2 Lift ye up|strong="H5375" a banner|strong="H5251" upon the high|strong="H8192" mountain|strong="H2022", exalt|strong="H7311" the voice|strong="H6963" unto them, shake|strong="H5130" the hand|strong="H3027", that they may go|strong="H0935" into the gates|strong="H6607" of the nobles|strong="H5081".

5 They come|strong="H0935" from a far|strong="H4801" country|strong="H0776", from the end|strong="H7097" of heaven|strong="H8064", even the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w*, and the weapons|strong="H3627" of his indignation|strong="H2195", to destroy|strong="H2254" the whole land|strong="H0776".
5 As tropas vêm da Pérsia, um país distante, vêm lá do fim do mundo. Na sua ira, o vai usá-las para destruir a Babilônia inteira.
6 Howl|strong="H3213" ye; for the day|strong="H3117" of the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* is at hand|strong="H7138"; it shall come|strong="H0935" as a destruction|strong="H7701" from the Almighty|strong="H7706".

7 Therefore shall all hands|strong="H3027" be faint|strong="H7503", and every man’s|strong="H0582" heart|strong="H3824" shall melt|strong="H4549":
7 Os braços de todos ficarão sem força, e de medo os corações deles baterão mais rápido,
8 And they shall be afraid|strong="H0926": pangs|strong="H6735" and sorrows|strong="H2256" shall take hold|strong="H0270" of them; they shall be in pain|strong="H2342" as a woman that travaileth|strong="H3205": they shall be amazed|strong="H8539" one|strong="H0376" at another|strong="H7453"; their faces|strong="H6440" shall be as flames|strong="H3851".
8 pois o pavor tomará conta deles. Sofrerão e chorarão como uma mulher com dores de parto, se torcerão como uma mulher que está dando à luz. Olharão uns para os outros, cheios de medo, e os rostos deles ficarão vermelhos de vergonha.
9 Behold, the day|strong="H3117" of the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* cometh|strong="H0935", cruel|strong="H0394" both with wrath|strong="H5678" and fierce|strong="H2740" anger|strong="H0639", to lay|strong="H7760" the land|strong="H0776" desolate|strong="H8047": and he shall destroy|strong="H8045" the sinners|strong="H2400" thereof out of it.
9 Está chegando o Dia do Senhor , dia terrível da sua ira violenta e furiosa. A terra será arrasada, e os pecadores serão mortos.
10 For the stars|strong="H3556" of heaven|strong="H8064" and the constellations|strong="H3685" thereof shall not give|strong="H1984" their light|strong="H0216": the sun|strong="H8121" shall be darkened|strong="H2821" in his going forth|strong="H3318", and the moon|strong="H3394" shall not cause her light|strong="H0216" to shine|strong="H5050".
10 Todas as estrelas deixarão de brilhar; logo ao nascer, o sol ficará escuro, e a lua também não brilhará mais.
11 And I will punish|strong="H6485" the world|strong="H8398" for their evil|strong="H7451", and the wicked|strong="H7563" for their iniquity|strong="H5771"; and I will cause the arrogancy|strong="H1347" of the proud|strong="H2086" to cease|strong="H7673", and will lay low|strong="H8213" the haughtiness|strong="H1346" of the terrible|strong="H6184".
11 O Senhor Deus diz: “Eu vou castigar o mundo por causa das suas maldades; vou castigar as pessoas perversas por causa dos seus pecados. Acabarei com o orgulho dos vaidosos e humilharei as pessoas violentas.
12 I will make a man|strong="H0582" more precious|strong="H3365" than fine gold|strong="H6337"; even a man|strong="H0120" than the golden wedge|strong="H3800" of Ophir|strong="H0211".
12 Quando eu acabar de castigá-los, as pessoas que ficarem vivas serão mais raras do que o ouro, do que o ouro puro de Ofir.
13 Therefore I will shake|strong="H7264" the heavens|strong="H8064", and the earth|strong="H0776" shall remove|strong="H7493" out of her place|strong="H4725", in the wrath|strong="H5678" of the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* of hosts|strong="H6635", and in the day|strong="H3117" of his fierce|strong="H2740" anger|strong="H0639".
13 No dia em que eu, o Senhor Todo-Poderoso, mostrar a minha ira e o meu furor, farei com que os céus tremam e com que a terra saia do seu lugar.
14 And it shall be as the chased|strong="H5080" roe|strong="H6643", and as a sheep|strong="H6629" that no man taketh up|strong="H6908": they shall every man|strong="H0376" turn|strong="H6437" to his own people|strong="H5971", and flee|strong="H5127" every one|strong="H0376" into his own land|strong="H0776".
14 “Os estrangeiros que moram na Babilônia fugirão e voltarão para os seus próprios países. Serão como como ovelhas que não têm pastor.
15 Every one that is found|strong="H4672" shall be thrust through|strong="H1856"; and every one that is joined|strong="H5595" unto them shall fall|strong="H5307" by the sword|strong="H2719".
15 Os que forem alcançados e forem presos serão mortos à espada.
16 Their children|strong="H5768" also shall be dashed to pieces|strong="H7376" before their eyes|strong="H5869"; their houses|strong="H1004" shall be spoiled|strong="H8155", and their wives|strong="H0802" ravished|strong="H7901".
16 Diante dos seus próprios olhos, os seus filhos serão esmagados, as suas casas serão assaltadas, e as suas mulheres, violentadas.
17 Behold, I will stir up|strong="H5782" the Medes|strong="H4074" against them, which shall not regard|strong="H2803" silver|strong="H3701"; and as for gold|strong="H2091", they shall not delight|strong="H2654" in it.
17 “Contra os babilônios vou atiçar os medos , um povo que não faz caso de prata nem de ouro.
18 Their bows|strong="H7198" also shall dash|strong="H7376" the young men|strong="H5288" to pieces|strong="H7376"; and they shall have no pity|strong="H7355" on the fruit|strong="H6529" of the womb|strong="H0990"; their eye|strong="H5869" shall not spare|strong="H2347" children|strong="H1121".
18 Com as suas flechas, eles matarão os jovens; matarão crianças e bebês sem dó nem piedade.
19 And Babylon|strong="H0894", the glory|strong="H6643" of kingdoms|strong="H4467", the beauty|strong="H8597" of the Chaldees’|strong="H3778" excellency|strong="H1347", shall be as when God|strong="H0430" overthrew|strong="H4114" Sodom|strong="H5467" and Gomorrah|strong="H6017".
19 Babilônia é a glória e o orgulho do seu povo, a mais bela cidade de todos os reinos; mas ela vai ficar como Sodoma e Gomorra quando eu as destruí.
20 It shall never|strong="H5331" be inhabited|strong="H3427", neither shall it be dwelt|strong="H7931" in from generation|strong="H1755" to generation|strong="H1755": neither shall the Arabian|strong="H6163" pitch tent|strong="H0167" there; neither shall the shepherds|strong="H7462" make their fold|strong="H7257" there.
20 Babilônia ficará completamente vazia, e nunca mais ninguém morará ali. Os viajantes árabes não armarão ali as suas barracas, e nenhum pastor levará as suas ovelhas para pastarem lá.
21 But wild beasts of the desert|strong="H6728" shall lie|strong="H7257" there; and their houses|strong="H1004" shall be full|strong="H4390" of doleful creatures|strong="H0255"; and owls|strong="H1323" shall dwell|strong="H7931" there, and satyrs|strong="H8163" shall dance|strong="H7540" there.
21 Os animais do deserto viverão na cidade, e as casas ficarão cheias de corujas; avestruzes morarão ali, e cabras selvagens saltarão entre as ruínas.
22 And the wild beasts of the islands|strong="H0338" shall cry|strong="H6030" in their desolate houses|strong="H0490", and dragons|strong="H8577" in their pleasant|strong="H6027" palaces|strong="H1964": and her time|strong="H6256" is near|strong="H7138" to come|strong="H0935", and her days|strong="H3117" shall not be prolonged|strong="H4900".
22 Nas torres e nos palácios, uivarão as hienas e as raposas. Está chegando a hora da Babilônia; os seus dias já estão contados.”
