1 Thus saith|strong="H0559" the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w*, Where is the bill|strong="H5612" of your mother’s|strong="H0517" divorcement|strong="H3748", whom I have put away|strong="H7971"? or which of my creditors|strong="H5383" is it to whom I have sold|strong="H4376" you? Behold, for your iniquities|strong="H5771" have ye sold|strong="H4376" yourselves, and for your transgressions|strong="H6588" is your mother|strong="H0517" put away|strong="H7971".
1 O Senhor Deus diz ao seu povo: “Será que vocês acham que eu os mandei embora como um homem manda embora a sua mulher ? Então onde está o documento de divórcio? Ou acham que eu os vendi como escravos a fim de pagar as minhas dívidas? Não! Vocês foram levados prisioneiros por causa dos seus pecados; eu os mandei embora por causa das suas maldades.
2 Wherefore, when I came|strong="H0935", was there no man|strong="H0376"? when I called|strong="H7121", was there none to answer|strong="H6030"? Is my hand|strong="H3027" shortened|strong="H7114" at all|strong="H7114", that it cannot redeem|strong="H6304"? or have I no power|strong="H3581" to deliver|strong="H5337"? behold, at my rebuke|strong="H1606" I dry up|strong="H2717" the sea|strong="H3220", I make|strong="H7760" the rivers|strong="H5104" a wilderness|strong="H4057": their fish|strong="H1710" stinketh|strong="H0887", because there is no water|strong="H4325", and dieth|strong="H4191" for thirst|strong="H6772".
2 Por que é que ninguém foi me encontrar quando eu vim salvá-los? Por que ninguém respondeu quando eu chamei? Será que agora não tenho poder para salvá-los? Será que já perdi toda a minha força? Não! 9 O Senhor Deus é quem me defende, e por isso ninguém poderá me condenar. Todos os meus inimigos desaparecerão; serão como um vestido que as traças destruíram.
10 Who is among you that feareth|strong="H3373" the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w*, that obeyeth|strong="H8085" the voice|strong="H6963" of his servant|strong="H5650", that walketh|strong="H1980" in darkness|strong="H2825", and hath no light|strong="H5051"? let him trust|strong="H0982" in the name|strong="H8034" of the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w*, and stay|strong="H8172" upon his God|strong="H0430".
10 Escutem, vocês que temem o Senhor e obedecem às ordens do seu se o caminho em que andam é escuro, sem nenhum raio de luz, confiem no ponham a sua esperança no seu Deus.
11 Behold, all ye that kindle|strong="H6919" a fire|strong="H0784", that compass yourselves about|strong="H0247" with sparks|strong="H2131": walk|strong="H3212" in the light|strong="H0217" of your fire|strong="H0784", and in the sparks|strong="H2131" that ye have kindled|strong="H1197". This shall ye have of mine hand|strong="H3027"; ye shall lie down|strong="H7901" in sorrow|strong="H4620".
11 Mas vocês que acendem uma fogueira e se armam com flechas incendiárias, todos vocês cairão no fogo que acenderam e serão mortos pelas suas próprias flechas. O um sofrimento horrível os espera.
