Provérbios 7

King James (Authorized) Version (ENG-KJV2006)

My son|strong="H1121", keep|strong="H8104" my words|strong="H0561", and lay up|strong="H6845" my commandments|strong="H4687" with thee.

Keep|strong="H8104" my commandments|strong="H4687", and live|strong="H2421"; and my law|strong="H8451" as the apple|strong="H0380" of thine eye|strong="H5869".

Bind|strong="H7194" them upon thy fingers|strong="H0676", write|strong="H3789" them upon the table|strong="H3871" of thine heart|strong="H3820".

Say|strong="H0559" unto wisdom|strong="H2451", Thou art my sister|strong="H0269"; and call|strong="H7121" understanding|strong="H0998" thy kinswoman|strong="H4129":

That they may keep|strong="H8104" thee from the strange|strong="H2114" woman|strong="H0802", from the stranger|strong="H5237" which flattereth|strong="H2505" with her words|strong="H0561".

For at the window|strong="H2474" of my house|strong="H1004" I looked|strong="H8259" through my casement|strong="H0822",

And beheld|strong="H7200" among the simple ones|strong="H6612", I discerned|strong="H0995" among the youths|strong="H1121", a young man|strong="H5288" void|strong="H2638" of understanding|strong="H3820",

Passing through|strong="H5674" the street|strong="H7784" near|strong="H0681" her corner|strong="H6434"; and he went|strong="H6805" the way|strong="H1870" to her house|strong="H1004",

In the twilight|strong="H5399", in the evening|strong="H3117", in the black|strong="H0380" and dark|strong="H0653" night|strong="H3915":

And, behold, there met|strong="H7125" him a woman|strong="H0802" with the attire|strong="H7897" of an harlot|strong="H2181", and subtil|strong="H5341" of heart|strong="H3820".

(She is loud|strong="H1993" and stubborn|strong="H5637"; her feet|strong="H7272" abide|strong="H7931" not in her house|strong="H1004":

Now|strong="H6471" is she without|strong="H2351", now|strong="H6471" in the streets|strong="H7339", and lieth in wait|strong="H0693" at|strong="H0681" every corner|strong="H6438".)

So she caught|strong="H2388" him, and kissed|strong="H5401" him, and with an impudent|strong="H5810" face|strong="H6440" said|strong="H0559" unto him,

I have peace|strong="H8002" offerings|strong="H2077" with me; this day|strong="H3117" have I payed|strong="H7999" my vows|strong="H5088".

Therefore came I forth|strong="H3318" to meet|strong="H7125" thee, diligently to seek|strong="H7836" thy face|strong="H6440", and I have found|strong="H4672" thee.

I have decked|strong="H7234" my bed|strong="H6210" with coverings|strong="H4765" of tapestry, with carved|strong="H2405" works, with fine linen|strong="H0330" of Egypt|strong="H4714".

I have perfumed|strong="H5130" my bed|strong="H4904" with myrrh|strong="H4753", aloes|strong="H0174", and cinnamon|strong="H7076".

Come|strong="H3212", let us take our fill|strong="H7301" of love|strong="H1730" until the morning|strong="H1242": let us solace|strong="H5965" ourselves with loves|strong="H0159".

For the goodman|strong="H0376" is not at home|strong="H1004", he is gone|strong="H1980" a long|strong="H7350" journey|strong="H1870":

He hath taken|strong="H3947" a bag|strong="H6872" of money|strong="H3701" with him|strong="H3027", and will come|strong="H0935" home|strong="H1004" at the day|strong="H3117" appointed|strong="H3677".

With her much|strong="H7230" fair speech|strong="H3948" she caused him to yield|strong="H5186", with the flattering|strong="H2506" of her lips|strong="H8193" she forced|strong="H5080" him.

He goeth|strong="H1980" after|strong="H0310" her straightway|strong="H6597", as an ox|strong="H7794" goeth|strong="H0935" to the slaughter|strong="H2874", or as a fool|strong="H0191" to the correction|strong="H4148" of the stocks|strong="H5914";

Till a dart|strong="H2671" strike|strong="H6398" through his liver|strong="H3516"; as a bird|strong="H6833" hasteth|strong="H4116" to the snare|strong="H6341", and knoweth|strong="H3045" not that it is for his life|strong="H5315".

Hearken|strong="H8085" unto me now therefore, O ye children|strong="H1121", and attend|strong="H7181" to the words|strong="H0561" of my mouth|strong="H6310".

Let not thine heart|strong="H3820" decline|strong="H7847" to her ways|strong="H1870", go not astray|strong="H8582" in her paths|strong="H5410".

For she hath cast down|strong="H5307" many|strong="H7227" wounded|strong="H2491": yea, many strong|strong="H6099" men have been slain|strong="H2026" by her.

Her house|strong="H1004" is the way|strong="H1870" to hell|strong="H7585", going down|strong="H3381" to the chambers|strong="H2315" of death|strong="H4194".
