Jeremias 30

King James (Authorized) Version (ENG-KJV2006)

The word|strong="H1697" that came to Jeremiah|strong="H3414" from the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w*, saying|strong="H0559",

Thus speaketh|strong="H0559" the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* God|strong="H0430" of Israel|strong="H3478", saying|strong="H0559", Write|strong="H3789" thee all the words|strong="H1697" that I have spoken|strong="H1696" unto thee in a book|strong="H5612".

For, lo, the days|strong="H3117" come|strong="H0935", saith|strong="H5002" the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w*, that I will bring again|strong="H7725" the captivity|strong="H7622" of my people|strong="H5971" Israel|strong="H3478" and Judah|strong="H3063", saith|strong="H0559" the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w*: and I will cause them to return|strong="H7725" to the land|strong="H0776" that I gave|strong="H5414" to their fathers|strong="H0001", and they shall possess|strong="H3423" it.

And these are the words|strong="H1697" that the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* spake|strong="H1696" concerning Israel|strong="H3478" and concerning Judah|strong="H3063".

For thus saith|strong="H0559" the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w*; We have heard|strong="H8085" a voice|strong="H6963" of trembling|strong="H2731", of fear|strong="H6343", and not of peace|strong="H7965".

Ask|strong="H7592" ye now, and see|strong="H7200" whether a man|strong="H2145" doth travail with child|strong="H3205"? wherefore do I see|strong="H7200" every man|strong="H1397" with his hands|strong="H3027" on his loins|strong="H2504", as a woman in travail|strong="H3205", and all faces|strong="H6440" are turned|strong="H2015" into paleness|strong="H3420"?

Alas|strong="H1945"! for that day|strong="H3117" is great|strong="H1419", so that|strong="H0369" none is like it: it is even the time|strong="H6256" of Jacob’s|strong="H3290" trouble|strong="H6869"; but he shall be saved|strong="H3467" out of it.

For it shall come to pass in that day|strong="H3117", saith|strong="H5002" the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* of hosts|strong="H6635", that I will break|strong="H7665" his yoke|strong="H5923" from off thy neck|strong="H6677", and will burst|strong="H5423" thy bonds|strong="H4147", and strangers|strong="H2114" shall no more serve|strong="H5647" themselves of him:

But they shall serve|strong="H5647" the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* their God|strong="H0430", and David|strong="H1732" their king|strong="H4428", whom I will raise up|strong="H6965" unto them.

Therefore fear|strong="H3372" thou not, O my servant|strong="H5650" Jacob|strong="H3290", saith|strong="H5002" the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w*; neither be dismayed|strong="H2865", O Israel|strong="H3478": for, lo, I will save|strong="H3467" thee from afar|strong="H7350", and thy seed|strong="H2233" from the land|strong="H0776" of their captivity|strong="H7628"; and Jacob|strong="H3290" shall return|strong="H7725", and shall be in rest|strong="H8252", and be quiet|strong="H7599", and none shall make him afraid|strong="H2729".

For I am with thee, saith|strong="H5002" the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w*, to save|strong="H3467" thee: though I make|strong="H6213" a full end|strong="H3617" of all nations|strong="H1471" whither I have scattered|strong="H6327" thee, yet will I not make|strong="H6213" a full end|strong="H3617" of thee: but I will correct|strong="H3256" thee in measure|strong="H4941", and will not leave thee altogether|strong="H5352" unpunished|strong="H5352".

For thus saith|strong="H0559" the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w*, Thy bruise|strong="H7667" is incurable|strong="H0605", and thy wound|strong="H4347" is grievous|strong="H2470".

There is none to plead|strong="H1777" thy cause|strong="H1779", that thou mayest be bound up|strong="H4205": thou hast no healing|strong="H8585" medicines|strong="H7499".

All thy lovers|strong="H0157" have forgotten|strong="H7911" thee; they seek|strong="H1875" thee not; for I have wounded|strong="H5221" thee with the wound|strong="H4347" of an enemy|strong="H0341", with the chastisement|strong="H4148" of a cruel one|strong="H0394", for the multitude|strong="H7230" of thine iniquity|strong="H5771"; because thy sins|strong="H2403" were increased|strong="H6105".

Why criest|strong="H2199" thou for thine affliction|strong="H7667"? thy sorrow|strong="H4341" is incurable|strong="H0605" for the multitude|strong="H7230" of thine iniquity|strong="H5771": because thy sins|strong="H2403" were increased|strong="H6105", I have done|strong="H6213" these things unto thee.

Therefore all they that devour|strong="H0398" thee shall be devoured|strong="H0398"; and all thine adversaries|strong="H6862", every one of them, shall go|strong="H3212" into captivity|strong="H7628"; and they that spoil|strong="H7601" thee shall be a spoil|strong="H4933", and all that prey|strong="H0962" upon thee will I give|strong="H5414" for a prey|strong="H0957".

For I will restore|strong="H5927" health|strong="H0724" unto thee, and I will heal|strong="H7495" thee of thy wounds|strong="H4347", saith|strong="H5002" the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w*; because they called|strong="H7121" thee an Outcast|strong="H5080", saying, This is Zion|strong="H6726", whom no man seeketh after|strong="H1875".

Thus saith|strong="H0559" the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w*; Behold, I will bring again|strong="H7725" the captivity|strong="H7622" of Jacob’s|strong="H3290" tents|strong="H0168", and have mercy|strong="H7355" on his dwellingplaces|strong="H4908"; and the city|strong="H5892" shall be builded|strong="H1129" upon her own heap|strong="H8510", and the palace|strong="H0759" shall remain|strong="H3427" after the manner|strong="H4941" thereof.

And out of them shall proceed|strong="H3318" thanksgiving|strong="H8426" and the voice|strong="H6963" of them that make merry|strong="H7832": and I will multiply|strong="H7235" them, and they shall not be few|strong="H4591"; I will also glorify|strong="H3513" them, and they shall not be small|strong="H6819".

Their children|strong="H1121" also shall be as aforetime|strong="H6924", and their congregation|strong="H5712" shall be established|strong="H3559" before|strong="H6440" me, and I will punish|strong="H6485" all that oppress|strong="H3905" them.

And their nobles|strong="H0117" shall be of themselves, and their governor|strong="H4910" shall proceed|strong="H3318" from the midst|strong="H7130" of them; and I will cause him to draw near|strong="H7126", and he shall approach|strong="H5066" unto me: for who is this that engaged|strong="H6148" his heart|strong="H3820" to approach|strong="H5066" unto me? saith|strong="H5002" the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w*.

And ye shall be my people|strong="H5971", and I will be your God|strong="H0430".

Behold, the whirlwind|strong="H5591" of the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* goeth forth|strong="H3318" with fury|strong="H2534", a continuing|strong="H1641" whirlwind|strong="H5591": it shall fall with pain|strong="H2342" upon the head|strong="H7218" of the wicked|strong="H7563".

The fierce|strong="H2740" anger|strong="H0639" of the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* shall not return|strong="H7725", until he have done|strong="H6213" it, and until he have performed|strong="H6965" the intents|strong="H4209" of his heart|strong="H3820": in the latter|strong="H0319" days|strong="H3117" ye shall consider|strong="H0995" it.
