In|strong="G1909" the mouth|strong="G4750" of two|strong="G1417" or|strong="G2532" three|strong="G5140" witnesses|strong="G3144" shall|strong="G2476" every|strong="G3956" word|strong="G4487" be established|strong="G2476".
1 É esta a terceira vez que vou visitar-vos. Pelo depoimento de duas ou três testemunhas se resolve toda a questão.
2 I told you before|strong="G4280", and|strong="G2532" foretell you|strong="G4302", as if|strong="G5613" I were present|strong="G3918", the second time|strong="G1208"; and|strong="G2532" being absent|strong="G0548" now|strong="G3568" I write|strong="G1125" to them|strong="G3588" which heretofore have sinned|strong="G4258", and|strong="G2532" to all|strong="G3956" other|strong="G3062", that|strong="G3754", if|strong="G1437" I come|strong="G2064" again|strong="G3825", I will|strong="G5339" not|strong="G3756" spare|strong="G5339":
2 Quando de minha segunda visita, já adverti àqueles que pecaram, e hoje, que estou ausente, torno a repeti-lo a eles e aos demais: se eu for outra vez, não usarei de perdão!
3 Since|strong="G1893" ye seek|strong="G2212" a proof|strong="G1382" of Christ|strong="G5547" speaking|strong="G2980" in|strong="G1722" me|strong="G1698", which|strong="G3739" to|strong="G1519" you-ward|strong="G5209" is|strong="G0770" not|strong="G3756" weak|strong="G0770", but|strong="G0235" is mighty|strong="G1414" in|strong="G1722" you|strong="G5213".
3 Simplesmente porque exigis a prova de que é Cristo que fala em mim. Ora, para convosco ele não é fraco, mas exerce o seu poder entre vós.
4 For|strong="G1063" though|strong="G2532" he was crucified|strong="G4717" through|strong="G1537" weakness|strong="G0769", yet|strong="G0235" he liveth|strong="G2198" by|strong="G1537" the power|strong="G1411" of God|strong="G2316". For|strong="G1063" we also|strong="G2249" are weak|strong="G0770" in|strong="G0846" him|strong="G0235", but|strong="G2198" we shall live|strong="G4862" with|strong="G0846" him|strong="G1537" by|strong="G1411" the power|strong="G2316" of God|strong="G1519" toward|strong="G5209" you|strong="G5209".
4 É verdade que ele foi crucificado por fraqueza, mas está vivo pelo poder de Deus. Também nós somos fracos nele, mas com ele viveremos, pelo poder de Deus para atuar entre vós.
5 Examine|strong="G3985" yourselves|strong="G1438", whether|strong="G1487" ye be|strong="G2075" in|strong="G1722" the faith|strong="G4102"; prove|strong="G1381" your own selves|strong="G1438". Know ye|strong="G1921" not|strong="G3756" your own selves|strong="G1438", how that|strong="G3754" Jesus|strong="G2424" Christ|strong="G5547" is|strong="G2076" in|strong="G1722" you|strong="G5213", except|strong="G1487" ye be|strong="G2075" reprobates|strong="G0096"?
5 Examinai-vos a vós mesmos, se estais na fé. Provai-vos a vós mesmos. Acaso não reconheceis que Cristo Jesus está em vós? A menos que a prova vos seja, talvez, desfavorável.
6 But|strong="G1161" I trust|strong="G1679" that|strong="G3754" ye shall know|strong="G1097" that|strong="G3754" we|strong="G2249" are|strong="G2070" not|strong="G3756" reprobates|strong="G0096".
6 Mas espero que reconhecereis que ela não é contra nós.
7 Now|strong="G1161" I pray|strong="G2172" to|strong="G4314" God|strong="G2316" that|strong="G4160" ye|strong="G5209" do|strong="G4160" no|strong="G3367" evil|strong="G2556"; not|strong="G3756" that|strong="G2443" we|strong="G2249" should appear|strong="G5316" approved|strong="G1384", but|strong="G0235" that|strong="G2443" ye|strong="G5210" should do|strong="G4160" that which|strong="G3588" is honest|strong="G2570", though|strong="G1161" we|strong="G2249" be|strong="G5600" as|strong="G5613" reprobates|strong="G0096".
7 Entretanto, rogamos a Deus que não façais mal algum, não para que pareçamos aprovados, mas para que vós façais o bem, embora nós sejamos tidos como reprovados.
8 For|strong="G1063" we can do|strong="G1410" nothing|strong="G3756" against|strong="G2596" the truth|strong="G0225", but|strong="G0235" for|strong="G5228" the truth|strong="G0225".
8 Contra a verdade não temos poder algum; temo-lo apenas em prol da verdade.
9 For|strong="G1063" we|strong="G2249" are glad|strong="G5463", when|strong="G3752" we are weak|strong="G0770", and|strong="G1161" ye|strong="G5210" are|strong="G5600" strong|strong="G1415": and|strong="G1161" this|strong="G5124" also|strong="G2532" we wish|strong="G2172", even your|strong="G5216" perfection|strong="G2676".
9 Alegramo-nos de ver-vos fortes, enquanto nós somos fracos. E até oramos por vossa perfeição.
10 Therefore|strong="G1223" I write|strong="G1125" these things|strong="G5023" being|strong="G2443" absent|strong="G0548", lest|strong="G3361" being present|strong="G3918" I should use|strong="G5530" sharpness|strong="G0664", according|strong="G2596" to the power|strong="G1849" which|strong="G3739" the Lord|strong="G2962" hath given|strong="G1325" me|strong="G3427" to|strong="G1519" edification|strong="G3619", and|strong="G2532" not|strong="G3756" to|strong="G1519" destruction|strong="G2506".
10 Eis por que eu vos escrevo de longe para que, estando presente, não tenha que usar de rigor, em vista do poder que o Senhor me conferiu para edificar, e não para destruir.
11 Finally|strong="G3063", brethren|strong="G0080", farewell|strong="G5463". Be perfect|strong="G2675", be of good comfort|strong="G3870", be|strong="G5426" of one|strong="G0846" mind|strong="G5426", live in peace|strong="G1514"; and|strong="G2532" the God|strong="G2316" of love|strong="G0026" and|strong="G2532" peace|strong="G1515" shall be|strong="G2071" with|strong="G3326" you|strong="G5216".
11 Por fim, irmãos, vivei com alegria. Tendei à perfeição, animai-vos, tende um só coração, vivei em paz, e o Deus de amor e paz estará convosco.
12 Greet|strong="G0782" one another|strong="G0240" with|strong="G1722" an holy|strong="G0040" kiss|strong="G5370".
12 Saudai-vos uns aos outros no ósculo santo.
