I will stand|strong="H5975" upon my watch|strong="H4931", and set|strong="H3320" me upon the tower|strong="H4692", and will watch|strong="H6822" to see|strong="H7200" what he will say|strong="H1696" unto me, and what I shall answer|strong="H7725" when I am reproved|strong="H8433".
And the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* answered|strong="H6030" me, and said|strong="H0559", Write|strong="H3789" the vision|strong="H2377", and make it plain|strong="H0874" upon tables|strong="H3871", that he may run|strong="H7323" that readeth|strong="H7121" it.
For the vision|strong="H2377" is yet for an appointed time|strong="H4150", but at the end|strong="H7093" it shall speak|strong="H6315", and not lie|strong="H3576": though it tarry|strong="H4102", wait|strong="H2442" for it; because it will surely|strong="H0935" come|strong="H0935", it will not tarry|strong="H0309".
Behold, his soul|strong="H5315" which is lifted up|strong="H6075" is not upright|strong="H3474" in him: but the just|strong="H6662" shall live|strong="H2421" by his faith|strong="H0530".
Yea also, because he transgresseth|strong="H0898" by wine|strong="H3196", he is a proud|strong="H3093" man|strong="H1397", neither keepeth at home|strong="H5115", who enlargeth|strong="H7337" his desire|strong="H5315" as hell|strong="H7585", and is as death|strong="H4194", and cannot be satisfied|strong="H7646", but gathereth|strong="H0622" unto him all nations|strong="H1471", and heapeth|strong="H6908" unto him all people|strong="H5971":
Shall not all these take up|strong="H5375" a parable|strong="H4912" against him, and a taunting|strong="H4426" proverb|strong="H2420" against him, and say|strong="H0559", Woe|strong="H1945" to him that increaseth|strong="H7235" that which is not his! how long? and to him that ladeth|strong="H3513" himself with thick clay|strong="H5671"!
Shall they not rise up|strong="H6965" suddenly|strong="H6621" that shall bite|strong="H5391" thee, and awake|strong="H3364" that shall vex|strong="H2111" thee, and thou shalt be for booties|strong="H4933" unto them?
Because thou hast spoiled|strong="H7997" many|strong="H7227" nations|strong="H1471", all the remnant|strong="H3499" of the people|strong="H5971" shall spoil|strong="H7997" thee; because of men’s|strong="H0120" blood|strong="H1818", and for the violence|strong="H2555" of the land|strong="H0776", of the city|strong="H7151", and of all that dwell|strong="H3427" therein.
Woe|strong="H1945" to him that coveteth|strong="H1214" an evil|strong="H7451" covetousness|strong="H1215" to his house|strong="H1004", that he may set|strong="H7760" his nest|strong="H7064" on high|strong="H4791", that he may be delivered|strong="H5337" from the power|strong="H3709" of evil|strong="H7451"!
Thou hast consulted|strong="H3289" shame|strong="H1322" to thy house|strong="H1004" by cutting off|strong="H7096" many|strong="H7227" people|strong="H5971", and hast sinned|strong="H2398" against thy soul|strong="H5315".
For the stone|strong="H0068" shall cry out|strong="H2199" of the wall|strong="H7023", and the beam out|strong="H3714" of the timber|strong="H6086" shall answer|strong="H6030" it.
Woe|strong="H1945" to him that buildeth|strong="H1129" a town|strong="H5892" with blood|strong="H1818", and stablisheth|strong="H3559" a city|strong="H7151" by iniquity|strong="H5766"!
Behold, is it not of the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* of hosts|strong="H6635" that the people|strong="H5971" shall labour|strong="H3021" in the very|strong="H1767" fire|strong="H0784", and the people|strong="H3816" shall weary|strong="H3286" themselves for very|strong="H1767" vanity|strong="H7385"?
For the earth|strong="H0776" shall be filled|strong="H4390" with the knowledge|strong="H3045" of the glory|strong="H3519" of the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w*, as the waters|strong="H4325" cover|strong="H3680" the sea|strong="H3220".
Woe|strong="H1945" unto him that giveth his neighbour|strong="H7453" drink|strong="H8248", that puttest|strong="H5596" thy bottle|strong="H2573" to him, and makest him drunken|strong="H7937" also, that thou mayest look|strong="H5027" on their nakedness|strong="H4589"!
Thou art filled|strong="H7646" with shame|strong="H7036" for glory|strong="H3519": drink|strong="H8354" thou also, and let thy foreskin be uncovered|strong="H6188": the cup|strong="H3563" of the \+w LORD’s|strong="H3068"\+w* right hand|strong="H3225" shall be turned|strong="H5437" unto thee, and shameful spewing|strong="H7022" shall be on thy glory|strong="H3519".
For the violence|strong="H2555" of Lebanon|strong="H3844" shall cover|strong="H3680" thee, and the spoil|strong="H7701" of beasts|strong="H0929", which made them afraid|strong="H2865", because of men’s|strong="H0120" blood|strong="H1818", and for the violence|strong="H2555" of the land|strong="H0776", of the city|strong="H7151", and of all that dwell|strong="H3427" therein.
What profiteth|strong="H3276" the graven image|strong="H6459" that the maker|strong="H3335" thereof hath graven|strong="H6458" it; the molten image|strong="H4541", and a teacher|strong="H3384" of lies|strong="H8267", that the maker|strong="H3335" of his work|strong="H3336" trusteth|strong="H0982" therein, to make|strong="H6213" dumb|strong="H0483" idols|strong="H0457"?
Woe|strong="H1945" unto him that saith|strong="H0559" to the wood|strong="H6086", Awake|strong="H6974"; to the dumb|strong="H1748" stone|strong="H0068", Arise|strong="H5782", it shall teach|strong="H3384"! Behold, it is laid|strong="H8610" over with gold|strong="H2091" and silver|strong="H3701", and there is no breath|strong="H7307" at all in the midst|strong="H7130" of it.
But the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* is in his holy|strong="H6944" temple|strong="H1964": let all the earth|strong="H0776" keep silence|strong="H2013" before|strong="H6440" him.
