1 And when Rehoboam|strong="H7346" was come|strong="H0935" to Jerusalem|strong="H3389", he gathered|strong="H6950" of the house|strong="H1004" of Judah|strong="H3063" and Benjamin|strong="H1144" an hundred|strong="H3967" and fourscore|strong="H8084" thousand|strong="H0505" chosen|strong="H0977" men, which were warriors|strong="H6213", to fight|strong="H3898" against Israel|strong="H3478", that he might bring|strong="H7725" the kingdom|strong="H4467" again|strong="H7725" to Rehoboam|strong="H7346".
1 Tendo Roboão chegado a Jerusalém, convocou da casa de Judá e Benjamim cento e oitenta mil escolhidos, destros na guerra, para pelejarem contra Israel a fim de restituírem o reino a Roboão.
2 But the word|strong="H1697" of the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* came to Shemaiah|strong="H8098" the man|strong="H0376" of God|strong="H0430", saying|strong="H0559",
2 Veio, porém, a palavra do Senhor a Semaías, homem de Deus, dizendo:
3 Speak|strong="H0559" unto Rehoboam|strong="H7346" the son|strong="H1121" of Solomon|strong="H8010", king|strong="H4428" of Judah|strong="H3063", and to all Israel|strong="H3478" in Judah|strong="H3063" and Benjamin|strong="H1144", saying|strong="H0559",
3 Fala a Roboão, filho de Salomão, rei de Judá, e a todo o Israel em Judá e Benjamim, dizendo:
4 Thus saith|strong="H0559" the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w*, Ye shall not go up|strong="H5927", nor fight|strong="H3898" against your brethren|strong="H0251": return|strong="H7725" every man|strong="H0376" to his house|strong="H1004": for this thing|strong="H1697" is done|strong="H1961" of me. And they obeyed|strong="H8085" the words|strong="H1697" of the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w*, and returned|strong="H7725" from going|strong="H3212" against Jeroboam|strong="H3379".
4 Assim diz o Senhor: Não subireis, nem pelejareis contra os vossos irmãos; volte cada um à sua casa, porque de mim proveio isto. Ouviram, pois, a palavra do Senhor, e desistiram de ir contra Jeroboão.
5 And Rehoboam|strong="H7346" dwelt|strong="H3427" in Jerusalem|strong="H3389", and built|strong="H1129" cities|strong="H5892" for defence|strong="H4692" in Judah|strong="H3063".
5 E Roboão habitou em Jerusalém, e edificou em Judá cidades para fortalezas.
6 He built|strong="H1129" even Beth-lehem|strong="H1035", and Etam|strong="H5862", and Tekoa|strong="H8620",
6 Edificou, pois, Belém, Etã, Tecoa,
7 And Beth-zur|strong="H1049", and Shoco|strong="H7755", and Adullam|strong="H5725",
7 Bete-Zur, Socó, Adulão,
8 And Gath|strong="H1661", and Mareshah|strong="H4762", and Ziph|strong="H2128",
8 Gate, Maressa, Zife,
9 And Adoraim|strong="H0115", and Lachish|strong="H3923", and Azekah|strong="H5825",
9 Adoraim, Laquis, Azeca,
10 And Zorah|strong="H6881", and Aijalon|strong="H0357", and Hebron|strong="H2275", which are in Judah|strong="H3063" and in Benjamin|strong="H1144" fenced|strong="H4694" cities|strong="H5892".
10 Zorá, Aijalom e Hebrom, que estão em Judá e em Benjamim, cidades fortes.
11 And he fortified|strong="H2388" the strong holds|strong="H4694", and put|strong="H5414" captains|strong="H5057" in them, and store|strong="H0214" of victual|strong="H3978", and of oil|strong="H8081" and wine|strong="H3196".
11 Fortificou estas cidades e pôs nelas capitães, e armazéns de víveres, de azeite e de vinho.
12 And in every several city|strong="H5892" he put shields|strong="H6793" and spears|strong="H7420", and made them exceeding|strong="H7235" strong|strong="H2388", having Judah|strong="H3063" and Benjamin|strong="H1144" on his side.
12 E pôs em cada cidade paveses e lanças, e fortificou-as grandemente, de sorte que reteve Judá e Benjamim.
13 And the priests|strong="H3548" and the Levites|strong="H3881" that were in all Israel|strong="H3478" resorted|strong="H3320" to him out of all their coasts|strong="H1366".
13 Também os sacerdotes e os levitas que havia em todo o Israel recorreram a ele de todos os seus termos.
14 For the Levites|strong="H3881" left|strong="H5800" their suburbs|strong="H4054" and their possession|strong="H0272", and came|strong="H3212" to Judah|strong="H3063" and Jerusalem|strong="H3389": for Jeroboam|strong="H3379" and his sons|strong="H1121" had cast them off|strong="H2186" from executing the priest’s office|strong="H3547" unto the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w*:
14 Pois os levitas deixaram os seus arrabaldes e a sua possessão, e vieram para Judá e para Jerusalém, porque Jeroboão e seus filhos os lançaram fora, para que não exercessem o ofício sacerdotal ao Senhor;
15 And he ordained|strong="H5975" him priests|strong="H3548" for the high places|strong="H1116", and for the devils|strong="H8163", and for the calves|strong="H5695" which he had made|strong="H6213".
15 e Jeroboão constituiu para si sacerdotes, para os altos, e para os demônios, e para os bezerros que fizera.
16 And after|strong="H0310" them out of all the tribes|strong="H7626" of Israel|strong="H3478" such as set|strong="H5414" their hearts|strong="H3824" to seek|strong="H1245" the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* God|strong="H0430" of Israel|strong="H3478" came|strong="H0935" to Jerusalem|strong="H3389", to sacrifice|strong="H2076" unto the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* God|strong="H0430" of their fathers|strong="H0001".
16 Além desses, de todas as tribos de Israel, os que determinaram no seu coração buscar ao Senhor Deus de Israel, também vieram a Jerusalém, para oferecerem sacrifícios ao Senhor Deus de seus pais.
17 So they strengthened|strong="H2388" the kingdom|strong="H4438" of Judah|strong="H3063", and made Rehoboam|strong="H7346" the son|strong="H1121" of Solomon|strong="H8010" strong|strong="H0553", three|strong="H7969" years|strong="H8141": for three|strong="H7969" years|strong="H8141" they walked|strong="H1980" in the way|strong="H1870" of David|strong="H1732" and Solomon|strong="H8010".
17 Assim fortaleceram o reino de Judá e corroboraram a Roboão, filho de Salomão, por três anos; porque durante três anos andaram no caminho de Davi e Salomão.
18 And Rehoboam|strong="H7346" took|strong="H3947" him Mahalath|strong="H4258" the daughter|strong="H1323" of Jerimoth|strong="H3406" the son|strong="H1121" of David|strong="H1732" to wife|strong="H0802", and Abihail|strong="H0032" the daughter|strong="H1323" of Eliab|strong="H0446" the son|strong="H1121" of Jesse|strong="H3448";
18 Roboão tomou para si, por mulher, a Maalate, filha de Jerimote, filho de Davi; e a Abiail, filha de Eliabe, filho de Jessé,
19 Which bare|strong="H3205" him children|strong="H1121"; Jeush|strong="H3266", and Shamariah|strong="H8114", and Zaham|strong="H2093".
19 a qual lhe deu os filhos Jeús, Semarias e Zaã.
20 And after|strong="H0310" her he took|strong="H3947" Maachah|strong="H4601" the daughter|strong="H1323" of Absalom|strong="H0053"; which bare|strong="H3205" him Abijah|strong="H0029", and Attai|strong="H6262", and Ziza|strong="H2124", and Shelomith|strong="H8019".
20 Depois dela tomou a Maacá, filha de Absalão; esta lhe deu Abias, Atai, Ziza e Selomite.
21 And Rehoboam|strong="H7346" loved|strong="H0157" Maachah|strong="H4601" the daughter|strong="H1323" of Absalom|strong="H0053" above all his wives|strong="H0802" and his concubines|strong="H6370": (for he took|strong="H5375" eighteen|strong="H8083" wives|strong="H0802", and threescore|strong="H8346" concubines|strong="H6370"; and begat|strong="H3205" twenty|strong="H6242" and eight|strong="H8083" sons|strong="H1121", and threescore|strong="H8346" daughters|strong="H1323".)
21 Amava Roboão a Maacá, filha de Absalão, mais do que a todas as suas outras mulheres e concubinas; pois tinha tomado dezoito mulheres e sessenta concubinas, e gerou vinte e oito filhos e sessenta filhas.
22 And Rehoboam|strong="H7346" made|strong="H5975" Abijah|strong="H0029" the son|strong="H1121" of Maachah|strong="H4601" the chief|strong="H7218", to be ruler|strong="H5057" among his brethren|strong="H0251": for he thought to make him king|strong="H4427".
22 E Roboão designou Abias, filho de Maacá, chefe e príncipe entre os seus irmãos, porque queria fazê-lo rei.
23 And he dealt wisely|strong="H0995", and dispersed|strong="H6555" of all his children|strong="H1121" throughout all the countries|strong="H0776" of Judah|strong="H3063" and Benjamin|strong="H1144", unto every fenced|strong="H4694" city|strong="H5892": and he gave|strong="H5414" them victual|strong="H4202" in abundance|strong="H7230". And he desired|strong="H7592" many|strong="H1995" wives|strong="H0802".
23 Também usou de prudência, distribuindo todos os seus filhos por entre todas as terras de Judá e Benjamim, por todas as cidades fortes; e deu-lhes víveres em abundância, e procurou para eles muitas mulheres.
