Provérbios 27

King James (Authorized) Version (ENG-KJV2006)

Boast|strong="H1984" not thyself of to morrow|strong="H4279"; for thou knowest|strong="H3045" not what a day|strong="H3117" may bring forth|strong="H3205".

Let another man|strong="H2114" praise|strong="H1984" thee, and not thine own mouth|strong="H6310"; a stranger|strong="H5237", and not thine own lips|strong="H8193".

A stone|strong="H0068" is heavy|strong="H3514", and the sand|strong="H2344" weighty|strong="H5192"; but a fool’s|strong="H0191" wrath|strong="H3708" is heavier|strong="H3515" than them both|strong="H8147".

Wrath|strong="H2534" is cruel|strong="H0395", and anger|strong="H0639" is outrageous|strong="H7858"; but who is able to stand|strong="H5975" before|strong="H6440" envy|strong="H7068"?

Open|strong="H1540" rebuke|strong="H8433" is better|strong="H2896" than secret|strong="H5641" love|strong="H0160".

Faithful|strong="H0539" are the wounds|strong="H6482" of a friend|strong="H0157"; but the kisses|strong="H5390" of an enemy|strong="H8130" are deceitful|strong="H6280".

The full|strong="H7649" soul|strong="H5315" loatheth|strong="H0947" an honeycomb|strong="H5317"; but to the hungry|strong="H7457" soul|strong="H5315" every bitter thing|strong="H4751" is sweet|strong="H4966".

As a bird|strong="H6833" that wandereth|strong="H5074" from her nest|strong="H7064", so is a man|strong="H0376" that wandereth|strong="H5074" from his place|strong="H4725".

Ointment|strong="H8081" and perfume|strong="H7004" rejoice|strong="H8055" the heart|strong="H3820": so doth the sweetness|strong="H4986" of a man’s friend|strong="H7453" by hearty|strong="H5315" counsel|strong="H6098".

Thine own friend|strong="H7453", and thy father’s|strong="H0001" friend|strong="H7453", forsake|strong="H5800" not; neither go|strong="H0935" into thy brother’s|strong="H0251" house|strong="H1004" in the day|strong="H3117" of thy calamity|strong="H0343": for better|strong="H2896" is a neighbour|strong="H7934" that is near|strong="H7138" than a brother|strong="H0251" far off|strong="H7350".

My son|strong="H1121", be wise|strong="H2449", and make my heart|strong="H3820" glad|strong="H8055", that I may answer|strong="H7725" him that reproacheth|strong="H2778" me.

A prudent|strong="H6175" man foreseeth|strong="H7200" the evil|strong="H7451", and hideth|strong="H5641" himself; but the simple|strong="H6612" pass on|strong="H5674", and are punished|strong="H6064".

Take|strong="H3947" his garment|strong="H0899" that is surety|strong="H6148" for a stranger|strong="H2114", and take a pledge|strong="H2254" of him for a strange woman|strong="H5237".

He that blesseth|strong="H1288" his friend|strong="H7453" with a loud|strong="H1419" voice|strong="H6963", rising early|strong="H7925" in the morning|strong="H1242", it shall be counted|strong="H2803" a curse|strong="H7045" to him.

A continual|strong="H2956" dropping|strong="H1812" in a very rainy|strong="H5464" day|strong="H3117" and a contentious|strong="H4079" woman|strong="H0802" are alike|strong="H7737".

Whosoever hideth|strong="H6845" her hideth|strong="H6845" the wind|strong="H7307", and the ointment|strong="H8081" of his right hand|strong="H3225", which bewrayeth|strong="H7121" itself.

Iron|strong="H1270" sharpeneth|strong="H2300" iron|strong="H1270"; so a man|strong="H0376" sharpeneth|strong="H2300" the countenance|strong="H6440" of his friend|strong="H7453".

Whoso keepeth|strong="H5341" the fig tree|strong="H8384" shall eat|strong="H0398" the fruit|strong="H6529" thereof: so he that waiteth|strong="H8104" on his master|strong="H0113" shall be honoured|strong="H3513".

As in water|strong="H4325" face|strong="H6440" answereth to face|strong="H6440", so the heart|strong="H3820" of man|strong="H0120" to man|strong="H0120".

Hell|strong="H7585" and destruction|strong="H0011" are never|strong="H3808" full|strong="H7646"; so the eyes|strong="H5869" of man|strong="H0120" are never satisfied|strong="H7646".

As the fining pot|strong="H4715" for silver|strong="H3701", and the furnace|strong="H3564" for gold|strong="H2091"; so is a man|strong="H0376" to|strong="H6310" his praise|strong="H4110".

Though thou shouldest bray|strong="H3806" a fool|strong="H0191" in a mortar|strong="H4388" among|strong="H8432" wheat|strong="H7383" with a pestle|strong="H5940", yet will not his foolishness|strong="H0200" depart|strong="H5493" from him.

Be thou diligent|strong="H3045" to know|strong="H3045" the state|strong="H6440" of thy flocks|strong="H6629", and look|strong="H7896" well|strong="H3820" to thy herds|strong="H5739".

For riches|strong="H2633" are not for ever|strong="H5769": and doth the crown|strong="H5145" endure to every|strong="H1755" generation|strong="H1755"?

The hay|strong="H2682" appeareth|strong="H1540", and the tender grass|strong="H1877" sheweth|strong="H7200" itself, and herbs|strong="H6212" of the mountains|strong="H2022" are gathered|strong="H0622".

The lambs|strong="H3532" are for thy clothing|strong="H3830", and the goats|strong="H6260" are the price|strong="H4242" of the field|strong="H7704".

And thou shalt have goats’|strong="H5795" milk|strong="H2461" enough|strong="H1767" for thy food|strong="H3899", for the food|strong="H3899" of thy household|strong="H1004", and for the maintenance|strong="H2416" for thy maidens|strong="H5291".
