0403" they rose early|strong="H7925", and corrupted|strong="H7843" all their doings|strong="H5949".
8 Therefore wait|strong="H2442" ye upon me, saith|strong="H5002" the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w*, until the day|strong="H3117" that I rise up|strong="H6965" to the prey|strong="H5706": for my determination|strong="H4941" is to gather|strong="H0622" the nations|strong="H1471", that I may assemble|strong="H6908" the kingdoms|strong="H4467", to pour|strong="H8210" upon them mine indignation|strong="H2195", even all my fierce|strong="H2740" anger|strong="H0639": for all the earth|strong="H0776" shall be devoured|strong="H0398" with the fire|strong="H0784" of my jealousy|strong="H7068".
9 For then will I turn|strong="H2015" to the people|strong="H5971" a pure|strong="H1305" language|strong="H8193", that they may all call|strong="H7121" upon the name|strong="H8034" of the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w*, to serve|strong="H5647" him with one|strong="H0259" consent|strong="H7926".
10 From beyond|strong="H5676" the rivers|strong="H5104" of Ethiopia|strong="H3568" my suppliants|strong="H6282", even the daughter|strong="H1323" of my dispersed|strong="H6327", shall bring|strong="H2986" mine offering|strong="H4503".
11 In that day|strong="H3117" shalt thou not be ashamed|strong="H0954" for all thy doings|strong="H5949", wherein thou hast transgressed|strong="H6586" against me: for then I will take away|strong="H5493" out of the midst|strong="H7130" of thee them that rejoice|strong="H5947" in thy pride|strong="H1346", and thou shalt no more|strong="H3254" be haughty|strong="H1361" because of my holy|strong="H6944" mountain|strong="H2022".
12 I will also leave|strong="H7604" in the midst|strong="H7130" of thee an afflicted|strong="H6041" and poor|strong="H1800" people|strong="H5971", and they shall trust|strong="H2620" in the name|strong="H8034" of the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w*.
13 The remnant|strong="H7611" of Israel|strong="H3478" shall not do|strong="H6213" iniquity|strong="H5766", nor speak|strong="H1696" lies|strong="H3577"; neither shall a deceitful|strong="H8649" tongue|strong="H3956" be found|strong="H4672" in their mouth|strong="H6310": for they shall feed|strong="H7462" and lie down|strong="H7257", and none shall make them afraid|strong="H2729".
14 Sing|strong="H7442", O daughter|strong="H1323" of Zion|strong="H6726"; shout|strong="H7321", O Israel|strong="H3478"; be glad|strong="H8055" and rejoice|strong="H5937" with all the heart|strong="H3820", O daughter|strong="H1323" of Jerusalem|strong="H3389".
15 The \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* hath taken away|strong="H5493" thy judgments|strong="H4941", he hath cast out|strong="H6437" thine enemy|strong="H0341": the king|strong="H4428" of Israel|strong="H3478", even the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w*, is in the midst|strong="H7130" of thee: thou shalt not see|strong="H7200" evil|strong="H7451" any more.
16 In that day|strong="H3117" it shall be said|strong="H0559" to Jerusalem|strong="H3389", Fear|strong="H3372" thou not: and to Zion|strong="H6726", Let not thine hands|strong="H3027" be slack|strong="H7503".
17 The \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* thy God|strong="H0430" in the midst|strong="H7130" of thee is mighty|strong="H1368"; he will save|strong="H3467", he will rejoice|strong="H7797" over thee with joy|strong="H8057"; he will rest|strong="H2790" in his love|strong="H0160", he will joy|strong="H1523" over thee with singing|strong="H7440".
18 I will gather|strong="H0622" them that are sorrowful|strong="H3013" for the solemn assembly|strong="H4150", who are of thee, to whom the reproach|strong="H2781" of it was a burden|strong="H4864".
19 Behold, at that time|strong="H6256" I will undo|strong="H6213" all that afflict|strong="H6031" thee: and I will save|strong="H3467" her that halteth|strong="H6760", and gather|strong="H6908" her that was driven out|strong="H5080"; and I will get|strong="H7760" them praise|strong="H8416" and fame|strong="H8034" in every land|strong="H0776" where they have been put to shame|strong="H1322".
20 At that time|strong="H6256" will I bring|strong="H0935" you again, even in the time|strong="H6256" that I gather|strong="H6908" you: for I will make|strong="H5414" you a name|strong="H8034" and a praise|strong="H8416" among all people|strong="H5971" of the earth|strong="H0776", when I turn back|strong="H7725" your captivity|strong="H7622" before your eyes|strong="H5869", saith|strong="H0559" the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w*.
