¹ A psalm for David. Judge me, O God, and distinguish my cause from the nation that is not holy : deliver me from the unjust and deceitful man.

¹ Faze-me justiça, ó Deus, e defende a minha causa contra a nação infiel; livra-me dessa gente fraudulenta e injusta.

² For thou art God my strength : why hast thou cast me off? and why do I go sorrowful whilst the enemy afflicteth me?

² Pois tu és o Deus da minha fortaleza. Por que me rejeitas? Por que hei de andar eu lamentando sob a opressão dos meus inimigos?

³ Send forth thy light and thy truth : they have conducted me, and brought me unto thy holy hill, and into thy tabernacles.

³ Envia a tua luz e a tua verdade, para que me guiem e me levem ao teu santo monte e aos teus tabernáculos.

⁴ And I will go in to the altar of God : to God who giveth joy to my youth.

⁴ Então irei ao altar de Deus, de Deus, que é a minha grande alegria; ao som da harpa eu te louvarei, ó Deus, Deus meu.

⁵ To thee, O God my God, I will give praise upon the harp : why art thou sad, O my soul? and why dost thou disquiet me?

⁵ Por que você está abatida, ó minha alma? Por que se perturba dentro de mim? Espere em Deus, pois ainda o louvarei, a ele, meu auxílio e Deus meu.

⁶ Hope in God, for I will still give praise to him : the salvation of my countenance, and my God.
