1 Is but faith, of things being hoped for a basis, of things a conviction not being seen.
1 A fé é a certeza de que vamos receber as coisas que esperamos e a prova de que existem coisas que não podemos ver.
2 By this for were attested the ancients.
2 Foi pela fé que as pessoas do passado conseguiram a aprovação de Deus.
3 In faith we perceive to have been adjusted the ages by a word of God, in order that not out of things appearing the things being seen to have happened.
3 É pela fé que entendemos que o Universo foi criado pela palavra de Deus e que aquilo que pode ser visto foi feito daquilo que não se vê.
4 In faith more sacrifice Abel than Cain offered to the God, through which he was attested to be righteous, testifying on the gifts of him of the God; and through her having died yet speaks.
4 Foi pela fé que Abel ofereceu a Deus um sacrifício melhor do que o de Caim. Pela fé ele conseguiu a aprovação de Deus como homem correto, tendo o próprio Deus aprovado as suas ofertas. Por meio da sua fé, Abel, mesmo depois de morto, ainda fala.
5 In faith Enoch was translated, of the not to see death; and not he was found, because translated him the God; before for the translation of him he had obtained testimony to have well pleased the God.
5 Foi pela fé que Enoque escapou da morte. Ele foi levado para Deus, e ninguém o encontrou porque Deus mesmo o havia levado. As Escrituras Sagradas dizem que antes disso ele já havia agradado a Deus.
6 Without but faith impossible to have pleased; to believe for it is necessary the one coming near to the God, because he is, and to those seeking him a rewarder he becomes.
6 Sem fé ninguém pode agradar a Deus, porque quem vai a ele precisa crer que ele existe e que recompensa os que procuram conhecê-lo melhor.
7 In faith being divinely Noah concerning the not yet things being seen, having been piously afraid built an ark for a preservation of the house of himself; through which he condemned the world, and of the according to faith righteousness became an heir.
7 Foi pela fé que Noé ouviu os avisos de Deus sobre as coisas que iam acontecer e que não podiam ser vistas. Noé obedeceu a Deus e construiu uma barca em que ele e a sua família foram salvos. Assim Noé condenou o mundo e recebeu de Deus a aprovação que vem por meio da fé.
8 In faith being called Abraham was obedient to go forth into the place, which he was about to receive for an inheritances, and he went forth, not knowing where he was going.
8 Foi pela fé que Abraão, ao ser chamado por Deus, obedeceu e saiu para uma terra que Deus lhe prometeu dar. Ele deixou o seu próprio país, sem saber para onde ia.
9 In faith he sojourned in the land of the promise as a stranger, in tents having dwelt, with Isaac and Jacob of the jointheirs of the promise of the same;
9 Pela fé ele morou como estrangeiro na terra que Deus lhe havia prometido. Viveu em barracas com Isaque e Jacó, que também receberam a mesma promessa de Deus.
10 was waiting for that the foundations having city, of which a designer and architect the God;
10 Porque Abraão esperava a cidade que Deus planejou e construiu, a cidade que tem alicerces que não podem ser destruídos.
11 In faith also herself Sarah power for a laying down of seed received, even beyond a proper time of life, since faithful she regarded the one promising.
11 Foi pela fé que Abraão se tornou pai, embora fosse velho demais e a própria Sara não pudesse ter filhos. Ele creu que Deus ia cumprir a sua promessa.
12 Therefore even from one were born, and these things having been dead, like the stars of the heaven for the multitude, and like the sand that by the shore of the sea the innumerable,
12 Assim, de um só homem, que estava praticamente morto, nasceram tantos descendentes como as estrelas do céu, tão numerosos como os grãos de areia da praia do mar.
13 In faith died these all, not having received the promises, but far distant them having seen and having saluted, and having confessed, that strangers and sojourners they are on the earth.
13 Todos esses morreram cheios de fé. Não receberam as coisas que Deus tinha prometido, mas as viram de longe e ficaram contentes por causa delas. E declararam que eram estrangeiros e refugiados, de passagem por este mundo.
14 Those for such things saying make known that a country they seek.
14 E aqueles que dizem isso mostram bem claro que estão procurando uma pátria para si mesmos.
15 And if indeed that they remembered from which they came forth, they would have had a season to have returned;
15 Não ficaram pensando em voltar para a terra de onde tinham saído. Se quisessem, teriam a oportunidade de voltar.
16 now but a better they long after, this is, heavenly. Therefore not is ashamed of them the God, a God to be called of them; he prepared for for them a city.
16 Mas, pelo contrário, estavam procurando uma pátria melhor, a pátria celestial. E Deus não se envergonha de ser chamado de o Deus deles, porque ele mesmo preparou uma cidade para eles.
17 In faith offered up Abraham the Isaac being tried, and the onlybegotten was offering up he the promise having received,
17 Foi pela fé que Abraão, quando Deus o quis pôr à prova, ofereceu o seu filho Isaque em sacrifício . Deus tinha prometido muitos descendentes a Abraão, mas mesmo assim ele estava pronto para oferecer o seu único filho em sacrifício.
18 to whom it was said: That in Isaac shall be called to thee a seed;
18 Deus lhe tinha dito: “Por meio de Isaque é que você terá descendentes.”
19 inferring, that even out of dead ones to raise up is able the God; whence him also in a similitude he recovered.
19 Abraão reconhecia que Deus era capaz de ressuscitar Isaque, e, por assim dizer, Abraão tornou a receber da morte o seu filho Isaque.
20 In faith concerning things being to come blessed Isaac the Jacob and the Esau.
20 Foi pela fé que Isaque prometeu bênçãos para o futuro a Jacó e a Esaú.
21 In faith Jacob dying each of the sons of Joseph blessed; and bowed down on the top of the staff of himself.
21 Foi pela fé que Jacó, pouco antes de morrer, abençoou os filhos de José. Ele se apoiou na sua bengala e adorou a Deus.
22 In faith Joseph ending concerning the going out of the sons of Israel reminded, and concerning the bones of himself gave charge.
22 Foi pela fé que José, quando estava para morrer, falou da saída dos israelitas do Egito e deu ordens sobre o que deveria ser feito com o seu corpo.
23 In faith Moses being born was hidden three months by the parents of himself, because they saw beautiful the babe; and not they did fear the mandate of the king.
23 Foi pela fé que os pais de Moisés, quando ele nasceu, o esconderam durante três meses. Eles viram que o menino era bonito e não tiveram medo de desobedecer à ordem do rei.
24 In faith Moses great having become refused to be called a son of a daughter of Pharaoh,
24 Foi pela fé que Moisés, quando já era adulto, não quis ser chamado de filho da filha de Faraó.
25 rather choosing to suffer evil with the people of the God, than for a season to have of sin enjoyment;
25 Ele preferiu sofrer com o povo de Deus em vez de gozar, por pouco tempo, os prazeres do pecado.
26 greater wealth having regarded of the Egypt treasures the reproach of the Anointed; he looked away for towards the reward.
26 Ele achou que era muito melhor sofrer o desprezo por causa do Messias do que possuir todos os tesouros do Egito. É que ele tinha os olhos fixos na recompensa futura.
27 In faith he left Egypt, not fearing the wrath of the king; the for unseen one as seeing he was strong.
27 Foi pela fé que Moisés saiu do Egito, sem ter medo da raiva do rei, e continuou firme, como se estivesse vendo o Deus invisível.
28 In faith he has made the passover and the pouring on of the blood, so that not the one destroying the firstborns, might touch of them.
28 Pela fé Moisés começou o costume de celebrar a Páscoa e mandou marcar com sangue as portas das casas dos israelitas para que o Anjo da Morte não matasse os filhos mais velhos deles.
29 In faith they passed through the red sea as through a dry place; which a trial attempting the Egyptians, were swallowed up.
29 Foi pela fé que os israelitas atravessaram o mar Vermelho como se fosse terra seca. E, quando os egípcios tentaram atravessar, o mar os engoliu.
30 In faith the walls of Jericho fell, having been encompassed for seven days.
30 Foi pela fé que caíram as muralhas de Jericó, depois que os israelitas marcharam em volta delas durante sete dias.
31 In faith Rahab the harlot not was destroyed with those unbelieving, having received the spies with peace.
31 Foi pela fé que Raabe, a prostituta, não morreu com os que tinham desobedecido a Deus, pois ela havia recebido bem os espiões israelitas.
32 And what further may I say? Will fail for me relating the time concerning Gideon, Barak also and Samson, and Jepthah, David also and Samuel, and the prophets;
32 O que mais posso dizer? O tempo é pouco para falar de Gideão, de Baraque, de Sansão, de Jefté, de Davi, de Samuel e dos profetas .
33 who by means of faith subdued kingdoms, performed righteousness, obtained promises, closed up, mouths of lions,
33 Pela fé eles lutaram contra nações inteiras e venceram. Fizeram o que era correto e receberam o que Deus lhes havia prometido. Fecharam a boca de leões,
34 quenched power of fire, escaped mouths of sword, were made strong from weakness, became mighty ones in war, camps overturned of foreigners;
34 apagaram incêndios terríveis e escaparam de serem mortos à espada. Eram fracos, mas se tornaram fortes. Foram poderosos na guerra e venceram exércitos estrangeiros.
35 received women from a resurrection the dead ones of themselves; others but were beaten to death, not having accepted the redemption, so that a better resurrection they might obtain.
35 Pela fé mulheres receberam de volta os seus mortos, que ressuscitaram. Outros foram torturados até a morte; eles recusaram ser postos em liberdade a fim de ressuscitar para uma vida melhor.
36 Others but of mockings and of scourges a trial received, further but of bonds and of imprisonment;
36 Alguns foram insultados e surrados; e outros, acorrentados e jogados na cadeia.
37 they were stoned, they were sawn a sunder, they were tempted, by slaughter of sword they died; they went about in sheepskins, in goat skins, being in want, being afflicted, being illtreated,
37 Outros foram mortos a pedradas; outros, serrados pelo meio; e outros, mortos à espada. Andaram de um lado para outro vestidos de peles de ovelhas e de cabras; eram pobres, perseguidos e maltratados.
38 (of whom not was worthy the world,) in deserts wandering and in mountains, and in caves and in the holes of the earth.
38 Andaram como refugiados pelos desertos e montes, vivendo em cavernas e em buracos na terra. O mundo não era digno deles!
39 And these all having been attested by means of the faith, not did obtain the promise,
39 Porque creram, todas essas pessoas foram aprovadas por Deus, mas não receberam o que ele havia prometido.
40 the God concerning us a better thing having foreseen, so that not apart from us they might be made perfect.
40 Pois Deus tinha preparado um plano ainda melhor para nós, a fim de que, somente conosco, elas fossem aperfeiçoadas.
