¹ တစ်ဖန် ယေဇူးသည် ပုံဥပမာများအားဖြင့် သူ တို့အား မိန့်တော်မူသည်မှာ၊-

¹ Jesus tornou a falar-lhes por meio de parábolas:

² ကောင်းကင်နိုင်ငံ တော်ကို မိမိသားအတွက် မင်္ဂလာဆောင်ပွဲကျင်းပပေး သောရှင်ဘုရင်နှင့်ပုံခိုင်းနှိုင်းနိုင်၏။-

² The kingdom of the heavens has become like a king who made a wedding feast for his son,

³ ဘုရင်သည် မင်္ဂလာ ဆောင်ပွဲသို့ ဖိတ်ကြားထားသူတို့အား ခေါ်ဆောင်လာရန် မိမိ၏အစေခံများကို စေလွှတ်လိုက်သော်လည်း ထိုသူ တို့သည် လိုက်မလာဘဲနေကြ၏။-

³ and sent his bondmen to call the persons invited to the wedding feast, and they would not come.

⁴ တစ်ဖန် အခြားသော အစေခံများကိုစေလွှတ်လျက် ဖိတ်ကြားထားသူတို့အား ပြောကြားလော့၊ ငါသည် ငါ၏ညစာစားပွဲကို ခင်းကျင်းပြီး လေပြီ၊ ငါ၏နွားများနှင့် ဆူဖြိုးသောတိရစ္ဆာန်များကို သတ် ထားလေပြီ၊ အစစအရာရာအသင့်ရှိပြီဖြစ်၍ မင်္ဂလာပွဲသို့ ကြွကြပါဟု ပြောရန်မှာလိုက်လေ၏။-

⁴ Again he sent other bondmen, saying, Say to the persons invited, Behold, I have prepared my dinner; my oxen and my fatted beasts are killed, and all things ready; come to the wedding feast.

⁵ သို့သော် ထိုသူတို့ သည် ဤအမှုကိုအလေးမထားကြဘဲ တစ်ဦးသည် မိမိ ၏လယ်သို့လည်းကောင်း၊ အခြားတစ်ဦးသည်လည်း မိမိ လုပ်ငန်းရှိရာသို့လည်းကောင်း ထွက်သွားကြ၏။-

⁵ But they made light of it, and went, one to his own land, and another to his commerce.

⁶ ကျန် သောသူတို့မူကား သူ၏အစေခံတို့ကိုဖမ်းဆီး၍ အရှက် တကွဲဖြစ်အောင်ပြုမူကြပြီးလျှင် သတ်ဖြတ်ကြလေ၏။-

⁶ And the rest, laying hold of his bondmen, ill-treated and slew {them}.

⁷ ဘုရင်သည် အမျက်ထွက်သဖြင့် မိမိ၏တပ်များကို စေ လွှတ်၍ ထိုလူသတ်သမားတို့ကို သုတ်သင်ပြီးလျှင် သူ တို့၏မြို့ကို မီးရှို့ ဖျက်ဆီးလေ၏။-

⁷ And {when} the king {heard of it he} was wroth, and having sent his forces, destroyed those murderers and burned their city.

⁸ ထို့နောက် သူက မိမိ၏ အစေခံတို့အား ဆိုသည်မှာ မင်္ဂလာပွဲသည် အသင့်ရှိပြီ။ သို့သော် ခေါ်ဖိတ်ခြင်းခံရသောသူတို့သည် ပွဲနှင့်မထိုက် တန်ကြ။-

⁸ Then he says to his bondmen, The wedding feast is ready, but those invited were not worthy;

⁹ ထို့ကြောင့် လမ်းဆုံလမ်းမများသို့ သင်တို့ သွားကြ၍ တွေ့လေသမျှသောသူတို့ကို မင်္ဂလာပွဲသို့ခေါ် ဖိတ်ကြလော့ဟုဆို၏။-

⁹ go therefore into the thoroughfares of the highways, and as many as ye shall find invite to the wedding feast.

¹⁰ ထိုအစေခံတို့သည်လည်း လမ်း များပေါ်သို့ထွက်သွားကြ၍ အဆိုးအကောင်းမခွဲခြားဘဲ တွေ့သမျှသောလူတို့ကို စုရုံးခေါ်ဆောင်ခဲ့ကြသဖြင့် မင်္ဂလာဆောင်ပွဲသည် ဧည့်သည်များနှင့်ပြည့်လျက်ရှိ၏။

¹⁰ And those bondmen went out into the highways, and brought together all as many as they found, both evil and good; and the wedding feast was furnished with guests.

¹¹ သို့သော် ဘုရင်သည် ဧည့်သည်များကိုကြည့်ရှုရန် ကြွလာသောအခါ ထိုနေရာ၌ မင်္ဂလာအခမ်းအနားဝတ်စုံ ကို ဝတ်ဆင် မထားသောသူတစ်ဦးကိုမြင်လျှင်၊-

¹¹ And the king, having gone in to see the guests, beheld there a man not clothed with a wedding garment.

¹² ထိုသူ အား မိတ်ဆွေ၊ မင်္ဂလာပွဲဝတ်စုံမဝတ်ဆင်ဘဲ အဘယ် ကြောင့်ဤနေရာသို့ဝင်လာသနည်းဟု မေးလေ၏။ ထို သူသည် စကားတစ်ခွန်းကိုမျှ ပြန်၍မပြောနိုင်ချေ။-

¹² And he says to him, {My} friend, how camest thou in here not having on a wedding garment? But he was speechless.

¹³ ထို အခါ ဘုရင်က မင်းလုလင်တို့အား ဤသူ၏ခြေနှင့် လက် တို့ကို ချည်နှောင်၍ အပြင်ဘက်အမှောင်ထဲသို့ ပစ်ချကြ လော့။ ထိုနေရာ၌ ငိုကြွေး၍ အံကြိတ်ရလိမ့်မည်ဟု ဆို လေ၏။-

¹³ Then said the king to the servants, Bind him feet and hands, and take him away, and cast him out into the outer darkness: there shall be the weeping and the gnashing of teeth.

¹⁴ အကြောင်းမူကား ခေါ်တော်မူခြင်းခံရသောသူ တို့မှာ များပြားသော်လည်း ရွေးကောက်ခြင်းခံရသော သူတို့မူကား နည်းကြ၏ဟု မိန့်တော်မူ၏။

¹⁴ For many are called ones, but few chosen ones.

¹⁵ ထို့နောက် ဖာရီဇေးဦးတို့သည် ထွက်သွားပြီးလျှင် ကိုယ်တော်ပြောဆိုသောစကားအပေါ် မည်သို့အပြစ် ရှာရမည့်အကြောင်း တိုင်ပင်ကြ၏။-

¹⁶ သူတို့သည် မိမိတို့ ၏တပည့်များကို ဟေရုဒ်၏ဘက်တော်သားများနှင့်အတူ အထံတော်သို့စေလွှတ်ကြ၍ ဆရာသခင်၊ ကိုယ်တော် သည် သစ္စာသမာဓိရှိသူဖြစ်ပြီး လူ့မျက်နှာကိုမထောက်၊ အဆင့်အတန်းလည်း မခွဲခြားဘဲ ဘုရားသခင်၏တရား တော်ကို မှန်ကန်စွာ သွန်သင်သောသူဖြစ်ကြောင်းကို အကျွန်ုပ်တို့သိရှိကြပါ၏။-

¹⁶ And they send out to him their disciples with the Herodians, saying, Teacher, we know that thou art true and teachest the way of God in truth, and carest not for any one, for thou regardest not men's person;

¹⁷ သို့ဖြစ်၍ ကိုယ်တော်သည် မည်သို့ထင်မြင်ပါသနည်း။ ဆီဇာဘုရင်အား အခွန်တော် ဆက်သအပ်သလော၊ မဆက်သအပ် သလော၊ အကျွန်ုပ် တို့အား မိန့်တော်မူပါဟု မေးလျှောက်ကြ၏။-

¹⁷ tell us therefore what thou thinkest: Is it lawful to give tribute to Caesar, or not?

¹⁸ သို့သော် ယေဇူးသည် သူတို့၏ကောက်ကျစ်သောအကြံအစည် ကိုသိမြင်သဖြင့် မိန့်တော်မူသည်ကား သူတော်ကောင်း ယောင်ဆောင်သူတို့၊ အဘယ်ကြောင့် ငါ့ကို ကောက်ကျစ်စွာစမ်းသပ်ကြသနည်း။-

¹⁸ But Jesus, knowing their wickedness, said, Why tempt ye me, hypocrites?

¹⁹ အခွန်ဆောင်သောဒင်္ဂါး တစ်ပြားကို ငါ့အားပြကြလော့ဟု မိန့်တော်မူ၏။ ထိုအခါ သူတို့သည် ကိုယ်တော်အား ဒေနာရီတစ်ပြား ကို ထုတ်ပေးကြ၏။-

¹⁹ Shew me the money of the tribute. And they presented to him a denarius.

²⁰ ယေဇူးကလည်း ဤပုံနှင့် ကမ္ပည်းစာသည် မည်သူ၏ပုံနှင့် မည်သူ၏ကမ္ပည်းစာဖြစ်သနည်းဟု သူ တို့အား မေးတော်မူ၏။-

²⁰ And he says to them, Whose {is} this image and superscription?

²¹ ထိုသူတို့ကလည်း ဆီဇာဘုရင် ၏ပုံနှင့် သူ၏ကမ္ပည်းစာဖြစ်ပါသည်ဟု လျှောက်ကြ၏။ ထိုအခါ ကိုယ်တော်က သို့ဖြစ်လျှင် ဆီဇာနှင့်ဆိုင်ရာကို ဆီဇာအားလည်းကောင်း၊ ဘုရားသခင်နှင့်ဆိုင်ရာကို ဘုရားသခင်အားလည်းကောင်း ပေးဆက်ကြလော့ဟု မိန့်တော်မူ၏။-

²¹ They say to him, Caesar's. Then he says to them, Pay then what is Caesar's to Caesar, and what is God's to God.

²² ထိုသူတို့သည် ဤစကားကိုကြားလျှင် အံ့ဩကြ၍ အထံတော်မှ ထွက်သွားကြလေ၏။

²² And when they heard {him}, they wondered, and left him, and went away.

²³ သေရာမှ ရှင်ပြန်ထမြောက်ခြင်းကို လက်မခံကြ သောဇာဒူခေးဦးတို့သည် ထိုနေ့၌ပင် အထံတော်သို့ ချဉ်း ကပ်ကြ၍ ကိုယ်တော့်ကို မေးလျှောက်ကြသည်ကား၊-

²³ — ausente —

²⁴ ဆရာသခင်၊ လူတစ်ဦးသည် သားသမီးမထွန်းကားဘဲ သေဆုံးခဲ့လျှင် သူ၏အမျိုးအနွယ်ဆက်လက်တည်တံ့ စေခြင်းငှာ သူ၏ညီဖြစ်သူသည် ထိုမုဆိုးမကိုယူစေဟု မိုးဇက်သွန်သင်ခဲ့ပါ၏။-

²⁴ saying, Teacher, Moses said, If any one die, not having children, his brother shall marry his wife and shall raise up seed to his brother.

²⁵ အကျွန်ုပ်တို့အလယ်တွင် ညီ အစ်ကိုခုနစ်ယောက်ရှိခဲ့ပါ၏။ အစ်ကိုအကြီးဆုံးသည် အိမ်ထောင်ပြုပြီး သားသမီးမရဘဲ သေဆုံးသွားသော ကြောင့် သူ၏ဇနီးကို ညီဖြစ်သူနှင့်အိမ်ထောင်ဆက်စေ ခဲ့ပါ၏။-

²⁵ Now there were with us seven brethren; and the first having married died, and not having seed, left his wife to his brother.

²⁶ ဒုတိယညီနှင့် တတိယညီမှစ၍ သတ္တမညီတိုင် အောင် ထိုနည်းအတိုင်းသေဆုံးခဲ့ကြပါ၏။-

²⁶ In like manner also the second and the third, unto the seven.

²⁷ နောက်ဆုံး ၌ ထိုမိန်းမသည်လည်း သေဆုံးခဲ့ပါ၏။-

²⁷ And last of all the woman also died.

²⁸ သို့ဖြစ်လျှင် ရှင်ပြန်ထမြောက်သောကာလ၌ သူမသည် ထိုသူခုနစ် ယောက်တို့အနက် မည်သူ၏ဇနီးဖြစ်မည်နည်း။ အဘယ် ကြောင့်ဆိုသော် ထိုသူအားလုံးတို့သည် သူမနှင့်စုံဖက်ခဲ့ ကြပါပြီဟု လျှောက်ကြ၏။

²⁸ In the resurrection therefore of which of the seven shall she be wife, for all had her?

²⁹ ယေဇူးကလည်း သင်တို့သည် ကျမ်းစာတော်မြတ် ကိုလည်း နားမလည်၊ ဘုရားသခင်၏တန်ခိုးတော်ကို လည်း မသိကြ သောကြောင့် အယူလွဲမှားကြ၏။-

²⁹ And Jesus answering said to them, Ye err, not knowing the scriptures nor the power of God.

³⁰ အ ကြောင်းမူကား ရှင်ပြန်ထမြောက်သောကာလ၌ လူတို့ သည် ထိမ်းမြားခြင်းလည်းမပြု၊ ပေးစားခြင်းလည်း မခံကြ ရဘဲ ကောင်းကင်ဘုံ၌ ဘုရားသခင်၏ကောင်းကင်တမန် တော်များကဲ့သို့ဖြစ်ကြလိမ့်မည်။-

³⁰ For in the resurrection they neither marry nor are given in marriage, but are as angels of God in heaven.

³¹ သေလွန်သောသူတို့ ၏ရှင်ပြန်ထမြောက်ခြင်းအကြောင်းနှင့်ပတ်သက်၍ သင် တို့အား ဘုရားသခင်မိန့်မှာတော်မူချက်ကို သင်တို့မဖတ် ဖူးကြသလော။-

³¹ Quanto à ressurreição dos mortos, não lestes o que Deus vos disse:

³² မိန့်မှာတော်မူချက်ကား ငါသည် အာဘ ရာဟံ၏ဘုရား၊ အီဇတ်၏ဘုရား၊ ယာကုပ်၏ဘုရားဖြစ် တော်မူ၏ ဟူသတည်း။ ကိုယ်တော်သည် သေသောသူ တို့၏ဘုရားမဟုတ်၊ အသက်ရှင်သောသူတို့၏ဘုရား ဖြစ်၏ဟု ပြန်လည်မိန့်ကြားတော်မူ၏။-

³² Eu sou o Deus de Abraão, o Deus de Isaac e o Deus de Jacó {Ex 3,6}? Ora, ele não é Deus dos mortos, mas Deus dos vivos.

³³ လူအစုအဝေးတို့ သည်လည်း ထိုစကားကိုကြားသောအခါ ကိုယ်တော်၏ သွန်သင်တော်မူချက်ကို အလွန်အံ့အားသင့်ကြလေ၏။

³³ E, ouvindo esta doutrina, as turbas se enchiam de grande admiração.

³⁴ ယေဇူးသည် ဇာဒူခေးဦးတို့မချေပနိုင်အောင် ဤသို့ ဖြေကြားတော်မူသည်ကို ဖာရီဇေးဦးတို့ ကြားလျှင် အထံ တော်သို့စုဝေး လာကြ၏။-

³⁴ Sabendo os fariseus que Jesus reduzira ao silêncio os saduceus, reuniram-se

³⁵ ၎င်းတို့အထဲမှ ကျမ်းတတ် ဆရာတစ်ဦးသည် ကိုယ်တော့်ကို စမ်းသပ်လိုသဖြင့်၊-

³⁵ e um deles, doutor da lei, fez-lhe esta pergunta para pô-lo à prova:

³⁶ ဆရာသခင်၊ ပညတ်တရားကျမ်း၌ အဘယ်ပညတ်သည် အကြီးမြတ်ဆုံးဖြစ်ပါသနည်းဟု ကိုယ်တော်အား မေး လျှောက်လေ၏။-

³⁶ Mestre, qual é o maior mandamento da lei?

³⁷ ကိုယ်တော်ကလည်း သင်၏အရှင် ထာ၀ရဘုရားသခင်ကို သင်၏နှလုံးအကြွင်းမဲ့၊ စိတ်အား ရှိသမျှ၊ ဉာဏ်စွမ်းရှိသမျှနှင့် ချစ်လော့။-

³⁷ Respondeu Jesus: Amarás o Senhor teu Deus de todo teu coração, de toda tua alma e de todo teu espírito {Dt 6,5}.

³⁸ ဤသည်ကား အကြီးမြတ်ဆုံးနှင့် ပထမပညတ်ဖြစ်၏။-

³⁸ Este é o maior e o primeiro mandamento.

³⁹ ဒုတိယပညတ် သည်ကား ပထမပညတ်နည်းတူဖြစ်၍ သင်နှင့်နီးစပ် သောသူကို သင့်ကိုယ်သင်ချစ်သကဲ့သို့ ချစ်လော့ဟု လာ၏။-

³⁹ E o segundo, semelhante a este, é: Amarás teu próximo como a ti mesmo {Lv 19,18}.

⁴⁰ ပညတ်တရားကျမ်းနှင့် ပရောဖက်ကျမ်းရှိသမျှ တို့သည် ဤပညတ်နှစ်ပါးအပေါ်တွင် အခြေခံသည်ဟု သူ့အား မိန့်တော်မူ၏။

⁴² သင်တို့သည် ခရစ်တော်ကို မည်ကဲ့သို့ ထင်မြင်ယူဆ ကြသနည်း၊ သူသည် မည်သူ၏သားဖြစ် သနည်းဟူသောမေးခွန်းကိုမေးတော်မူလျှင် သူတို့က ဒါဝိဒ်၏သားတော်ဖြစ်ပါသည်ဟု ပြန်ဖြေကြ၏။-

⁴² Que pensais vós de Cristo? De quem é filho? Responderam: De Davi!

⁴³ ကိုယ် တော်ကလည်း သို့ဖြစ်လျှင် ဒါဝိဒ်သည် ဝိညာဉ်တော်၏ နှိုးဆော်ခြင်းအားဖြင့် သူ့အား သခင်ဟုအဘယ်ကြောင့် ခေါ်သနည်း။-

⁴³ Como então, prosseguiu Jesus, Davi, falando sob inspiração do Espírito, chama-o Senhor, dizendo:

⁴⁴ သူကဆိုခဲ့သည်မှာ ထာ၀ရဘုရားသခင် က ငါ၏သခင်အား သင်၏ရန်သူတို့ကို သင်၏ခြေဖဝါး အောက်၌ ငါမချထားမီ တိုင်အောင် ငါ၏လက်ယာဘက်၌ ထိုင်လော့ဟု မိန့်တော်မူသည်ဟူ၍ဖြစ်သတည်း။-

⁴⁴ O Senhor disse a meu Senhor: Senta-te à minha direita, até que eu ponha teus inimigos por escabelo dos teus pés {Sl 109,1}?

⁴⁵ ဤသို့ဖြင့် ဒါဝိဒ်သည် ခရစ်တော်ကို သခင်ဟူ၍ခေါ်လျှင် သူသည် မည်ကဲ့သို့ သူ၏သားတော်ဖြစ်မည်နည်းဟု မေး တော်မူလေ၏။-

⁴⁵ Se, pois, Davi o chama Senhor, como é ele seu filho?

⁴⁶ ထိုအခါ မည်သူမျှ ကိုယ်တော်အား စကားတစ်ခွန်းကိုမျှ ပြန်မဖြေနိုင်ကြ။ ထိုနေ့မှစ၍ မည်သူ ကမျှ ကိုယ်တော့်ကို နောက်တစ်ဖန် မေးခွန်းများမမေးဝံ့ တော့ချေ။

⁴⁶ Ninguém pôde responder-lhe nada. E, depois daquele dia, ninguém mais ousou interrogá-lo.
