1 Os ditados do rei Lemuel contêm esta mensagem, que sua mãe lhe ensinou:
2 What, my son|strong="H1248"? and what, the son|strong="H1248" of my womb|strong="H0990"? and what, the son|strong="H1248" of my vows|strong="H5088"?
2 Meu filho, filho de meu ventre, filho de meus votos,
3 Give|strong="H5414" not thy strength|strong="H2428" unto women|strong="H0802", nor thy ways|strong="H1870" to that which destroyeth|strong="H4229" kings|strong="H4428".
3 não desperdice sua força com mulheres, nem sua vida com aquelas que destroem reis.
4 It is not for kings|strong="H4428", O Lemuel|strong="H3927", it is not for kings|strong="H4428" to drink|strong="H8354" wine|strong="H3196"; nor for|strong="H0335" princes|strong="H7336" strong drink|strong="H7941":
4 Não convém aos reis, ó Lemuel, tomar muito vinho; os governantes não devem desejar bebida alcoólica.
5 Lest they drink|strong="H8354", and forget|strong="H7911" the law|strong="H2710", and pervert|strong="H8138" the judgment|strong="H1779" of any of the afflicted|strong="H1121".
5 Se beberem, pode ser que se esqueçam da lei e deixem de fazer justiça aos oprimidos.
6 Give|strong="H5414" strong drink|strong="H7941" unto him that is ready to perish|strong="H0006", and wine|strong="H3196" unto those that be of heavy|strong="H4751" hearts|strong="H5315".
6 O álcool é para os que estão morrendo, e o vinho, para os que estão amargurados.
7 Let him drink|strong="H8354", and forget|strong="H7911" his poverty|strong="H7389", and remember|strong="H2142" his misery|strong="H5999" no more.
7 Que bebam para se esquecer de sua pobreza e não se lembrar de suas dificuldades.
8 Open|strong="H6605" thy mouth|strong="H6310" for the dumb|strong="H0483" in the cause|strong="H1779" of all such as are appointed|strong="H1121" to destruction|strong="H2475".
8 Fale em favor daqueles que não podem se defender; garanta justiça para os que estão aflitos.
9 Open|strong="H6605" thy mouth|strong="H6310", judge|strong="H8199" righteously|strong="H6664", and plead|strong="H1777" the cause of the poor|strong="H6041" and needy|strong="H0034".
9 Sim, fale em favor dos pobres e desamparados, e providencie que recebam justiça.
10 Who can find|strong="H4672" a virtuous|strong="H2428" woman|strong="H0802"? for her price|strong="H4377" is far|strong="H7350" above rubies|strong="H6443".
10 Quem encontrará uma mulher virtuosa? Ela é mais preciosa que rubis.
11 The heart|strong="H3820" of her husband|strong="H1167" doth safely trust|strong="H0982" in her, so that he shall have no need|strong="H2637" of spoil|strong="H7998".
11 O marido tem plena confiança nela, e ela lhe enriquecerá a vida grandemente.

14 Como navio mercante, traz alimentos de longe.
15 She riseth|strong="H6965" also while it is yet night|strong="H3915", and giveth|strong="H5414" meat|strong="H2964" to her household|strong="H1004", and a portion|strong="H2706" to her maidens|strong="H5291".
15 Levanta-se de madrugada para preparar a refeição da família e planeja as tarefas do dia para suas servas.
16 She considereth|strong="H2161" a field|strong="H7704", and buyeth|strong="H3947" it: with the fruit|strong="H6529" of her hands|strong="H3709" she planteth|strong="H5193" a vineyard|strong="H3754".
16 Vai examinar um campo e o compra; com o que ganha, planta um vinhedo.
17 She girdeth|strong="H2296" her loins|strong="H4975" with strength|strong="H5797", and strengtheneth|strong="H0553" her arms|strong="H2220".
17 É cheia de energia, forte e trabalhadora.
18 She perceiveth|strong="H2938" that her merchandise|strong="H5504" is good|strong="H2896": her candle|strong="H5216" goeth not out|strong="H3518" by night|strong="H3915".

21 Quando chega o inverno, não se preocupa, pois todos em sua família têm roupas quentes.
22 She maketh|strong="H6213" herself coverings of tapestry|strong="H4765"; her clothing|strong="H3830" is silk|strong="H8336" and purple|strong="H0713".
22 Faz suas próprias cobertas e usa vestidos de linho fino e tecido vermelho.
23 Her husband|strong="H1167" is known|strong="H3045" in the gates|strong="H8179", when he sitteth|strong="H3427" among the elders|strong="H2205" of the land|strong="H0776".
23 Seu marido é respeitado na porta da cidade, onde se senta com as demais autoridades.

25 Veste-se de força e dignidade e ri sem medo do futuro.
26 She openeth|strong="H6605" her mouth|strong="H6310" with wisdom|strong="H2451"; and in her tongue|strong="H3956" is the law|strong="H8451" of kindness|strong="H2617".
26 Quando ela fala, suas palavras são sábias; quando dá instruções, demonstra bondade.
27 She looketh well|strong="H6822" to the ways|strong="H1979" of her household|strong="H1004", and eateth|strong="H0398" not the bread|strong="H3899" of idleness|strong="H6104".
27 Cuida bem de tudo em sua casa e nunca dá lugar à preguiça.
28 Her children|strong="H1121" arise up|strong="H6965", and call her blessed|strong="H0833"; her husband|strong="H1167" also, and he praiseth|strong="H1984" her.
28 Seus filhos se levantam e a chamam de “abençoada”, e seu marido a elogia:
29 Many|strong="H7227" daughters|strong="H1323" have done|strong="H6213" virtuously|strong="H2428", but thou excellest|strong="H5927" them all.
29 “Há muitas mulheres virtuosas neste mundo, mas você supera todas elas!”.
30 Favour|strong="H2580" is deceitful|strong="H8267", and beauty|strong="H3308" is vain|strong="H1892": but a woman|strong="H0802" that feareth|strong="H3373" the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w*, she shall be praised|strong="H1984".
30 Os encantos são enganosos, e a beleza não dura para sempre, mas a mulher que teme o S
31 Give|strong="H5414" her of the fruit|strong="H6529" of her hands|strong="H3027"; and let her own works|strong="H4639" praise|strong="H1984" her in the gates|strong="H8179".
31 Recompensem-na por tudo que ela faz; que suas obras a elogiem publicamente.
