23 Não tomou, porém, Davi o número dos de vinte anos para baixo, porquanto o Senhor tinha falado que havia de multiplicar a Israel como as estrelas do céu.

24 Joabe, filho de Zeruia, tinha começado a numerá-los, porém não acabou; porquanto viera por isso grande ira sobre Israel; assim o número não se pôs no registro das crônicas do rei Davi.

25 E sobre os tesouros do rei estava Azmavete, filho de Adiel; e sobre os tesouros dos campos, das cidades, e das aldeias, e das torres, Jônatas, filho de Uzias.
26 And over them that did|strong="H6213" the work|strong="H4399" of the field|strong="H7704" for tillage|strong="H5656" of the ground|strong="H0127" was Ezri|strong="H5836" the son|strong="H1121" of Chelub|strong="H3620":
26 E sobre os que faziam a obra do campo, na lavoura da terra, Ezri, filho de Quelube.
27 And over the vineyards|strong="H3754" was Shimei|strong="H8096" the Ramathite|strong="H7435": over the increase of the vineyards|strong="H3754" for the wine|strong="H3196" cellars|strong="H0214" was Zabdi|strong="H2067" the Shiphmite|strong="H8225":
27 E sobre as vinhas, Simei, o ramatita; porém sobre o que das vides entrava nas adegas do vinho, Zabdi, o sifmita.
28 And over the olive trees|strong="H2132" and the sycomore trees|strong="H8256" that were in the low plains|strong="H8219" was Baal-hanan|strong="H1177" the Gederite|strong="H1451": and over the cellars|strong="H0214" of oil|strong="H8081" was Joash|strong="H3135":
28 E sobre os olivais e sicômoros que havia nas campinas, Baal-Hanã, o gederita; porém Joás sobre os armazéns do azeite.
29 And over the herds|strong="H1241" that fed|strong="H7462" in Sharon|strong="H8289" was Shitrai|strong="H7861" the Sharonite|strong="H8290": and over the herds|strong="H1241" that were in the valleys|strong="H6010" was Shaphat|strong="H8202" the son|strong="H1121" of Adlai|strong="H5724":
29 E sobre os gados que pastavam em Sarom, Sitrai, o saronita; porém, sobre os gados dos vales, Safate, filho de Adlai.
30 Over the camels|strong="H1581" also was Obil|strong="H0179" the Ishmaelite|strong="H3459": and over the asses|strong="H0860" was Jehdeiah|strong="H3165" the Meronothite|strong="H4824":
30 E sobre os camelos, Obil, o ismaelita; e sobre as jumentas, Jedias, o meronotita.
31 And over the flocks|strong="H6629" was Jaziz|strong="H3151" the Hagerite|strong="H1905". All these were the rulers|strong="H8269" of the substance|strong="H7399" which was king|strong="H4428" David’s|strong="H1732".
31 E sobre o gado miúdo, Jaziz, o hagrita; todos esses eram administradores da fazenda que tinha o rei Davi.
32 Also Jonathan|strong="H3083" David’s|strong="H1732" uncle|strong="H1730" was a counsellor|strong="H3289", a wise|strong="H0995" man|strong="H0376", and a scribe|strong="H5608": and Jehiel|strong="H3171" the son|strong="H1121" of Hachmoni|strong="H2453" was with the king’s|strong="H4428" sons|strong="H1121":
32 E Jônatas, tio de Davi, era do conselho, homem entendido, e também escriba; e Jeiel, filho de Hacmoni, estava com os filhos do rei.
33 And Ahithophel|strong="H0302" was the king’s|strong="H4428" counsellor|strong="H3289": and Hushai|strong="H2365" the Archite|strong="H0757" was the king’s|strong="H4428" companion|strong="H7453":
33 E Aitofel era do conselho do rei; e Husai, o arquita, amigo do rei.
34 And after|strong="H0310" Ahithophel|strong="H0302" was Jehoiada|strong="H3077" the son|strong="H1121" of Benaiah|strong="H1141", and Abiathar|strong="H0054": and the general|strong="H8269" of the king’s|strong="H4428" army|strong="H6635" was Joab|strong="H3097".
34 E depois de Aitofel, Joiada, filho de Benaia, e Abiatar; porém Joabe era o general do exército do rei.
