1 And|strong="G2532" it came to pass|strong="G1096", that when|strong="G3753" Jesus|strong="G2424" had finished|strong="G5055" these|strong="G5128" sayings|strong="G3056", he departed|strong="G3332" from|strong="G0575" Galilee|strong="G1056", and|strong="G2532" came|strong="G2064" into|strong="G1519" the coasts|strong="G3725" of Judaea|strong="G2449" beyond|strong="G4008" Jordan|strong="G2446";
2 And|strong="G2532" great|strong="G4183" multitudes|strong="G3793" followed|strong="G0190" him|strong="G0846"; and|strong="G2532" he healed|strong="G2323" them|strong="G0846" there|strong="G1563".
3 The Pharisees|strong="G5330" also|strong="G2532" came|strong="G4334" unto him|strong="G0846", tempting|strong="G3985" him|strong="G0846", and|strong="G2532" saying|strong="G3004" unto him|strong="G0846", Is it|strong="G1487" lawful|strong="G1832" for a man|strong="G0444" to put away|strong="G0630" his|strong="G0846" wife|strong="G1135" for|strong="G2596" every|strong="G3956" cause|strong="G0156"?
4 And|strong="G1161" he answered|strong="G0611" and said|strong="G2036" unto them|strong="G0846", \+w Have ye|strong="G0314"\+w* \+w not|strong="G3756"\+w* \+w read|strong="G0314"\+w*, \+w that|strong="G3754"\+w* \+w he which made|strong="G4160"\+w* \+add them\+add* \+w at|strong="G0575"\+w* \+w the beginning|strong="G0746"\+w* \+w made|strong="G4160"\+w* \+w them|strong="G0846"\+w* \+w male|strong="G0730"\+w* \+w and|strong="G2532"\+w* \+w female|strong="G2338"\+w*,
5 \+w And|strong="G2532"\+w* \+w said|strong="G2036"\+w*, \+w For|strong="G1752"\+w* \+w this|strong="G5127"\+w* \+w cause|strong="G1752"\+w* \+w shall|strong="G2641"\+w* \+w a man|strong="G0444"\+w* \+w leave|strong="G2641"\+w* \+w father|strong="G3962"\+w* \+w and|strong="G2532"\+w* \+w mother|strong="G3384"\+w*, \+w and|strong="G2532"\+w* \+w shall cleave|strong="G4347"\+w* \+w to|strong="G1135"\+w* \+w his|strong="G0846"\+w* \+w wife|strong="G1135"\+w*: \+w and|strong="G2532"\+w* \+w they|strong="G2071"\+w* \+w twain|strong="G1417"\+w* \+w shall be|strong="G2071"\+w* \+w one|strong="G1520"\+w* \+w flesh|strong="G4561"\+w*?
6 \+w Wherefore|strong="G5620"\+w* \+w they are|strong="G1526"\+w* \+w no more|strong="G3765"\+w* \+w twain|strong="G1417"\+w*, \+w but|strong="G0235"\+w* \+w one|strong="G1520"\+w* \+w flesh|strong="G4561"\+w*. \+w What|strong="G3739"\+w* \+w therefore|strong="G3767"\+w* \+w God|strong="G2316"\+w* \+w hath joined together|strong="G4801"\+w*, \+w let|strong="G5563"\+w* \+w not|strong="G3361"\+w* \+w man|strong="G0444"\+w* \+w put asunder|strong="G5563"\+w*.
7 They say|strong="G3004" unto him|strong="G0846", Why|strong="G5101" did|strong="G1781" Moses|strong="G3475" then|strong="G3767" command|strong="G1781" to give|strong="G1325" a writing|strong="G0975" of divorcement|strong="G0647", and|strong="G2532" to put|strong="G0630" her|strong="G0846" away|strong="G0630"?
8 He saith|strong="G3004" unto them|strong="G0846", \+w Moses|strong="G3475"\+w* \+w because|strong="G4314"\+w* \+w of the hardness of|strong="G4641"\+w* \+w your|strong="G5216"\+w* \+w hearts|strong="G4641"\+w* \+w suffered|strong="G2010"\+w* \+w you|strong="G5213"\+w* \+w to put away|strong="G0630"\+w* \+w your|strong="G5216"\+w* \+w wives|strong="G1135"\+w*: \+w but|strong="G1161"\+w* \+w from|strong="G0575"\+w* \+w the beginning|strong="G0746"\+w* \+w it was|strong="G1096"\+w* \+w not|strong="G3756"\+w* \+w so|strong="G3779"\+w*.
9 \+w And|strong="G1161"\+w* \+w I say|strong="G3004"\+w* \+w unto you|strong="G5213"\+w*, \+w Whosoever|strong="G3739"\+w* \+w shall put away|strong="G0630"\+w* \+w his|strong="G0846"\+w* \+w wife|strong="G1135"\+w*, \+w except|strong="G1487"\+w* \+add it be\+add* \+w for|strong="G1909"\+w* \+w fornication|strong="G4202"\+w*, \+w and|strong="G2532"\+w* \+w shall marry|strong="G1060"\+w* \+w another|strong="G0243"\+w*, \+w committeth adultery|strong="G3429"\+w*: \+w and|strong="G2532"\+w* \+w whoso marrieth|strong="G1060"\+w* \+w her which is put away|strong="G0630"\+w* \+w doth commit adultery|strong="G3429"\+w*.
10 His|strong="G0846" disciples|strong="G3101" say|strong="G3004" unto him|strong="G0846", If|strong="G1487" the case|strong="G0156" of the man|strong="G0444" be|strong="G2076" so|strong="G3779" with|strong="G3326" his wife|strong="G1135", it is|strong="G4851" not|strong="G3756" good|strong="G4851" to marry|strong="G1060".
11 But|strong="G1161" he said|strong="G2036" unto them|strong="G0846", \+w All|strong="G3956"\+w* \+add men\+add* \+w cannot|strong="G3756"\+w* \+w receive|strong="G5562"\+w* \+w this|strong="G5126"\+w* \+w saying|strong="G3056"\+w*, \+w save|strong="G0235"\+w* \+add they\+add* \+w to whom|strong="G3739"\+w* \+w it is given|strong="G1325"\+w*.
12 \+w For|strong="G1063"\+w* \+w there are|strong="G1526"\+w* \+w some|strong="G3748"\+w* \+w eunuchs|strong="G2135"\+w*, \+w which|strong="G3748"\+w* \+w were|strong="G1080"\+w* \+w so|strong="G3779"\+w* \+w born|strong="G1080"\+w* \+w from|strong="G1537"\+w* \+add their\+add* \+w mother’s|strong="G3384"\+w* \+w womb|strong="G2836"\+w*: \+w and|strong="G2532"\+w* \+w there are|strong="G1526"\+w* \+w some|strong="G3748"\+w* \+w eunuchs|strong="G2135"\+w*, \+w which|strong="G3748"\+w* \+w were made eunuchs|strong="G2134"\+w* \+w of|strong="G5259"\+w* \+w men|strong="G0444"\+w*: \+w and|strong="G2532"\+w* \+w there be|strong="G1526"\+w* \+w eunuchs|strong="G2135"\+w*, \+w which|strong="G3748"\+w* \+w have made|strong="G2134"\+w* \+w themselves|strong="G1438"\+w* \+w eunuchs|strong="G2134"\+w* \+w for|strong="G1223"\+w* \+w the kingdom|strong="G0932"\+w* \+w of heaven’s|strong="G3772"\+w* \+w sake|strong="G1223"\+w*. \+w He that is able|strong="G1410"\+w* \+w to receive|strong="G5562"\+w* \+add it\+add*, \+w let him receive|strong="G5562"\+w* \+add it.\+add*
13 Then|strong="G5119" were there brought|strong="G4374" unto him|strong="G0846" little children|strong="G3813", that|strong="G2443" he should put|strong="G2007" his hands|strong="G5495" on them|strong="G0846", and|strong="G2532" pray|strong="G4336": and|strong="G1161" the disciples|strong="G3101" rebuked|strong="G2008" them|strong="G0846".
14 But|strong="G1161" Jesus|strong="G2424" said|strong="G2036", \+w Suffer|strong="G0863"\+w* \+w little children|strong="G3813"\+w*, \+w and|strong="G2532"\+w* \+w forbid|strong="G2967"\+w* \+w them|strong="G0846"\+w* \+w not|strong="G3361"\+w*, \+w to come|strong="G2064"\+w* \+w unto|strong="G4314"\+w* \+w me|strong="G3165"\+w*: \+w for|strong="G1063"\+w* \+w of such|strong="G5108"\+w* \+w is|strong="G2076"\+w* \+w the kingdom|strong="G0932"\+w* \+w of heaven|strong="G3772"\+w*.
15 And|strong="G2532" he laid|strong="G2007" his hands|strong="G5495" on them|strong="G0846", and departed|strong="G4198" thence|strong="G1564".
16 And|strong="G2532", behold|strong="G2400", one|strong="G1520" came|strong="G4334" and said|strong="G2036" unto him|strong="G0846", Good|strong="G0018" Master|strong="G1320", what|strong="G5101" good thing|strong="G0018" shall I do|strong="G4160", that|strong="G2443" I may have|strong="G2192" eternal|strong="G0166" life|strong="G2222"?
17 And|strong="G1161" he said|strong="G2036" unto him|strong="G0846", \+w Why|strong="G5101"\+w* \+w callest thou|strong="G3004"\+w* \+w me|strong="G3165"\+w* \+w good|strong="G0018"\+w*? \+add there is\+add* \+w none|strong="G3762"\+w* \+w good|strong="G0018"\+w* \+w but|strong="G1487"\+w* \+w one|strong="G1520"\+w*, \+add that is\+add*, \+w God|strong="G2316"\+w*: \+w but|strong="G1161"\+w* \+w if|strong="G1487"\+w* \+w thou wilt|strong="G2309"\+w* \+w enter|strong="G1525"\+w* \+w into|strong="G1519"\+w* \+w life|strong="G2222"\+w*, \+w keep|strong="G5083"\+w* \+w the commandments|strong="G1785"\+w*.
18 He saith|strong="G3004" unto him|strong="G0846", Which|strong="G4169"? Jesus|strong="G2424" said|strong="G2036", Thou shalt \+w do|strong="G5407"\+w* \+w no|strong="G3756"\+w* \+w murder|strong="G5407"\+w*, Thou \+w shalt|strong="G3431"\+w* \+w not|strong="G3756"\+w* commit \+w adultery|strong="G3431"\+w*, Thou \+w shalt|strong="G2813"\+w* \+w not|strong="G3756"\+w* \+w steal|strong="G2813"\+w*, Thou \+w shalt|strong="G5576"\+w* \+w not|strong="G3756"\+w* bear false \+w witness|strong="G5576"\+w*,
19 \+w Honour|strong="G5091"\+w* \+w thy|strong="G4675"\+w* \+w father|strong="G3962"\+w* \+w and|strong="G2532"\+w* \+add thy\+add* \+w mother|strong="G3384"\+w*: \+w and|strong="G2532"\+w*, \+w Thou shalt love|strong="G0025"\+w* \+w thy|strong="G4675"\+w* \+w neighbour|strong="G4139"\+w* \+w as|strong="G5613"\+w* \+w thyself|strong="G4572"\+w*.
20 The young man|strong="G3495" saith|strong="G3004" unto him|strong="G0846", All|strong="G3956" these things|strong="G5023" have I kept|strong="G5442" from|strong="G1537" my|strong="G3450" youth|strong="G3503" up|strong="G1537": what|strong="G5101" lack I|strong="G5302" yet|strong="G2089"?
21 Jesus|strong="G2424" said|strong="G5346" unto him|strong="G0846", \+w If|strong="G1487"\+w* \+w thou wilt|strong="G2309"\+w* \+w be|strong="G1511"\+w* \+w perfect|strong="G5046"\+w*, \+w go|strong="G5217"\+w* \+add and\+add* \+w sell|strong="G4453"\+w* \+w that|strong="G5224"\+w* \+w thou|strong="G4675"\+w* \+w hast|strong="G5224"\+w*, \+w and|strong="G2532"\+w* \+w give|strong="G1325"\+w* \+w to the poor|strong="G4434"\+w*, \+w and|strong="G2532"\+w* \+w thou shalt have|strong="G2192"\+w* \+w treasure|strong="G2344"\+w* \+w in|strong="G1722"\+w* \+w heaven|strong="G3772"\+w*: \+w and|strong="G2532"\+w* \+w come|strong="G1204"\+w* \+add and\+add* \+w follow|strong="G0190"\+w* \+w me|strong="G3427"\+w*.
22 But|strong="G1161" when|strong="G0191" the young man|strong="G3495" heard|strong="G0191" that saying|strong="G3056", he went away|strong="G0565" sorrowful|strong="G3076": for|strong="G1063" he had|strong="G2192" great|strong="G4183" possessions|strong="G2933".
23 Then|strong="G1161" said|strong="G2036" Jesus|strong="G2424" unto|strong="G3101" his|strong="G0846" disciples|strong="G3101", \+w Verily|strong="G0281"\+w* \+w I say|strong="G3004"\+w* \+w unto you|strong="G5213"\+w*, \+w That|strong="G3754"\+w* \+w a rich man|strong="G4145"\+w* \+w shall|strong="G1525"\+w* \+w hardly|strong="G1423"\+w* \+w enter|strong="G1525"\+w* \+w into|strong="G1519"\+w* \+w the kingdom|strong="G0932"\+w* \+w of heaven|strong="G3772"\+w*.
24 \+w And|strong="G1161"\+w* \+w again|strong="G3825"\+w* \+w I say|strong="G3004"\+w* \+w unto you|strong="G5213"\+w*, \+w It is|strong="G2076"\+w* \+w easier|strong="G2123"\+w* \+w for|strong="G1330"\+w* \+w a camel|strong="G2574"\+w* \+w to go|strong="G1330"\+w* \+w through|strong="G1223"\+w* \+w the eye|strong="G5169"\+w* \+w of a needle|strong="G4476"\+w*, \+w than|strong="G2228"\+w* \+w for|strong="G1525"\+w* \+w a rich man|strong="G4145"\+w* \+w to enter|strong="G1525"\+w* \+w into|strong="G1519"\+w* \+w the kingdom|strong="G0932"\+w* \+w of God|strong="G2316"\+w*.
25 When|strong="G1161" his|strong="G0846" disciples|strong="G3101" heard|strong="G0191" it, they were|strong="G1605" exceedingly|strong="G4970" amazed|strong="G1605", saying|strong="G3004", Who|strong="G5101" then|strong="G0687" can|strong="G1410" be saved|strong="G4982"?
26 But|strong="G1161" Jesus|strong="G2424" beheld|strong="G1689" them, and said|strong="G2036" unto them|strong="G0846", \+w With|strong="G3844"\+w* \+w men|strong="G0444"\+w* \+w this|strong="G5124"\+w* \+w is|strong="G2076"\+w* \+w impossible|strong="G0102"\+w*; \+w but|strong="G1161"\+w* \+w with|strong="G3844"\+w* \+w God|strong="G2316"\+w* \+w all things|strong="G3956"\+w* \+w are|strong="G2076"\+w* \+w possible|strong="G1415"\+w*.
27 Then|strong="G5119" answered|strong="G0611" Peter|strong="G4074" and said|strong="G2036" unto him|strong="G0846", Behold|strong="G2400", we|strong="G2249" have forsaken|strong="G0863" all|strong="G3956", and|strong="G2532" followed|strong="G0190" thee|strong="G4671"; what|strong="G5101" shall|strong="G2071" we|strong="G2254" have|strong="G2071" therefore|strong="G0687"?
28 And|strong="G1161" Jesus|strong="G2424" said|strong="G2036" unto them|strong="G0846", \+w Verily|strong="G0281"\+w* \+w I say|strong="G3004"\+w* \+w unto you|strong="G5213"\+w*, \+w That|strong="G3754"\+w* \+w ye|strong="G5210"\+w* \+w which have followed|strong="G0190"\+w* \+w me|strong="G3427"\+w*, \+w in|strong="G1722"\+w* \+w the regeneration|strong="G3824"\+w* \+w when|strong="G3752"\+w* \+w the Son|strong="G5207"\+w* \+w of man|strong="G0444"\+w* \+w shall sit|strong="G2523"\+w* \+w in|strong="G1909"\+w* \+w the throne|strong="G2362"\+w* \+w of|strong="G1391"\+w* \+w his|strong="G0846"\+w* \+w glory|strong="G1391"\+w*, \+w ye|strong="G5210"\+w* \+w also|strong="G2532"\+w* \+w shall sit|strong="G2523"\+w* \+w upon|strong="G1909"\+w* \+w twelve|strong="G1427"\+w* \+w thrones|strong="G2362"\+w*, \+w judging|strong="G2919"\+w* \+w the twelve|strong="G1427"\+w* \+w tribes|strong="G5443"\+w* \+w of Israel|strong="G2474"\+w*.
29 \+w And|strong="G2532"\+w* \+w every|strong="G3956"\+w* \+w one|strong="G3739"\+w* \+w that hath forsaken|strong="G0863"\+w* \+w houses|strong="G3614"\+w*, \+w or|strong="G2228"\+w* \+w brethren|strong="G0080"\+w*, \+w or|strong="G2228"\+w* \+w sisters|strong="G0079"\+w*, \+w or|strong="G2228"\+w* \+w father|strong="G3962"\+w*, \+w or|strong="G2228"\+w* \+w mother|strong="G3384"\+w*, \+w or|strong="G2228"\+w* \+w wife|strong="G1135"\+w*, \+w or|strong="G2228"\+w* \+w children|strong="G5043"\+w*, \+w or|strong="G2228"\+w* \+w lands|strong="G0068"\+w*, \+w for|strong="G1752"\+w* \+w my|strong="G3450"\+w* \+w name’s|strong="G3686"\+w* \+w sake|strong="G1752"\+w*, \+w shall receive|strong="G2983"\+w* \+w an hundredfold|strong="G1542"\+w*, \+w and|strong="G2532"\+w* \+w shall inherit|strong="G2816"\+w* \+w everlasting|strong="G0166"\+w* \+w life|strong="G2222"\+w*.
30 \+w But|strong="G1161"\+w* \+w many|strong="G4183"\+w* \+add that are\+add* \+w first|strong="G4413"\+w* \+w shall be|strong="G2071"\+w* \+w last|strong="G2078"\+w*; \+w and|strong="G2532"\+w* \+w the last|strong="G2078"\+w* \+add shall be\+add* \+w first|strong="G4413"\+w*.
