1 But this know, that in {the} last days difficult times shall be there;
1 Saiba disto: nos últimos dias sobrevirão tempos terríveis.
2 for men shall be lovers of self, lovers of money, boastful, arrogant, evil speakers, disobedient to parents, ungrateful, profane,
2 Os homens serão egoístas, avarentos, presunçosos, arrogantes, blasfemos, desobedientes aos pais, ingratos, ímpios,
3 without natural affection, implacable, slanderers, of unsubdued passions, savage, having no love for what is good,
3 sem amor pela família, irreconciliáveis, caluniadores, sem domínio próprio, cruéis, inimigos do bem,
4 traitors, headlong, of vain pretensions, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God;
4 traidores, precipitados, soberbos, mais amantes dos prazeres do que amigos de Deus,
5 having a form of piety but denying the power of it: and from these turn away.
5 tendo aparência de piedade, mas negando o seu poder. Afaste-se também destes.
6 For of these are they who are getting into houses, and leading captive silly women, laden with sins, led by various lusts,
6 São estes os que se introduzem pelas casas e conquistam mulherzinhas sobrecarregadas de pecados, as quais se deixam levar por toda espécie de desejos.
7 always learning, and never able to come to {the} knowledge of {the} truth.
7 Elas estão sempre aprendendo, mas não conseguem nunca de chegar ao conhecimento da verdade.
8 Now in the same manner in which Jannes and Jambres withstood Moses, thus these also withstand the truth; men corrupted in mind, found worthless as regards the faith.
8 Como Janes e Jambres se opuseram a Moisés, esses também resistem à verdade. A mente deles é depravada; são reprovados na fé.
9 But they shall not advance farther; for their folly shall be completely manifest to all, as that of those also became.
9 Não irão longe, porém; como no caso daqueles, a sua insensatez se tornará evidente a todos.
10 But *thou* hast been thoroughly acquainted with my teaching, conduct, purpose, faith, longsuffering, love, endurance,
10 Mas você tem seguido de perto o meu ensino, a minha conduta, o meu propósito, a minha fé, a minha paciência, o meu amor, a minha perseverança,
11 persecutions, sufferings: what {sufferings} happened to me in Antioch, in Iconium, in Lystra; what persecutions I endured; and the Lord delivered me out of all.
11 as perseguições e os sofrimentos que enfrentei, coisas que me aconteceram em Antioquia, Icônio e Listra. Quanta perseguição suportei! Mas, de todas essas coisas o Senhor me livrou!
12 And all indeed who desire to live piously in Christ Jesus will be persecuted.
12 De fato, todos os que desejam viver piedosamente em Cristo Jesus serão perseguidos.
13 But wicked men and juggling impostors shall advance in evil, leading and being led astray.
13 Contudo, os perversos e impostores irão de mal a pior, enganando e sendo enganados.
14 But *thou*, abide in those things which thou hast learned, and {of which} thou hast been fully persuaded, knowing of whom thou hast learned {them};
14 Quanto a você, porém, permaneça nas coisas que aprendeu e das quais tem convicção, pois você sabe de quem o aprendeu.
15 and that from a child thou hast known the sacred letters, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation, through faith which {is} in Christ Jesus.
15 Porque desde criança você conhece as sagradas letras, que são capazes de torná-lo sábio para a salvação mediante a fé em Cristo Jesus.
16 Every scripture {is} divinely inspired, and profitable for teaching, for conviction, for correction, for instruction in righteousness;
16 Toda a Escritura é inspirada por Deus e útil para o ensino, para a repreensão, para a correção e para a instrução na justiça,
17 that the man of God may be complete, fully fitted to every good work.
17 para que o homem de Deus seja apto e plenamente preparado para toda boa obra.
