Darby Bible (DARBY) vs NTLH
1 And Job continued his parable and said,
1 E Jó continuou em sua fala e disse:
2 {As} *God liveth, who hath taken away my right, and the Almighty, who hath embittered my soul,
2 “Juro por Deus, pelo Todo-Poderoso, que não quer me fazer justiça e que enche de amargura o meu coração,
3 All the while my breath is in me, and the spirit of +God is in my nostrils,
3 juro que, enquanto ele me der forças para respirar,
4 My lips shall not speak unrighteousness, nor my tongue utter deceit!
4 os meus lábios nunca dirão coisas más, e a minha língua não contará mentiras.
5 Be it far from me that I should justify you; till I die I will not remove my blamelessness from me.
5 Nunca direi que vocês têm razão de me acusar; enquanto viver, insistirei na minha inocência.
6 My righteousness I hold fast, and will not let it go: my heart reproacheth {me} not one of my days.
6 Fico firme e não desisto de dizer que estou certo, pois a minha consciência nunca me acusou.
7 Let mine enemy be as the wicked, and he that riseth up against me as the unrighteous.
7 “Que todos os que são contra mim, os que são meus inimigos, sejam castigados como os maus, como os perversos!
8 For what is the hope of the ungodly, when {God} cutteth him off, when +God taketh away his soul?
8 Que esperança terão os ateus quando Deus lhes tirar a vida?
9 Will *God hear his cry when distress cometh upon him?
9 Quando estiverem em dificuldades, ele não ouvirá os seus gritos,
10 Doth he delight himself in the Almighty? will he at all times call upon +God?
10 pois Deus não é a alegria deles, e eles nunca fizeram orações ao Todo-Poderoso.
11 I will teach you concerning the hand of *God; what is with the Almighty will I not conceal.
11 “Vou ensinar a vocês como é grande o poder de Deus, vou explicar os planos do Todo-Poderoso.
12 Behold, ye yourselves have all seen {it}; and why are ye thus altogether vain?
12 Não, não é preciso, pois vocês todos já viram isso. Então por que é que ficam aí dizendo bobagens?”
13 This is the portion of the wicked man with *God, and the heritage of the violent, which they receive from the Almighty: -
13 “Vou dizer como Deus, o Todo-Poderoso, castiga os homens maus e violentos.
14 If his children be multiplied, it is for the sword, and his offspring shall not be satisfied with bread;
14 As suas crianças passarão fome, e os seus filhos, mesmo que sejam muitos, morrerão na guerra;
15 Those that remain of him shall be buried by death, and his widows shall not weep.
15 os que ficarem vivos morrerão de doença, e as suas viúvas não chorarão por eles.
16 Though he heap up silver as the dust, and prepare clothing as the clay;
16 “O perverso pode ajuntar prata aos montes, pode ter muita roupa, muita mesmo,
17 He may prepare it, but the just shall put it on; and the innocent shall divide the silver.
17 mas algum dia uma pessoa direita usará essas roupas, e um homem honesto ficará com a prata.
18 He buildeth his house as the moth, and as a booth that a keeper maketh.
18 A casa que o homem mau constrói dura tão pouco tempo como uma teia de aranha ou como a cabana de um vigia numa plantação.
19 He lieth down rich, but will do so no more; he openeth his eyes, and he is not.
19 O homem mau vai rico para a cama, mas é pela última vez, pois, quando acorda, a sua riqueza já se foi.
20 Terrors overtake him like waters; a whirlwind stealeth him away in the night.
20 O terror o arrasará como se fosse uma enchente, e de noite a tempestade o jogará longe.
21 The east wind carrieth him away and he is gone; and as a storm it hurleth him out of his place.
21 O vento violento do Leste o arrancará da sua casa,
22 And {God} shall cast upon him and not spare: he would fain flee out of his hand.
22 soprando contra ele sem piedade, enquanto ele faz tudo para escapar.
23 {Men} shall clap their hands at him, and shall hiss him out of his place.
23 Ele corre, e o vento assobia e o apavora com o seu poder destruidor.”
