2 Grace|strong="G5485" be to you|strong="G5213" and|strong="G2532" peace|strong="G1515" from|strong="G0575" God|strong="G2316" our|strong="G2257" Father|strong="G3962", and|strong="G2532" from the Lord|strong="G2962" Jesus|strong="G2424" Christ|strong="G5547".
3 Blessed|strong="G2128" be God|strong="G2316", even|strong="G2532" the Father|strong="G3962" of our|strong="G2257" Lord|strong="G2962" Jesus|strong="G2424" Christ|strong="G5547", the Father|strong="G3962" of mercies|strong="G3628", and|strong="G2532" the God|strong="G2316" of all|strong="G3956" comfort|strong="G3874";
4 Who|strong="G3588" comforteth|strong="G3870" us|strong="G2248" in|strong="G1909" all|strong="G3956" our|strong="G2257" tribulation|strong="G2347", that we|strong="G2248" may be able|strong="G1410" to|strong="G1519" comfort|strong="G3870" them|strong="G3588" which are|strong="G3739" in|strong="G1722" any|strong="G3956" trouble|strong="G2347", by|strong="G1223" the comfort wherewith|strong="G3874" we ourselves|strong="G0846" are comforted|strong="G3870" of|strong="G5259" God|strong="G2316".
5 For|strong="G3754" as|strong="G2531" the sufferings|strong="G3804" of Christ|strong="G5547" abound|strong="G4052" in|strong="G1519" us|strong="G2248", so|strong="G3779" our|strong="G2257" consolation|strong="G3874" also|strong="G2532" aboundeth|strong="G4052" by|strong="G1223" Christ|strong="G5547".
6 And|strong="G1161" whether|strong="G1535" we be afflicted|strong="G2346", it is for|strong="G5228" your|strong="G5216" consolation|strong="G3874" and|strong="G2532" salvation|strong="G4991", which|strong="G3588" is effectual|strong="G1754" in|strong="G1722" the enduring|strong="G5281" of the same|strong="G0846" sufferings|strong="G3804" which|strong="G3739" we|strong="G2249" also|strong="G2532" suffer|strong="G3958": or whether|strong="G1535" we be comforted|strong="G3870", it is for|strong="G5228" your|strong="G5216" consolation|strong="G3874" and|strong="G2532" salvation|strong="G4991".
7 And our hope of you is stedfast, knowing|strong="G1492", that|strong="G3754" as|strong="G5618" ye are|strong="G2075" partakers|strong="G2844" of the sufferings|strong="G3804", so|strong="G3779" shall ye be also|strong="G2532" of the consolation|strong="G3874".
8 For|strong="G1063" we would|strong="G2309" not|strong="G3756", brethren|strong="G0080", have|strong="G0050" you|strong="G5209" ignorant|strong="G0050" of|strong="G5228" our|strong="G2257" trouble|strong="G2347" which came|strong="G1096" to us|strong="G2254" in|strong="G1722" Asia|strong="G0773", that|strong="G3754" we were pressed|strong="G0916" out|strong="G2596" of measure|strong="G5236", above|strong="G5228" strength|strong="G1411", insomuch that|strong="G5620" we|strong="G2248" despaired|strong="G1820" even|strong="G2532" of life|strong="G2198":
9 But|strong="G0235" we|strong="G0846" had|strong="G2192" the sentence|strong="G0610" of death|strong="G2288" in|strong="G1722" ourselves|strong="G1438", that|strong="G2443" we should|strong="G5600" not|strong="G3361" trust|strong="G3982" in|strong="G1909" ourselves|strong="G1438", but|strong="G0235" in|strong="G1909" God|strong="G2316" which|strong="G3588" raiseth|strong="G1453" the dead|strong="G3498":
10 Who|strong="G3739" delivered|strong="G4506" us|strong="G2248" from|strong="G1537" so great|strong="G5082" a death|strong="G2288", and|strong="G2532" doth deliver|strong="G4506": in|strong="G1519" whom|strong="G3739" we trust|strong="G1679" that|strong="G3754" he will|strong="G4506" yet|strong="G2089" deliver|strong="G4506" us;
11 Ye|strong="G5216" also|strong="G2532" helping together|strong="G4943" by prayer|strong="G1162" for|strong="G5228" us|strong="G2257", that|strong="G2443" for the gift|strong="G5486" bestowed upon|strong="G1519" us|strong="G2248" by the means of|strong="G1537" many|strong="G4183" persons|strong="G4383" thanks may be given|strong="G2168" by|strong="G1223" many|strong="G4183" on|strong="G5228" our behalf|strong="G2257".
12 For|strong="G1063" our|strong="G2257" rejoicing|strong="G2746" is|strong="G2076" this|strong="G3778", the testimony|strong="G3142" of our|strong="G2257" conscience|strong="G4893", that|strong="G3754" in|strong="G1722" simplicity|strong="G0572" and|strong="G2532" godly|strong="G2316" sincerity|strong="G1505", not|strong="G3756" with|strong="G1722" fleshly|strong="G4559" wisdom|strong="G4678", but|strong="G0235" by|strong="G1722" the grace|strong="G5485" of God|strong="G2316", we have had our conversation|strong="G0390" in|strong="G1722" the world|strong="G2889", and|strong="G1161" more abundantly|strong="G4056" to|strong="G4314" you-ward|strong="G5209".
13 For|strong="G1063" we write|strong="G1125" none|strong="G3756" other things|strong="G0243" unto you|strong="G5213", than|strong="G0235" what|strong="G3739" ye read|strong="G0314" or|strong="G2228" acknowledge|strong="G1921"; and|strong="G1161" I trust|strong="G1679" ye shall acknowledge|strong="G1921" even|strong="G2532" to|strong="G2193" the end|strong="G5056";
14 As|strong="G2531" also|strong="G2532" ye have acknowledged|strong="G1921" us|strong="G2248" in|strong="G0575" part|strong="G3313", that|strong="G3754" we are|strong="G2070" your|strong="G5216" rejoicing|strong="G2745", even as|strong="G2509" ye|strong="G5210" also|strong="G2532" are ours|strong="G2257" in|strong="G1722" the day|strong="G2250" of the Lord|strong="G2962" Jesus|strong="G2424".
15 And|strong="G2532" in this|strong="G3778" confidence|strong="G4006" I was minded|strong="G1014" to come|strong="G2064" unto|strong="G4314" you|strong="G5209" before|strong="G4386", that|strong="G2443" ye might have|strong="G2192" a second|strong="G1208" benefit|strong="G5485";
16 And|strong="G2532" to pass|strong="G1330" by|strong="G1223" you|strong="G5216" into|strong="G1519" Macedonia|strong="G3109", and|strong="G2532" to come|strong="G2064" again|strong="G3825" out of|strong="G0575" Macedonia|strong="G3109" unto|strong="G4314" you|strong="G5209", and|strong="G2532" of|strong="G5259" you|strong="G5216" to be brought on my way|strong="G4311" toward|strong="G1519" Judaea|strong="G2449".
17 When I therefore|strong="G3767" was|strong="G1011" thus|strong="G5124" minded|strong="G1011", did|strong="G3361" I use|strong="G5530" lightness|strong="G1644"? or|strong="G2228" the things|strong="G3739" that I purpose|strong="G1011", do I purpose|strong="G1011" according to|strong="G2596" the flesh|strong="G4561", that|strong="G2443" with|strong="G3844" me|strong="G1698" there should be|strong="G5600" yea|strong="G3483" yea|strong="G3483", and|strong="G2532" nay|strong="G3756" nay|strong="G3756"?
18 But|strong="G1161" as God|strong="G2316" is true|strong="G4103", our|strong="G2257" word|strong="G3056" toward|strong="G4314" you|strong="G5209" was|strong="G1096" not|strong="G3756" yea|strong="G3483" and|strong="G2532" nay|strong="G3756".
19 For|strong="G1063" the Son|strong="G5207" of God|strong="G2316", Jesus|strong="G2424" Christ|strong="G5547", who|strong="G3588" was preached|strong="G2784" among|strong="G1722" you|strong="G5213" by|strong="G1223" us|strong="G2257", even by|strong="G1223" me|strong="G1700" and|strong="G2532" Silvanus|strong="G4610" and|strong="G2532" Timotheus|strong="G5095", was|strong="G1096" not|strong="G3756" yea|strong="G3483" and|strong="G2532" nay|strong="G3756", but|strong="G0235" in|strong="G1722" him|strong="G0846" was|strong="G1096" yea|strong="G3483".
20 For|strong="G1063" all|strong="G3745" the promises|strong="G1860" of God|strong="G2316" in|strong="G1722" him|strong="G0846" are yea|strong="G3483", and|strong="G2532" in|strong="G1722" him|strong="G0846" Amen|strong="G0281", unto|strong="G4314" the glory|strong="G1391" of God|strong="G2316" by|strong="G1223" us|strong="G2257".
21 Now|strong="G1161" he which|strong="G3588" stablisheth|strong="G0950" us|strong="G2248" with|strong="G4862" you|strong="G5213" in|strong="G1519" Christ|strong="G5547", and|strong="G2532" hath anointed|strong="G5548" us|strong="G2248", is God|strong="G2316";
22 Who|strong="G3588" hath|strong="G4972" also|strong="G2532" sealed|strong="G4972" us|strong="G2248", and|strong="G2532" given|strong="G1325" the earnest|strong="G0728" of the Spirit|strong="G4151" in|strong="G1722" our|strong="G2257" hearts|strong="G2588".
23 Moreover|strong="G1161" I|strong="G1473" call|strong="G1941" God|strong="G2316" for a record|strong="G3144" upon|strong="G1909" my|strong="G1699" soul|strong="G5590", that|strong="G3754" to spare|strong="G5339" you|strong="G5216" I came|strong="G2064" not as yet|strong="G3765" unto|strong="G1519" Corinth|strong="G2882".
24 Not|strong="G3756" for that|strong="G3754" we have dominion|strong="G2961" over your|strong="G5216" faith|strong="G4102", but|strong="G0235" are|strong="G2070" helpers|strong="G4904" of your|strong="G5216" joy|strong="G5479": for|strong="G1063" by faith|strong="G4102" ye stand|strong="G2476".
