Jó 24

King James (Authorized) Version (ENG-KJV2006)

Why, seeing times|strong="H6256" are not hidden|strong="H6845" from the Almighty|strong="H7706", do they that know|strong="H3045" him not see|strong="H2372" his days|strong="H3117"?

Some remove|strong="H5381" the landmarks|strong="H1367"; they violently take away|strong="H1497" flocks|strong="H5739", and feed|strong="H7462" thereof.

They drive away|strong="H5090" the ass|strong="H2543" of the fatherless|strong="H3490", they take|strong="H2254" the widow’s|strong="H0490" ox|strong="H7794" for a pledge|strong="H2254".

They turn|strong="H5186" the needy|strong="H0034" out of the way|strong="H1870": the poor|strong="H6041" of the earth|strong="H0776" hide|strong="H2244" themselves together|strong="H3162".

Behold, as wild asses|strong="H6501" in the desert|strong="H4057", go they forth|strong="H3318" to their work|strong="H6467"; rising betimes|strong="H7836" for a prey|strong="H2964": the wilderness|strong="H6160" yieldeth food|strong="H3899" for them and for their children|strong="H5288".

They reap|strong="H7114" every one his corn|strong="H1098" in the field|strong="H7704": and they gather|strong="H3953" the vintage|strong="H3754" of the wicked|strong="H7563".

They cause the naked|strong="H6174" to lodge|strong="H3885" without clothing|strong="H3830", that they have no covering|strong="H3682" in the cold|strong="H7135".

They are wet|strong="H7372" with the showers|strong="H2230" of the mountains|strong="H2022", and embrace|strong="H2263" the rock|strong="H6697" for want of a shelter|strong="H4268".

They pluck|strong="H1497" the fatherless|strong="H3490" from the breast|strong="H7699", and take a pledge|strong="H2254" of the poor|strong="H6041".

They cause him to go|strong="H1980" naked|strong="H6174" without clothing|strong="H3830", and they take away|strong="H5375" the sheaf|strong="H6016" from the hungry|strong="H7457";

Which make oil|strong="H6671" within|strong="H0996" their walls|strong="H7791", and tread|strong="H1869" their winepresses|strong="H3342", and suffer thirst|strong="H6770".

Men|strong="H4962" groan|strong="H5008" from out of the city|strong="H5892", and the soul|strong="H5315" of the wounded|strong="H2491" crieth out|strong="H7768": yet God|strong="H0433" layeth|strong="H7760" not folly|strong="H8604" to them.

They are of those that rebel|strong="H4775" against the light|strong="H0216"; they know|strong="H5234" not the ways|strong="H1870" thereof, nor abide|strong="H3427" in the paths|strong="H5410" thereof.

The murderer|strong="H7523" rising|strong="H6965" with the light|strong="H0216" killeth|strong="H6991" the poor|strong="H6041" and needy|strong="H0034", and in the night|strong="H3915" is as a thief|strong="H1590".

The eye|strong="H5869" also of the adulterer|strong="H5003" waiteth|strong="H8104" for the twilight|strong="H5399", saying|strong="H0559", No eye|strong="H5869" shall see|strong="H7789" me: and disguiseth|strong="H5643" his face|strong="H6440".

In the dark|strong="H2822" they dig through|strong="H2864" houses|strong="H1004", which they had marked|strong="H2856" for themselves in the daytime|strong="H3119": they know|strong="H3045" not the light|strong="H0216".

For the morning|strong="H1242" is to them even as|strong="H3162" the shadow of death|strong="H6757": if one know|strong="H5234" them, they are in the terrors|strong="H1091" of the shadow of death|strong="H6757".

He is swift|strong="H7031" as the waters|strong="H6440"; their portion|strong="H2513" is cursed|strong="H7043" in the earth|strong="H0776": he beholdeth|strong="H6437" not the way|strong="H1870" of the vineyards|strong="H3754".

Drought|strong="H6723" and heat|strong="H2527" consume|strong="H1497" the snow|strong="H7950" waters|strong="H4325": so doth the grave|strong="H7585" those which have sinned|strong="H2398".

The womb|strong="H7358" shall forget|strong="H7911" him; the worm|strong="H7415" shall feed sweetly|strong="H4988" on him; he shall be no more remembered|strong="H2142"; and wickedness|strong="H5766" shall be broken|strong="H7665" as a tree|strong="H6086".

He evil entreateth|strong="H7462" the barren|strong="H6135" that beareth|strong="H3205" not: and doeth not good|strong="H3190" to the widow|strong="H0490".

He draweth|strong="H4900" also the mighty|strong="H0047" with his power|strong="H3581": he riseth up|strong="H6965", and no man is sure|strong="H0539" of life|strong="H2416".

Though it be given|strong="H5414" him to be in safety|strong="H0983", whereon he resteth|strong="H8172"; yet his eyes|strong="H5869" are upon their ways|strong="H1870".

They are exalted|strong="H7426" for a little while|strong="H4592", but are gone and brought low|strong="H4355"; they are taken out|strong="H7092" of the way|strong="H1870" as all other, and cut off|strong="H5243" as the tops|strong="H7218" of the ears of corn|strong="H7641".

And if it be not so now|strong="H0645", who will make|strong="H7760" me a liar|strong="H3576", and make|strong="H7760" my speech|strong="H4405" nothing worth|strong="H0408"?
