1 What was from a beginning, what we have heard, what we have see with the eyes of us, what we gazed on, and the hands of us felt, concerning the Word of the life;
1 O que era desde o princípio, o que temos ouvido, o que temos visto com os nossos próprios olhos, o que contemplamos, e as nossas mãos apalparam, com respeito ao Verbo da vida
2 (and the life was manifested, and we have seen, and we bear testimony, and we declare to you the life the agelasting, which was with the Father, and was manifested to us;)
2 (e a vida se manifestou, e nós a temos visto, e dela damos testemunho, e vo-la anunciamos, a vida eterna, a qual estava com o Pai e nos foi manifestada),
3 what we have seen and we have heard, we declare to you, so that also you fellowship may have with us; indeed the fellowship and the our with the Father and with the son of him Jesus Anointed.
3 o que temos visto e ouvido anunciamos também a vós outros, para que vós, igualmente, mantenhais comunhão conosco. Ora, a nossa comunhão é com o Pai e com seu Filho, Jesus Cristo.
4 And these things we write to you, so that the joy of you may be complete.
4 Estas coisas, pois, vos escrevemos para que a nossa alegria seja completa.
5 And this is the message, which we have heard from him and announce to you, that the God light is, and darkness in him not is any.
5 Ora, a mensagem que, da parte dele, temos ouvido e vos anunciamos é esta: que Deus é luz, e não há nele treva nenhuma.
6 If we should say, that fellowship we have with him and in the darkness we should walk, we speak falsely, and not we do the truth;
6 Se dissermos que mantemos comunhão com ele e andarmos nas trevas, mentimos e não praticamos a verdade.
7 if but in the light we should walk, as he is in the light, fellowship we have with each other, and the blood of Jesus Anointed the son of him cleanses us from all sin.
7 Se, porém, andarmos na luz, como ele está na luz, mantemos comunhão uns com os outros, e o sangue de Jesus, seu Filho, nos purifica de todo pecado.
8 If we should say, that sin not we have, ourselves we deceive, and the truth not is in us.
8 Se dissermos que não temos pecado nenhum, a nós mesmos nos enganamos, e a verdade não está em nós.
9 If we confess the the sins of us, faithful he is and just so that he may forgive to us the sins, and he may cleanse us from all righteousness.
9 Se confessarmos os nossos pecados, ele é fiel e justo para nos perdoar os pecados e nos purificar de toda injustiça.
10 If we should say, that not we have sinned, a liar we make him, and the word of him not is in us.
10 Se dissermos que não temos cometido pecado, fazemo-lo mentiroso, e a sua palavra não está em nós.
