And Solomon|strong="H8010" the son|strong="H1121" of David|strong="H1732" was strengthened|strong="H2388" in his kingdom|strong="H4438", and the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* his God|strong="H0430" was with him, and magnified|strong="H1431" him exceedingly|strong="H4605".
Then Solomon|strong="H8010" spake|strong="H0559" unto all Israel|strong="H3478", to the captains|strong="H8269" of thousands|strong="H0505" and of hundreds|strong="H3967", and to the judges|strong="H8199", and to every governor|strong="H5387" in all Israel|strong="H3478", the chief|strong="H7218" of the fathers|strong="H0001".
So Solomon|strong="H8010", and all the congregation|strong="H6951" with him, went|strong="H3212" to the high place|strong="H1116" that was at Gibeon|strong="H1391"; for there was the tabernacle|strong="H0168" of the congregation|strong="H4150" of God|strong="H0430", which Moses|strong="H4872" the servant|strong="H5650" of the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* had made|strong="H6213" in the wilderness|strong="H4057".
But|strong="H0061" the ark|strong="H0727" of God|strong="H0430" had David|strong="H1732" brought up|strong="H5927" from Kirjath-jearim|strong="H7157" to the place which David|strong="H1732" had prepared|strong="H3559" for it: for he had pitched|strong="H5186" a tent|strong="H0168" for it at Jerusalem|strong="H3389".
Moreover the brasen|strong="H5178" altar|strong="H4196", that Bezaleel|strong="H1212" the son|strong="H1121" of Uri|strong="H0221", the son|strong="H1121" of Hur|strong="H2354", had made|strong="H6213", he put|strong="H7760" before|strong="H6440" the tabernacle|strong="H4908" of the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w*: and Solomon|strong="H8010" and the congregation|strong="H6951" sought|strong="H1875" unto it.
And Solomon|strong="H8010" went up|strong="H5927" thither to the brasen|strong="H5178" altar|strong="H4196" before|strong="H6440" the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w*, which was at the tabernacle|strong="H0168" of the congregation|strong="H4150", and offered|strong="H5927" a thousand|strong="H0505" burnt offerings|strong="H5930" upon it.
In that night|strong="H3915" did God|strong="H0430" appear|strong="H7200" unto Solomon|strong="H8010", and said|strong="H0559" unto him, Ask|strong="H7592" what I shall give|strong="H5414" thee.
And Solomon|strong="H8010" said|strong="H0559" unto God|strong="H0430", Thou hast shewed|strong="H6213" great|strong="H1419" mercy|strong="H2617" unto David|strong="H1732" my father|strong="H0001", and hast made me to reign|strong="H4427" in his stead.
Now, O \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* God|strong="H0430", let thy promise|strong="H1697" unto David|strong="H1732" my father|strong="H0001" be established|strong="H0539": for thou hast made me king|strong="H4427" over a people|strong="H5971" like the dust|strong="H6083" of the earth|strong="H0776" in multitude|strong="H7227".
Give|strong="H5414" me now wisdom|strong="H2451" and knowledge|strong="H4093", that I may go out|strong="H3318" and come in|strong="H0935" before|strong="H6440" this people|strong="H5971": for who can judge|strong="H8199" this thy people|strong="H5971", that is so great|strong="H1419"?
And God|strong="H0430" said|strong="H0559" to Solomon|strong="H8010", Because this was in thine heart|strong="H3824", and thou hast not asked|strong="H7592" riches|strong="H6239", wealth|strong="H5233", or honour|strong="H3519", nor the life|strong="H5315" of thine enemies|strong="H8130", neither yet hast asked|strong="H7592" long|strong="H7227" life|strong="H3117"; but hast asked|strong="H7592" wisdom|strong="H2451" and knowledge|strong="H4093" for thyself, that thou mayest judge|strong="H8199" my people|strong="H5971", over whom I have made thee king|strong="H4427":
Wisdom|strong="H2451" and knowledge|strong="H4093" is granted|strong="H5414" unto thee; and I will give|strong="H5414" thee riches|strong="H6239", and wealth|strong="H5233", and honour|strong="H3519", such as none of the kings|strong="H4428" have had that have been before|strong="H6440" thee, neither shall there any after|strong="H0310" thee have the like.
Then Solomon|strong="H8010" came|strong="H0935" from his journey to the high place|strong="H1116" that was at Gibeon|strong="H1391" to Jerusalem|strong="H3389", from before|strong="H6440" the tabernacle|strong="H0168" of the congregation|strong="H4150", and reigned|strong="H4427" over Israel|strong="H3478".
And Solomon|strong="H8010" gathered|strong="H0622" chariots|strong="H7393" and horsemen|strong="H6571": and he had a thousand|strong="H0505" and four|strong="H0702" hundred|strong="H3967" chariots|strong="H7393", and twelve|strong="H8147" thousand|strong="H0505" horsemen|strong="H6571", which he placed|strong="H3240" in the chariot|strong="H7393" cities|strong="H5892", and with the king|strong="H4428" at Jerusalem|strong="H3389".
And the king|strong="H4428" made|strong="H5414" silver|strong="H3701" and gold|strong="H2091" at Jerusalem|strong="H3389" as plenteous as stones|strong="H0068", and cedar trees|strong="H0730" made|strong="H5414" he as the sycomore trees|strong="H8256" that are in the vale|strong="H8219" for abundance|strong="H7230".
And Solomon|strong="H8010" had horses|strong="H5483" brought|strong="H4161" out of Egypt|strong="H4714", and linen yarn|strong="H4723": the king’s|strong="H4428" merchants|strong="H5503" received|strong="H3947" the linen yarn|strong="H4723" at a price|strong="H4242".
And they fetched up|strong="H5927", and brought forth|strong="H3318" out of Egypt|strong="H4714" a chariot|strong="H4818" for six|strong="H8337" hundred|strong="H3967" shekels of silver|strong="H3701", and an horse|strong="H5483" for an hundred|strong="H3967" and fifty|strong="H2572": and so brought they out|strong="H3318" horses for all the kings|strong="H4428" of the Hittites|strong="H2850", and for the kings|strong="H4428" of Syria|strong="H0758", by their means|strong="H3027".
