Provérbios 24

King James (Authorized) Version (ENG-KJV2006)

Be not thou envious|strong="H7065" against evil|strong="H7451" men|strong="H0582", neither desire|strong="H0183" to be with them.

For their heart|strong="H3820" studieth|strong="H1897" destruction|strong="H7701", and their lips|strong="H8193" talk|strong="H1696" of mischief|strong="H5999".

Through wisdom|strong="H2451" is an house|strong="H1004" builded|strong="H1129"; and by understanding|strong="H8394" it is established|strong="H3559":

And by knowledge|strong="H1847" shall the chambers|strong="H2315" be filled|strong="H4390" with all precious|strong="H3368" and pleasant|strong="H5273" riches|strong="H1952".

A wise|strong="H2450" man|strong="H1397" is strong|strong="H5797"; yea, a man|strong="H0376" of knowledge|strong="H1847" increaseth|strong="H0553" strength|strong="H3581".

For by wise counsel|strong="H8458" thou shalt make|strong="H6213" thy war|strong="H4421": and in multitude|strong="H7230" of counsellors|strong="H3289" there is safety|strong="H8668".

Wisdom|strong="H2454" is too high|strong="H7311" for a fool|strong="H0191": he openeth|strong="H6605" not his mouth|strong="H6310" in the gate|strong="H8179".

He that deviseth|strong="H2803" to do evil|strong="H7489" shall be called|strong="H7121" a mischievous|strong="H4209" person|strong="H1167".

The thought|strong="H2154" of foolishness|strong="H0200" is sin|strong="H2403": and the scorner|strong="H3887" is an abomination|strong="H8441" to men|strong="H0120".

If thou faint|strong="H7503" in the day|strong="H3117" of adversity|strong="H6869", thy strength|strong="H3581" is small|strong="H6862".

If thou forbear|strong="H2820" to deliver|strong="H5337" them that are drawn|strong="H3947" unto death|strong="H4194", and those that are ready|strong="H4131" to be slain|strong="H2027";

If thou sayest|strong="H0559", Behold, we knew|strong="H3045" it not; doth not he that pondereth|strong="H8505" the heart|strong="H3826" consider|strong="H0995" it? and he that keepeth|strong="H5341" thy soul|strong="H5315", doth not he know|strong="H3045" it? and shall not he render|strong="H7725" to every man|strong="H0120" according to his works|strong="H6467"?

My son|strong="H1121", eat|strong="H0398" thou honey|strong="H1706", because it is good|strong="H2896"; and the honeycomb|strong="H5317", which is sweet|strong="H4966" to thy taste|strong="H2441":

So shall the knowledge|strong="H3045" of wisdom|strong="H2451" be unto thy soul|strong="H5315": when thou hast found|strong="H4672" it, then there shall be|strong="H3426" a reward|strong="H0319", and thy expectation|strong="H8615" shall not be cut off|strong="H3772".

Lay not wait|strong="H0693", O wicked|strong="H7563" man, against the dwelling|strong="H5116" of the righteous|strong="H6662"; spoil|strong="H7703" not his resting place|strong="H7258":

For a just|strong="H6662" man falleth|strong="H5307" seven times|strong="H7651", and riseth up again|strong="H6965": but the wicked|strong="H7563" shall fall|strong="H3782" into mischief|strong="H7451".

Rejoice|strong="H8055" not when thine enemy|strong="H0341" falleth|strong="H5307", and let not thine heart|strong="H3820" be glad|strong="H1523" when he stumbleth|strong="H3782":

Lest the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* see|strong="H7200" it, and it displease|strong="H7489" him, and he turn away|strong="H7725" his wrath|strong="H0639" from him.

Fret|strong="H2734" not thyself because of evil|strong="H7489" men, neither be thou envious|strong="H7065" at the wicked|strong="H7563";

For there shall be no reward|strong="H0319" to the evil|strong="H7451" man; the candle|strong="H5216" of the wicked|strong="H7563" shall be put out|strong="H1846".

My son|strong="H1121", fear|strong="H3372" thou the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* and the king|strong="H4428": and meddle|strong="H6148" not with them that are given to change|strong="H8138":

For their calamity|strong="H0343" shall rise|strong="H6965" suddenly|strong="H6597"; and who knoweth|strong="H3045" the ruin|strong="H6365" of them both|strong="H8147"?

These things also belong to the wise|strong="H2450". It is not good|strong="H2896" to have respect|strong="H5234" of persons|strong="H6440" in judgment|strong="H4941".

He that saith|strong="H0559" unto the wicked|strong="H7563", Thou art righteous|strong="H6662"; him shall the people|strong="H5971" curse|strong="H5344", nations|strong="H3816" shall abhor|strong="H2194" him:

But to them that rebuke|strong="H3198" him shall be delight|strong="H5276", and a good|strong="H2896" blessing|strong="H1293" shall come|strong="H0935" upon them.

Every man shall kiss|strong="H5401" his lips|strong="H8193" that giveth|strong="H7725" a right|strong="H5228" answer|strong="H1697".

Prepare|strong="H3559" thy work|strong="H4399" without|strong="H2351", and make it fit|strong="H6257" for thyself in the field|strong="H7704"; and afterwards|strong="H0310" build|strong="H1129" thine house|strong="H1004".

Be not a witness|strong="H5707" against thy neighbour|strong="H7453" without cause|strong="H2600"; and deceive|strong="H6601" not with thy lips|strong="H8193".

Say|strong="H0559" not, I will do|strong="H6213" so to him as he hath done|strong="H6213" to me: I will render|strong="H7725" to the man|strong="H0376" according to his work|strong="H6467".

I went|strong="H5674" by the field|strong="H7704" of the slothful|strong="H0376", and by the vineyard|strong="H3754" of the man|strong="H0120" void|strong="H2638" of understanding|strong="H3820";

And, lo, it was all grown over|strong="H5927" with thorns|strong="H7063", and nettles|strong="H2738" had covered|strong="H3680" the face|strong="H6440" thereof, and the stone|strong="H0068" wall|strong="H1444" thereof was broken down|strong="H2040".

Then I saw|strong="H2372", and considered it well|strong="H7896": I looked|strong="H7200" upon it, and received|strong="H3947" instruction|strong="H4148".

Yet a little|strong="H4592" sleep|strong="H8142", a little|strong="H4592" slumber|strong="H8572", a little|strong="H4592" folding|strong="H2264" of the hands|strong="H3027" to sleep|strong="H7901":

So shall thy poverty|strong="H7389" come|strong="H0935" as one that travelleth|strong="H1980"; and thy want|strong="H4270" as an armed|strong="H4043" man|strong="H0376".
