Oséias 9

King James (Authorized) Version (ENG-KJV2006)

Rejoice|strong="H8055" not, O Israel|strong="H3478", for joy|strong="H1524", as other people|strong="H5971": for thou hast gone a whoring|strong="H2181" from thy God|strong="H0430", thou hast loved|strong="H0157" a reward|strong="H0868" upon every cornfloor|strong="H1637".

The floor|strong="H1637" and the winepress|strong="H3342" shall not feed|strong="H7462" them, and the new wine|strong="H8492" shall fail|strong="H3584" in her.

They shall not dwell|strong="H3427" in the \+w LORD’s|strong="H3068"\+w* land|strong="H0776"; but Ephraim|strong="H0669" shall return|strong="H7725" to Egypt|strong="H4714", and they shall eat|strong="H0398" unclean|strong="H2931" things in Assyria|strong="H0804".

They shall not offer|strong="H5258" wine|strong="H3196" offerings to the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w*, neither shall they be pleasing|strong="H6149" unto him: their sacrifices|strong="H2077" shall be unto them as the bread|strong="H3899" of mourners|strong="H0205"; all that eat|strong="H0398" thereof shall be polluted|strong="H2930": for their bread|strong="H3899" for their soul|strong="H5315" shall not come|strong="H0935" into the house|strong="H1004" of the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w*.

What will ye do|strong="H6213" in the solemn|strong="H4150" day|strong="H3117", and in the day|strong="H3117" of the feast|strong="H2282" of the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w*?

For, lo, they are gone|strong="H1980" because of destruction|strong="H7701": Egypt|strong="H4714" shall gather them up|strong="H6908", Memphis|strong="H4644" shall bury|strong="H6912" them: the pleasant|strong="H4261" places for their silver|strong="H3701", nettles|strong="H7057" shall possess|strong="H3423" them: thorns|strong="H2336" shall be in their tabernacles|strong="H0168".

The days|strong="H3117" of visitation|strong="H6486" are come|strong="H0935", the days|strong="H3117" of recompence|strong="H7966" are come|strong="H0935"; Israel|strong="H3478" shall know|strong="H3045" it: the prophet|strong="H5030" is a fool|strong="H0191", the spiritual|strong="H7307" man|strong="H0376" is mad|strong="H7696", for the multitude|strong="H7230" of thine iniquity|strong="H5771", and the great|strong="H7227" hatred|strong="H4895".

The watchman|strong="H6822" of Ephraim|strong="H0669" was with my God|strong="H0430": but the prophet|strong="H5030" is a snare|strong="H6341" of a fowler|strong="H3352" in all his ways|strong="H1870", and hatred|strong="H4895" in the house|strong="H1004" of his God|strong="H0430".

They have deeply|strong="H6009" corrupted|strong="H7843" themselves, as in the days|strong="H3117" of Gibeah|strong="H1390": therefore he will remember|strong="H2142" their iniquity|strong="H5771", he will visit|strong="H6485" their sins|strong="H2403".

I found|strong="H4672" Israel|strong="H3478" like grapes|strong="H6025" in the wilderness|strong="H4057"; I saw|strong="H7200" your fathers|strong="H0001" as the firstripe|strong="H1063" in the fig tree|strong="H8384" at her first time|strong="H7225": but they went|strong="H0935" to Baal-peor|strong="H1187", and separated|strong="H5144" themselves unto that shame|strong="H1322"; and their abominations|strong="H8251" were according as they loved|strong="H0157".

As for Ephraim|strong="H0669", their glory|strong="H3519" shall fly away|strong="H5774" like a bird|strong="H5775", from the birth|strong="H3205", and from the womb|strong="H0990", and from the conception|strong="H2032".

Though they bring up|strong="H1431" their children|strong="H1121", yet will I bereave|strong="H7921" them, that there shall not be a man|strong="H0120" left: yea, woe|strong="H0188" also to them when I depart|strong="H5493" from them!

Ephraim|strong="H0669", as I saw|strong="H7200" Tyrus|strong="H6865", is planted|strong="H8362" in a pleasant place|strong="H5116": but Ephraim|strong="H0669" shall bring forth|strong="H3318" his children|strong="H1121" to the murderer|strong="H2026".

Give|strong="H5414" them, O \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w*: what wilt thou give|strong="H5414"? give|strong="H5414" them a miscarrying|strong="H7921" womb|strong="H7358" and dry|strong="H6784" breasts|strong="H7699".

All their wickedness|strong="H7451" is in Gilgal|strong="H1537": for there I hated|strong="H8130" them: for the wickedness|strong="H7455" of their doings|strong="H4611" I will drive them out|strong="H1644" of mine house|strong="H1004", I will love|strong="H0160" them no more|strong="H3254": all their princes|strong="H8269" are revolters|strong="H5637".

Ephraim|strong="H0669" is smitten|strong="H5221", their root|strong="H8328" is dried up|strong="H3001", they shall bear|strong="H6213" no fruit|strong="H6529": yea, though they bring forth|strong="H3205", yet will I slay|strong="H4191" even the beloved|strong="H4261" fruit of their womb|strong="H0990".

My God|strong="H0430" will cast them away|strong="H3988", because they did not hearken|strong="H8085" unto him: and they shall be wanderers|strong="H5074" among the nations|strong="H1471".
