8 For|strong="G1063" God|strong="G2316" is|strong="G2076" my|strong="G3450" record|strong="G3144", how greatly|strong="G5613" I long|strong="G1971" after you|strong="G5209" all|strong="G3956" in|strong="G1722" the bowels|strong="G4698" of Jesus|strong="G2424" Christ|strong="G5547".
9 And|strong="G2532" this|strong="G5124" I pray|strong="G4336", that|strong="G2443" your|strong="G5216" love|strong="G0026" may abound|strong="G4052" yet|strong="G2089" more|strong="G3123" and|strong="G2532" more|strong="G3123" in|strong="G1722" knowledge|strong="G1922" and|strong="G2532" in all|strong="G3956" judgment|strong="G0144";

11 Being filled|strong="G4137" with the fruits|strong="G2590" of righteousness|strong="G1343", which are|strong="G3588" by|strong="G1223" Jesus|strong="G2424" Christ|strong="G5547", unto|strong="G1519" the glory|strong="G1391" and|strong="G2532" praise|strong="G1868" of God|strong="G2316".
12 But|strong="G1161" I would|strong="G1014" ye|strong="G5209" should understand|strong="G1097", brethren|strong="G0080", that|strong="G3754" the things|strong="G3588" which happened unto|strong="G2596" me|strong="G1691" have fallen out|strong="G2064" rather|strong="G3123" unto|strong="G1519" the furtherance|strong="G4297" of the gospel|strong="G2098";
13 So that|strong="G5620" my|strong="G3450" bonds|strong="G1199" in|strong="G1722" Christ|strong="G5547" are|strong="G1096" manifest|strong="G5318" in|strong="G1722" all|strong="G3650" the palace|strong="G4232", and|strong="G2532" in|strong="G3062" all|strong="G3956" other|strong="G3062" places;
14 And|strong="G2532" many|strong="G4119" of the brethren|strong="G0080" in|strong="G1722" the Lord|strong="G2962", waxing confident|strong="G3982" by|strong="G1199" my|strong="G3450" bonds|strong="G1199", are|strong="G5111" much more|strong="G4056" bold|strong="G5111" to speak|strong="G2980" the word|strong="G3056" without fear|strong="G0870".
15 Some|strong="G5100" indeed|strong="G3303" preach|strong="G2784" Christ|strong="G5547" even|strong="G2532" of|strong="G1223" envy|strong="G5355" and|strong="G2532" strife|strong="G2054"; and|strong="G1161" some|strong="G5100" also|strong="G2532" of|strong="G1223" good will|strong="G2107":
16 The one|strong="G3588" preach|strong="G2605" Christ|strong="G5547" of|strong="G1537" contention|strong="G2052", not|strong="G3756" sincerely|strong="G0055", supposing|strong="G3633" to add|strong="G2018" affliction|strong="G2347" to|strong="G1199" my|strong="G3450" bonds|strong="G1199":
17 But|strong="G1161" the other|strong="G3588" of|strong="G1537" love|strong="G0026", knowing|strong="G1492" that|strong="G3754" I am set|strong="G2749" for|strong="G1519" the defence|strong="G0627" of the gospel|strong="G2098".
18 What|strong="G5101" then|strong="G1063"? notwithstanding|strong="G4133", every|strong="G3956" way|strong="G5158", whether|strong="G1535" in pretence|strong="G4392", or|strong="G1535" in truth|strong="G0225", Christ|strong="G5547" is preached|strong="G2605"; and|strong="G2532" I|strong="G5463" there|strong="G5129"in|strong="G1722" do rejoice|strong="G5463", yea|strong="G0235", and|strong="G2532" will rejoice|strong="G5463".
19 For|strong="G1063" I know|strong="G1492" that|strong="G3754" this|strong="G5124" shall turn|strong="G0576" to|strong="G1519" my|strong="G3427" salvation|strong="G4991" through|strong="G1223" your|strong="G5216" prayer|strong="G1162", and|strong="G2532" the supply|strong="G2024" of the Spirit|strong="G4151" of Jesus|strong="G2424" Christ|strong="G5547",
20 According to|strong="G2596" my|strong="G3450" earnest expectation|strong="G0603" and|strong="G2532" my hope|strong="G1680", that|strong="G3754" in|strong="G1722" nothing|strong="G3762" I shall be ashamed|strong="G0153", but|strong="G0235" that with|strong="G1722" all|strong="G3956" boldness|strong="G3954", as|strong="G5613" always|strong="G3842", so now|strong="G3568" also|strong="G2532" Christ|strong="G5547" shall be magnified|strong="G3170" in|strong="G1722" my|strong="G3450" body|strong="G4983", whether|strong="G1535" it be by|strong="G1223" life|strong="G2222", or|strong="G1535" by|strong="G1223" death|strong="G2288".
21 For|strong="G1063" to me|strong="G1698" to live|strong="G2198" is Christ|strong="G5547", and|strong="G2532" to die|strong="G0599" is gain|strong="G2771".
22 But|strong="G1161" if|strong="G1487" I live|strong="G2198" in|strong="G1722" the flesh|strong="G4561", this|strong="G5124" is the fruit|strong="G2590" of|strong="G2041" my|strong="G3427" labour|strong="G2041": yet|strong="G2532" what|strong="G5101" I shall choose|strong="G0138" I wot|strong="G1107" not|strong="G3756".
23 For|strong="G1063" I am in a strait|strong="G4912" betwixt|strong="G1537" two|strong="G1417", having|strong="G2192" a desire|strong="G1939" to|strong="G1519" depart|strong="G0360", and|strong="G2532" to be|strong="G1511" with|strong="G4862" Christ|strong="G5547"; which is|strong="G4183" far|strong="G3123" better|strong="G2908":
24 Nevertheless|strong="G1161" to abide|strong="G1961" in|strong="G1722" the flesh|strong="G4561" is more needful|strong="G0316" for|strong="G1223" you|strong="G5209".
25 And|strong="G2532" having|strong="G3982" this|strong="G5124" confidence|strong="G3982", I know|strong="G1492" that|strong="G3754" I shall abide|strong="G3306" and|strong="G2532" continue with|strong="G4839" you|strong="G5213" all|strong="G3956" for|strong="G1519" your|strong="G5216" furtherance|strong="G4297" and|strong="G2532" joy|strong="G5479" of faith|strong="G4102";
26 That|strong="G2443" your|strong="G5216" rejoicing|strong="G2745" may be more abundant|strong="G4052" in|strong="G1722" Jesus|strong="G2424" Christ|strong="G5547" for|strong="G1722" me|strong="G1698" by|strong="G1223" my|strong="G1699" coming|strong="G3952" to|strong="G4314" you|strong="G5209" again|strong="G3825".
27 Only|strong="G3440" let your conversation be|strong="G4176" as it becometh|strong="G0516" the gospel|strong="G2098" of Christ|strong="G5547": that|strong="G2443" whether|strong="G1535" I come|strong="G2064" and|strong="G2532" see|strong="G1492" you|strong="G5209", or else|strong="G1535" be absent|strong="G0548", I may hear|strong="G0191" of your|strong="G5216" affairs|strong="G4012", that|strong="G3754" ye stand fast|strong="G4739" in|strong="G1722" one|strong="G1520" spirit|strong="G4151", with|strong="G5590" one|strong="G1520" mind|strong="G5590" striving together|strong="G4866" for the faith|strong="G4102" of the gospel|strong="G2098";
28 And|strong="G2532" in|strong="G1722" nothing|strong="G3367" terrified|strong="G4426" by|strong="G5259" your adversaries|strong="G0480": which|strong="G3748" is|strong="G2076" to them|strong="G0846" an evident token|strong="G1732" of perdition|strong="G0684", but|strong="G1161" to you|strong="G5213" of salvation|strong="G4991", and|strong="G2532" that|strong="G5124" of|strong="G0575" God|strong="G2316".
29 For|strong="G3754" unto you|strong="G5213" it is given|strong="G5483" in the behalf|strong="G5228" of Christ|strong="G5547", not|strong="G3756" only|strong="G3440" to believe|strong="G4100" on|strong="G1519" him|strong="G0846", but|strong="G0235" also|strong="G2532" to suffer|strong="G3958" for|strong="G5228" his|strong="G0846" sake|strong="G5228";
30 Having|strong="G2192" the|strong="G0073" same|strong="G0846" conflict|strong="G0073" which|strong="G3634" ye saw|strong="G1492" in|strong="G1722" me|strong="G1698", and|strong="G2532" now|strong="G3568" hear|strong="G0191" to be in|strong="G1722" me|strong="G1698".
