Behold, for your iniquities|strong="H5771" have ye sold|strong="H4376" yourselves, and for your transgressions|strong="H6588" is your mother|strong="H0517" put away|strong="H7971".
2 Wherefore, when I came|strong="H0935", was there no man|strong="H0376"? when I called|strong="H7121", was there none to answer|strong="H6030"? Is my hand|strong="H3027" shortened|strong="H7114" at all|strong="H7114", that it cannot redeem|strong="H6304"? or have I no power|strong="H3581" to deliver|strong="H5337"? behold, at my rebuke|strong="H1606" I dry up|strong="H2717" the sea|strong="H3220", I make|strong="H7760" the rivers|strong="H5104" a wilderness|strong="H4057": their fish|strong="H1710" stinketh|strong="H0887", because there is no water|strong="H4325", and dieth|strong="H4191" for thirst|strong="H6772".
3 I clothe|strong="H3847" the heavens|strong="H8064" with blackness|strong="H6940", and I make|strong="H7760" sackcloth|strong="H8242" their covering|strong="H3682".
4 The Lord|strong="H0136" \+w GOD|strong="H3069"\+w* hath given|strong="H5414" me the tongue|strong="H3956" of the learned|strong="H3928", that I should know|strong="H3045" how to speak|strong="H5790" a word|strong="H1697" in season to him that is weary|strong="H3287": he wakeneth|strong="H5782" morning|strong="H1242" by morning|strong="H1242", he wakeneth|strong="H5782" mine ear|strong="H0241" to hear|strong="H8085" as the learned|strong="H3928".
5 The Lord|strong="H0136" \+w GOD|strong="H3069"\+w* hath opened|strong="H6605" mine ear|strong="H0241", and I was not rebellious|strong="H4784", neither turned away|strong="H5472" back|strong="H0268".
6 I gave|strong="H5414" my back|strong="H1460" to the smiters|strong="H5221", and my cheeks|strong="H3895" to them that plucked off|strong="H4803" the hair: I hid|strong="H5641" not my face|strong="H6440" from shame|strong="H3639" and spitting|strong="H7536".
7 For the Lord|strong="H0136" \+w GOD|strong="H3069"\+w* will help|strong="H5826" me; therefore shall I not be confounded|strong="H3637": therefore have I set|strong="H7760" my face|strong="H6440" like a flint|strong="H2496", and I know|strong="H3045" that I shall not be ashamed|strong="H0954".
8 He is near|strong="H7138" that justifieth|strong="H6663" me; who will contend|strong="H7378" with me? let us stand|strong="H5975" together|strong="H3162": who is mine adversary|strong="H1167"? let him come near|strong="H5066" to me.
9 Behold, the Lord|strong="H0136" \+w GOD|strong="H3069"\+w* will help|strong="H5826" me; who is he that shall condemn|strong="H7561" me? lo, they all shall wax old|strong="H1086" as a garment|strong="H0899"; the moth|strong="H6211" shall eat them up|strong="H0398".
10 Who is among you that feareth|strong="H3373" the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w*, that obeyeth|strong="H8085" the voice|strong="H6963" of his servant|strong="H5650", that walketh|strong="H1980" in darkness|strong="H2825", and hath no light|strong="H5051"? let him trust|strong="H0982" in the name|strong="H8034" of the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w*, and stay|strong="H8172" upon his God|strong="H0430".
11 Behold, all ye that kindle|strong="H6919" a fire|strong="H0784", that compass yourselves about|strong="H0247" with sparks|strong="H2131": walk|strong="H3212" in the light|strong="H0217" of your fire|strong="H0784", and in the sparks|strong="H2131" that ye have kindled|strong="H1197". This shall ye have of mine hand|strong="H3027"; ye shall lie down|strong="H7901" in sorrow|strong="H4620".
