Ní 'tíícā canéé nguūⁿ na libro yeⁿ'é Ndyuūs cáávā chuū:
Because it is contained in the scripture: Behold, I lay in Zion a corner stone, elect, precious: and he that believes on him shall not be put to shame.
Ní tuūu miiⁿ ní neené vɛ́ɛ́ chii'vɛ̄ cucáávā ndis'tiī chi i'téénu nī Cristo naati nguɛ́ɛ́ 'tíícā tuūu miiⁿ nanááⁿ 'iiⁿ'yāⁿ chi nguɛ́ɛ́ i'téénu yā. 'Tíícā canéé nguūⁿ na libro yeⁿ'é Ndyuūs:
To you therefore who believe {is} the preciousness; but to the disobedient, the stone which the builders cast away as worthless, this is become head of {the} corner,
Ní canéé nguūⁿ na libro yeⁿ'é Ndyuūs táámá chi 'tíícā:
and a stone of stumbling and rock of offence; {who} stumble at the word, being disobedient to which also they have been appointed.
Ndís'tiī ní yeⁿ'e 'iiⁿ'yāⁿ chi Ndyuūs ndɛɛvɛ́ yā. Ndís'tiī ní chiiduú yeⁿ'e Ndyuūs chi Rey. Ndís'tiī ní yeⁿ'e ndaata dɛɛvɛ́. Ndís'tiī ní yeⁿ'e Ndyuūs ndís'tiī. 11 Beloved, I exhort {you}, as strangers and sojourners, to abstain from fleshly lusts, which war against the soul;
'Cuɛɛtinéé n'daaca nī nguaaⁿ 'iiⁿ'yāⁿ chi nguɛ́ɛ́ i'téénu yā nduudu cuaacu yeⁿ'é Ndyuūs. 12 having your conversation honest among the Gentiles, that {as to that} in which they speak against you as evildoers, they may through {your} good works, {themselves} witnessing {them}, glorify God in {the} day of visitation.

or to rulers as sent by him, for vengeance on evildoers, and praise to them that do well.
Ti chuū ní chiiⁿ chi Ndyuūs neⁿ'é yā chi diíⁿ nī. Ní cáávā chi ndís'tiī din'daacá nī, 'iiⁿ'yāⁿ chi zonzo yā ní nguɛ́ɛ́ deenu yā nguɛ́ɛ́ cuuvi caaⁿ'máⁿ yā dɛ'ɛ̄ vɛɛ contra yeⁿ'e ndís'tiī.

as free, and not as having liberty as a cloak of malice, but as God's bondmen.
Ní diíⁿ nī honrar nducyaaca 'iiⁿ'yāⁿ. Ní dinéⁿ'e nī nducyaaca hermanos yeⁿ'e yú. 'Va'á nī Ndyuūs ní diíⁿ nī honrar emperador chi 'iiⁿntyéⁿ'ē.

For this {is} acceptable, if one, for conscience sake towards God, endure griefs, suffering unjustly.
¿Dɛ'ɛ̄ ch'ɛɛtɛ chuū nduuti chi n'geenú nī ngii ti vɛ́ɛ́ nuuⁿndi yeⁿ'é nī ni 'tíícā castigo yeⁿ'é nī, ní ichɛ́ɛ nī? Nguɛ́ɛ́ ch'ɛɛtɛ chuū. Naati nduuti chi n'geenu nī ngii ti n'daacā idiíⁿ nī ni ngiinū ngiinū cuchɛɛ nī tuu'mi ní Ndyuūs nadi'viicú yā ndís'tiī.
For what glory {is it}, if sinning and being buffeted ye shall bear {it}? but if, doing good and suffering, ye shall bear {it}, this is acceptable with God.
Ní yaa'ví yā ndís'tiī caavā chi diíⁿ nī 'tíícā. Cristo 'āā ch'eenú yā chiī cáávā s'uuúⁿ ní s'neéⁿ yā 'áámá ejemplo yeⁿ'e yú. Ní s'uuúⁿ canéé chi 'tííca nūuⁿ diiⁿ yú tan'dúúcā chi diíⁿ yā.

who, {when} reviled, reviled not again; {when} suffering, threatened not; but gave {himself} over into the hands of him who judges righteously;
Cristo maáⁿ yā candɛɛ yā nuuⁿndi yeⁿ'e yú na cuerpo yeⁿ'e maáⁿ yā taachi ch'īi yā na cruz. Ní 'íícú s'uuúⁿ ní cuuvi diiⁿ yú tan'dúúcā chi n'dii yú yeⁿ'e nuuⁿndi yeⁿ'e yú. 24 who himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, in order that, being dead to sins, we may live to righteousness: by whose stripes ye have been healed.
Tiempo chi chó'ōo s'uuúⁿ ní tan'dúúcā 'iiti cuūchī chi nindai tī 'tíícā s'uuúⁿ naati maaⁿ ní ndaa yú nanááⁿ Cristo chi candɛ́ɛ yā cuidado s'uuúⁿ tan'duucā 'áámá pastor. Cristo ní candɛ́ɛ yā cuidado alma yeⁿ'e yú.
For ye were going astray as sheep, but have now returned to the shepherd and overseer of your souls.
