Jó 20

King James (Authorized) Version (ENG-KJV2006)

Then answered|strong="H6030" Zophar|strong="H6691" the Naamathite|strong="H5284", and said|strong="H0559",

Therefore do my thoughts|strong="H5587" cause me to answer|strong="H7725", and for this I make haste|strong="H2363".

I have heard|strong="H8085" the check|strong="H4148" of my reproach|strong="H3639", and the spirit|strong="H7307" of my understanding|strong="H0998" causeth me to answer|strong="H6030".

Knowest|strong="H3045" thou not this of old|strong="H5703", since man|strong="H0120" was placed|strong="H7760" upon earth|strong="H0776",

That the triumphing|strong="H7445" of the wicked|strong="H7563" is short|strong="H7138", and the joy|strong="H8057" of the hypocrite|strong="H2611" but for a moment|strong="H7281"?

Though his excellency|strong="H7863" mount up|strong="H5927" to the heavens|strong="H8064", and his head|strong="H7218" reach|strong="H5060" unto the clouds|strong="H5645";

Yet he shall perish|strong="H0006" for ever|strong="H5331" like his own dung|strong="H1561": they which have seen|strong="H7200" him shall say|strong="H0559", Where|strong="H0335" is he?

He shall fly away|strong="H5774" as a dream|strong="H2472", and shall not be found|strong="H4672": yea, he shall be chased away|strong="H5074" as a vision|strong="H2384" of the night|strong="H3915".

The eye|strong="H5869" also which saw|strong="H7805" him shall see him no more|strong="H3254"; neither shall his place|strong="H4725" any more behold|strong="H7789" him.

His children|strong="H1121" shall seek to please|strong="H7521" the poor|strong="H1800", and his hands|strong="H3027" shall restore|strong="H7725" their goods|strong="H0202".

His bones|strong="H6106" are full|strong="H4390" of the sin of his youth|strong="H5934", which shall lie down|strong="H7901" with him in the dust|strong="H6083".

Though wickedness|strong="H7451" be sweet|strong="H4985" in his mouth|strong="H6310", though he hide|strong="H3582" it under his tongue|strong="H3956";

Though he spare|strong="H2550" it, and forsake|strong="H5800" it not; but keep it still|strong="H4513" within|strong="H8432" his mouth|strong="H2441":

Yet his meat|strong="H3899" in his bowels|strong="H4578" is turned|strong="H2015", it is the gall|strong="H4846" of asps|strong="H6620" within|strong="H7130" him.

He hath swallowed down|strong="H1104" riches|strong="H2428", and he shall vomit them up again|strong="H6958": God|strong="H0410" shall cast them out|strong="H3423" of his belly|strong="H0990".

He shall suck|strong="H3243" the poison|strong="H7219" of asps|strong="H6620": the viper’s|strong="H0660" tongue|strong="H3956" shall slay|strong="H2026" him.

He shall not see|strong="H7200" the rivers|strong="H6390", the floods|strong="H5104", the brooks|strong="H5158" of honey|strong="H1706" and butter|strong="H2529".

That which he laboured|strong="H3022" for shall he restore|strong="H7725", and shall not swallow it down|strong="H1104": according to his substance|strong="H2428" shall the restitution|strong="H8545" be, and he shall not rejoice|strong="H5965" therein.

Because he hath oppressed|strong="H7533" and hath forsaken|strong="H5800" the poor|strong="H1800"; because he hath violently taken away|strong="H1497" an house|strong="H1004" which he builded|strong="H1129" not;

Surely he shall not feel|strong="H3045" quietness|strong="H7961" in his belly|strong="H0990", he shall not save|strong="H4422" of that which he desired|strong="H2530".

There shall none of his meat|strong="H0400" be left|strong="H8300"; therefore shall no man look|strong="H2342" for his goods|strong="H2898".

In the fulness|strong="H4390" of his sufficiency|strong="H5607" he shall be in straits|strong="H3334": every hand|strong="H3027" of the wicked|strong="H6001" shall come|strong="H0935" upon him.

When he is about to fill|strong="H4390" his belly|strong="H0990", God shall cast|strong="H7971" the fury|strong="H2740" of his wrath|strong="H0639" upon him, and shall rain|strong="H4305" it upon him while he is eating|strong="H3894".

He shall flee|strong="H1272" from the iron|strong="H1270" weapon|strong="H5402", and the bow|strong="H7198" of steel|strong="H5154" shall strike him through|strong="H2498".

It is drawn|strong="H8025", and cometh out|strong="H3318" of the body|strong="H1465"; yea, the glittering sword|strong="H1300" cometh out|strong="H1980" of his gall|strong="H4846": terrors|strong="H0367" are upon him.

All darkness|strong="H2822" shall be hid|strong="H2934" in his secret places|strong="H6845": a fire|strong="H0784" not blown|strong="H5301" shall consume|strong="H0398" him; it shall go ill|strong="H3415" with him that is left|strong="H8300" in his tabernacle|strong="H0168".

The heaven|strong="H8064" shall reveal|strong="H1540" his iniquity|strong="H5771"; and the earth|strong="H0776" shall rise up|strong="H6965" against him.

The increase|strong="H2981" of his house|strong="H1004" shall depart|strong="H1540", and his goods shall flow away|strong="H5064" in the day|strong="H3117" of his wrath|strong="H0639".

This is the portion|strong="H2506" of a wicked|strong="H7563" man|strong="H0120" from God|strong="H0430", and the heritage|strong="H5159" appointed|strong="H0561" unto him by God|strong="H0410".
