2 “Nkamlɛn ḿ mín ńdé nɛ̂ŋgáne kə̂ŋ pɔ́g echě enláá ábē bembəledɛ aá béboŋsɛn ngande e eʼwóŋgé ábe awé mwǎn a mwɛnchóm.
2 The kingdom of the heavens has become like a king who made a wedding feast for his son,
3 Ene kə̂ŋ-ʼɛ anlóm ábē bembəledɛ aá békɛ béchəg bad ábe álébpé áyə̄le ene ngande, boŋ ábê bad bénkênkwɛntɛ́nné apɛ.
3 and sent his bondmen to call the persons invited to the wedding feast, and they would not come.
4 Hɛ́ɛ álómɛɛ́ bembəledɛ bémpēe aá béláa bad ábe mɔ́lébpé nɛ́n bán, ‘Nyêbíí nɛ́n bán, mmaá nyag ne eʼlem ábe éʼbóó yə̌l awúu. Chǒm ésyə̄ə̄l-lɛ édé mboŋsɛ́n, nyéhyag-kɔɔ́ á ngande.’
4 Again he sent other bondmen, saying, Say to the persons invited, Behold, I have prepared my dinner; my oxen and my fatted beasts are killed, and all things ready; come to the wedding feast.
5 Boŋ ké nɛ̂ ábê bad ábe bénlēbɛ̄ɛ̄ bénkêntédté ḿmê nlébtéd nɛ́ɛ dyam. Mod tɛ́ɛ́ ahídéʼáá ḿmē ntíi ámbīd. Behɔ́g bênkɛ̌ áwāb nzag-tê, ábíníí béhīdē ḿmab nsɔ́n mémpēe ámbīd.
5 But they made light of it, and went, one to his own land, and another to his commerce.
6 Ábíníí-ʼɛ bénkōb ábê bembəledɛ, bébɔm bɔ́, béwúú-ʼɛ bɔ́.
6 And the rest, laying hold of his bondmen, ill-treated and slew {them}.
7 Ene kə̂ŋ enlǐŋ bwâmbwam. Né-ɔɔ́, anlóm éche sə́nze. Nɛ́ɛ épédé, éwūū bad ábe bénwūū ábê bembəledɛ, éhyāād-tɛ ábê bad dyad.
7 And {when} the king {heard of it he} was wroth, and having sent his forces, destroyed those murderers and burned their city.
8 Dɔ́ɔ álâŋgɛɛ́ ábē bembəledɛ bémpēe aá, ‘Ngande e eʼwóŋgé emaá mboŋsɛ́n abɛ́, boŋ bad ábe ńlébpé béekwognedɛɛ́ chɔ́ abɛ́ ásē.
8 Then he says to his bondmen, The wedding feast is ready, but those invited were not worthy;
9 Bɔɔb-pɔɔ́, nyékag á mbom ń nzii á dyad-tê, nyéchɛ́le bad bésyə̄ə̄l ábe bényíné bán, béhyag á ngande.’
9 go therefore into the thoroughfares of the highways, and as many as ye shall find invite to the wedding feast.
10 Né-ɔɔ́ ábê bembəledɛ bênkɛ̌ á dyad-tê, bélād bad bésyə̄ə̄l ábe bényīnnē, ken mod a bwâm kéʼɛ mod a mbéb, kə́ə́ŋ ndáb e ngande enlɔ́g áte.
10 And those bondmen went out into the highways, and brought together all as many as they found, both evil and good; and the wedding feast was furnished with guests.
11 “Kə̂ŋ empɛ̌ á ndáb-te ânɔn bad ábe bépédé á ngande. Áde ápédé anyín mod awě enkênhɛ́ asaŋ áde ántə̄ŋgɛ̄nnē ahɛ́ á ngande e eʼwóŋgé.
11 And the king, having gone in to see the guests, beheld there a man not clothed with a wedding garment.
12 Hɛ́ɛ ásɛdtɛɛ́ mɔ́ aá, ‘Amúɛ̄, chán émwédé apɛ hɛ́n áde wéēhēdɛɛ́ asaŋ á ngande e eʼwóŋgé.’ Boŋ ane mod enkênhɔ́bpé dyamdyam.
12 And he says to him, {My} friend, how camest thou in here not having on a wedding garment? But he was speechless.
13 Dɔ́ɔ kə̂ŋ élâŋgɛɛ́ ábē bembəledɛ ábe béchágtéʼáá beken aá, ‘Nyéhaŋ mɔ́ mekáá ne mekuu, nyébwêm mɔ́ á ebwɔ́g, á ehíntɛ́n-tê. Áhed-taá béchyɛɛ́ʼɛ́, bédyāg-kɛ mesoŋ á nsəl.’ ”
13 Then said the king to the servants, Bind him feet and hands, and take him away, and cast him out into the outer darkness: there shall be the weeping and the gnashing of teeth.
14 Hɛ́ɛ Yesuɛ ásógtɛɛ́ enɛ́n ngan ne eʼyale nɛ́n aá, “Dyǒb áchɛ̂nleʼ bad híin âbɛ́ ásē e nkamlɛn ḿmē, boŋ nguse chɔ́ɔ épwɛdnéd.”
14 For many are called ones, but few chosen ones.
15 Ébédé póndé pɔ́g echě Befarisia bênkɛɛ́ mbom, âhəge Yesuɛ, âbɛl békóbɛn mɔ́ awusé tɛ̂ŋgɛne eʼyale ábe bɛ́bīd mɔ́ á nsəl.
15 — ausente —
16 Bénlōm ábāb bembapɛɛ nchoo ne bad bé epepé éche Hɛrɔdɛ wɛ́ɛ Yesuɛ. Nɛ́ɛ bépédé áwē, bélāŋgē mɔ́ nɛ́n bán, “A-meléed, sêbíí nɛ́n bán, ekale mbále. Sêbíí-ʼɛ ámpē nɛ́n bán, ayə́ge ádōŋ tə̂ŋgɛne mbéndé e Dyǒb ádé mbále. Mewêmtɛn mé bad ne eʼsó éʼ mbɔm éʼ bad béehəŋlánné ádôŋ ayə́ged.
16 And they send out to him their disciples with the Herodians, saying, Teacher, we know that thou art true and teachest the way of God in truth, and carest not for any one, for thou regardest not men's person;
17 Láá-ʼɛ sé ngáne ényíné ádɛ́n akan. Mbéndé eche syánē ehɔ́be nɛ́n bán désaŋgeʼ táásɛ wɛ́ɛ Kaisɛɛ, kə̂ŋ e Roma-yɛ?”
17 tell us therefore what thou thinkest: Is it lawful to give tribute to Caesar, or not?
18 Boŋ Yesuɛ ambíí ḿmab mewêmtɛn mé mbéb. Né-ɔɔ́ ansɛdéd bɔ́ aáken, “Nyé bedog-badɛ́, cheé nyéhəgkɛɛ́ mɛ?
18 But Jesus, knowing their wickedness, said, Why tempt ye me, hypocrites?
19 Nyélúmed mɛ mɔné ḿme bésaŋnadté táásɛ eched.” Bêmpiinéd mɔ́ mɔné mé ekii.
19 Shew me the money of the tribute. And they presented to him a denarius.
20 Dɔ́ɔ ásɛ́dté bɔ́ aáken, “Ediídiŋgɛ éche nzɛ́ɛ́ chɛ́n? Dǐn áde nzɛ́ɛ́-ʼɛ dɛ́n?”
20 And he says to them, Whose {is} this image and superscription?
21 Bênkwɛntɛ́n mɔ́ bán, “Ábe Kaisɛɛ.” Dɔ́ɔ álâŋgɛɛ́ bɔ́ aá, “Nyébag-kɔɔ́ Kaisɛɛ éche édé éche Kaisɛɛ, nyébag-kɛ Dyǒb éche édé é Dyǒb.”
21 They say to him, Caesar's. Then he says to them, Pay then what is Caesar's to Caesar, and what is God's to God.
22 Áde béwógé nɛ̂, yə̌l enkɔ́m bɔ́ áte. Né-ɔɔ́ bênhidé áhed, békɛ̄-ʼɛ.
22 And when they heard {him}, they wondered, and left him, and went away.
23 Échê epun chěn doŋge á Besadusia bêmpɛ̌ wɛ́ɛ Yesuɛ. Besadusia béndūbē bán mpuu méesaá ámbīd e kwééd.
23 — ausente —
24 Dɔ́ɔ béhɔ́bɛɛ́ bán, “A-meléed, mbéndé e Mosɛɛ ehɔ́be nɛ́n bán, ‘Nzé mod awóó mmwaád boŋ awédé áde bɔ́ ane mmwaád béepedɛɛ́ mwǎn awále, mwǎnyaŋ a abum ahɔ́g atə́ŋgɛ́né ane nkúd awóŋ, âbɛl boŋ dǐn áde mwǎnyaŋ déēbɔ̄ɔ̄ʼ.’
24 saying, Teacher, Moses said, If any one die, not having children, his brother shall marry his wife and shall raise up seed to his brother.
25 Bɔɔb-pɔɔ́, bad bébédé hɛ́n mod saámbé ábe bémbīd abum ahɔ́g. Mod aʼsó anwóŋ mmwaád, boŋ awɛ́ áde bɔ́ mmwaád ne béepedɛɛ́ bǎn awále, né-ɔɔ́ mwǎnyaŋ awě anhíd mɔ́ anlyəgnéd ane nkúd a mmwaád.
25 Now there were with us seven brethren; and the first having married died, and not having seed, left his wife to his brother.
26 Ane mɔ́mpē anwɛ́ áde bɔ́ ane mmwaád béepedɛɛ́ bǎn awále. Melemlem mé dyam mêmbɛnléd ne awě alóntɛ́né béláán, kə́ə́ŋ bébōm bɔ́ mod saámbé.
26 In like manner also the second and the third, unto the seven.
27 Kə́ə́ŋne á asóg ane mmwaád mɔ́mpē anwɛ́.
27 And last of all the woman also died.
28 Bɔɔb-pɔɔ́ á póndé e mpuu, mmwaád awě nzɛ́ɛ́ ane mmwaád áchəgnédté áyə̄le bɔ́ moosyəə́l saámbé bénwōŋ mɔ́?”
28 In the resurrection therefore of which of the seven shall she be wife, for all had her?
29 Yesuɛ antimtɛ́n bɔ́ aá, “Nyêpaneʼ áyə̄le nyéesôŋtɛnɛɛ́ chǒm éche eyale é Dyǒb éhɔ́bɛɛ́, nyéesôŋtɛnɛɛ́-ʼɛ ngáne ngíne e Dyǒb ésógé abɛ́.
29 And Jesus answering said to them, Ye err, not knowing the scriptures nor the power of God.
30 Áyə̄le póndé echě bad bɛ́puúʼɛ́ ámbīd e kwééd mewóŋgé méebáá ámpē. Bad bɛ́bē nɛ̂ŋgáne ángɛl éche édé ámīn, béewóŋnɛ́ɛ́.
30 For in the resurrection they neither marry nor are given in marriage, but are as angels of God in heaven.
35 Hɛ̂ dɔ́ɔ bɔ́ mod nhɔ́g awě abédé meléede a mbéndé, áhyédé Yesuɛ akəg, ásɛdté mɔ́ aá,
