¹ Unto the end, in verses, a psalm for David, for the octave.

¹ Senhor, não me repreendas na tua ira, nem me castigues no teu furor.

² O Lord, rebuke me not in thy indignation, nor chastise me in thy wrath.

² Tem misericórdia de mim, Senhor, porque sou fraco; sara-me, Senhor, porque os meus ossos estão perturbados.

³ Have mercy on me, O Lord, for I am weak: heal me, O Lord, for my bones are troubled.

³ Até a minha alma está perturbada; mas tu, Senhor, até quando?.

⁴ And my soul is troubled exceedingly: but thou, O Lord, how long?

⁴ Volta-te, Senhor, livra a minha alma; salva-me por tua benignidade.

⁵ Turn to me, O Lord, and deliver my soul: O save me for thy mercy's sake.

⁵ Porque na morte não há lembrança de ti; no sepulcro quem te louvará?

⁶ For there is no one in death, that is mindful of thee: and who shall confess to thee in hell?

⁶ Já estou cansado do meu gemido, toda a noite faço nadar a minha cama; molho o meu leito com as minhas lágrimas,

⁷ I have laboured in my groanings, every night I will wash my bed: I will water my couch with my tears.

⁷ Já os meus olhos estão consumidos pela mágoa, e têm-se envelhecido por causa de todos os meus inimigos.

⁸ My eye is troubled through indignation: I have grown old amongst all my enemies.

⁸ Apartai-vos de mim todos os que praticais a iniqüidade; porque o Senhor já ouviu a voz do meu pranto.

⁹ Depart from me, all ye workers of iniquity: for the Lord hath heard the voice of my weeping.

⁹ O Senhor já ouviu a minha súplica; o Senhor aceitará a minha oração.

¹⁰ The Lord hath heard my supplication: the Lord hath received my prayer.

¹⁰ Envergonhem-se e perturbem-se todos os meus inimigos; tornem atrás e envergonhem-se num momento.

¹¹ Let all my enemies be ashamed, and be very much troubled: let them be turned back, and be ashamed very speedily.
