2 Crônicas 15

King James (Authorized) Version (ENG-KJV2006)

1 And the Spirit|strong="H7307" of God|strong="H0430" came upon Azariah|strong="H5838" the son|strong="H1121" of Oded|strong="H5752":

2 And he went out|strong="H3318" to meet|strong="H6440" Asa|strong="H0609", and said|strong="H0559" unto him, Hear|strong="H8085" ye me, Asa|strong="H0609", and all Judah|strong="H3063" and Benjamin|strong="H1144"; The \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* is with you, while ye be with him; and if ye seek|strong="H1875" him, he will be found|strong="H4672" of you; but if ye forsake|strong="H5800" him, he will forsake|strong="H5800" you.

3 Now for a long|strong="H7227" season|strong="H3117" Israel|strong="H3478" hath been without|strong="H3808" the true|strong="H0571" God|strong="H0430", and without a teaching|strong="H3384" priest|strong="H3548", and without law|strong="H8451".

4 But when they in their trouble|strong="H6862" did turn|strong="H7725" unto the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* God|strong="H0430" of Israel|strong="H3478", and sought|strong="H1245" him, he was found|strong="H4672" of them.

5 And in those times|strong="H6256" there was no peace|strong="H7965" to him that went out|strong="H3318", nor to him that came in|strong="H0935", but great|strong="H7227" vexations|strong="H4103" were upon all the inhabitants|strong="H3427" of the countries|strong="H0776".

6 And nation|strong="H1471" was destroyed|strong="H3807" of nation|strong="H1471", and city|strong="H5892" of city|strong="H5892": for God|strong="H0430" did vex|strong="H2000" them with all adversity|strong="H6869".

7 Be ye strong|strong="H2388" therefore, and let not your hands|strong="H3027" be weak|strong="H7503": for your work|strong="H6468" shall be|strong="H3426" rewarded|strong="H7939".

8 And when Asa|strong="H0609" heard|strong="H8085" these words|strong="H1697", and the prophecy|strong="H5016" of Oded|strong="H5752" the prophet|strong="H5030", he took courage|strong="H2388", and put away|strong="H5674" the abominable idols|strong="H8251" out of all the land|strong="H0776" of Judah|strong="H3063" and Benjamin|strong="H1144", and out of the cities|strong="H5892" which he had taken|strong="H3920" from mount|strong="H2022" Ephraim|strong="H0669", and renewed|strong="H2318" the altar|strong="H4196" of the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w*, that was before|strong="H6440" the porch|strong="H0197" of the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w*.

9 And he gathered|strong="H6908" all Judah|strong="H3063" and Benjamin|strong="H1144", and the strangers|strong="H1481" with them out of Ephraim|strong="H0669" and Manasseh|strong="H4519", and out of Simeon|strong="H8095": for they fell|strong="H5307" to him out of Israel|strong="H3478" in abundance|strong="H7230", when they saw|strong="H7200" that the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* his God|strong="H0430" was with him.

10 So they gathered themselves together|strong="H6908" at Jerusalem|strong="H3389" in the third|strong="H7992" month|strong="H2320", in the fifteenth|strong="H2568" year|strong="H8141" of the reign|strong="H4438" of Asa|strong="H0609".

11 And they offered|strong="H2076" unto the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* the same time|strong="H3117", of the spoil|strong="H7998" which they had brought|strong="H0935", seven|strong="H7651" hundred|strong="H3967" oxen|strong="H1241" and seven|strong="H7651" thousand|strong="H0505" sheep|strong="H6629".

12 And they entered|strong="H0935" into a covenant|strong="H1285" to seek|strong="H1875" the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* God|strong="H0430" of their fathers|strong="H0001" with all their heart|strong="H3824" and with all their soul|strong="H5315";

13 That whosoever would not seek|strong="H1875" the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* God|strong="H0430" of Israel|strong="H3478" should be put to death|strong="H4191", whether|strong="H4480" small|strong="H6996" or great|strong="H1419", whether man|strong="H0376" or woman|strong="H0802".

14 And they sware|strong="H7650" unto the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* with a loud|strong="H1419" voice|strong="H6963", and with shouting|strong="H8643", and with trumpets|strong="H2689", and with cornets|strong="H7782".

15 And all Judah|strong="H3063" rejoiced|strong="H8055" at the oath|strong="H7621": for they had sworn|strong="H7650" with all their heart|strong="H3824", and sought|strong="H1245" him with their whole desire|strong="H7522"; and he was found|strong="H4672" of them: and the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* gave them rest|strong="H5117" round about|strong="H5439".

16 And also concerning Maachah|strong="H4601" the mother|strong="H0517" of Asa|strong="H0609" the king|strong="H4428", he removed|strong="H5493" her from being queen|strong="H1377", because she had made|strong="H6213" an idol|strong="H4656" in a grove|strong="H0842": and Asa|strong="H0609" cut down|strong="H3772" her idol|strong="H4656", and stamped|strong="H1854" it, and burnt|strong="H8313" it at the brook|strong="H5158" Kidron|strong="H6939".

17 But the high places|strong="H1116" were not taken away|strong="H5493" out of Israel|strong="H3478": nevertheless the heart|strong="H3824" of Asa|strong="H0609" was perfect|strong="H8003" all his days|strong="H3117".

18 And he brought|strong="H0935" into the house|strong="H1004" of God|strong="H0430" the things that his father|strong="H0001" had dedicated|strong="H6944", and that he himself had dedicated|strong="H6944", silver|strong="H3701", and gold|strong="H2091", and vessels|strong="H3627".

19 And there was no more war|strong="H4421" unto the five|strong="H2568" and thirtieth|strong="H7970" year|strong="H8141" of the reign|strong="H4438" of Asa|strong="H0609".
