¹⁰ who once {were} not a people, but now God's people; who were not enjoying mercy, but now have found mercy.

¹¹ Beloved, I exhort {you}, as strangers and sojourners, to abstain from fleshly lusts, which war against the soul;

¹² having your conversation honest among the Gentiles, that {as to that} in which they speak against you as evildoers, they may through {your} good works, {themselves} witnessing {them}, glorify God in {the} day of visitation.

¹⁴ or to rulers as sent by him, for vengeance on evildoers, and praise to them that do well.

¹⁵ Godeya꞉lo꞉ asulabo꞉ we. Man nafa gililo꞉ dimida꞉lab a꞉ma꞉yo꞉, asugdo꞉ma kaluwa꞉lo꞉ gimo꞉lo꞉ diga꞉li sa꞉lab a꞉no꞉ a꞉ma꞉la꞉bo꞉ mo꞉sama꞉ki gab. A꞉la꞉fo꞉ko꞉lo꞉ gio꞉ gamani bo꞉fo꞉lowan kaluwa꞉ ha꞉ga dowa꞉bi.

¹⁵ Because so is the will of God, that by well-doing ye put to silence the ignorance of senseless men;

¹⁷ Shew honour to all, love the brotherhood, fear God, honour the king.

Bo꞉fo꞉lab kalu abeyo꞉ gi o꞉lia꞉lo꞉ ha꞉sa dowakilo꞉, nafale dimidab a꞉no꞉leko꞉ so꞉lo꞉lba. Bo꞉fo꞉lab kalu abeyo꞉ gio꞉ halaido꞉ bo꞉fo꞉likilo꞉ mogago꞉lo꞉ dimida꞉lab i a꞉ma꞉ ha꞉ga dowa꞉lubi.

¹⁸ Servants, {be} subject with all fear to your masters, not only to the good and gentle, but also to the ill-tempered.

¹⁹ Giyo꞉ man halayo꞉ mo꞉dimido꞉ a꞉namio꞉, bo꞉fo꞉lowan kalu gilo꞉ma꞉yo꞉ hida꞉yo꞉ nagalo꞉wo꞉ gemo꞉ madali dimialega, gi asulo꞉wo꞉ Godemo꞉ tililia꞉ ha꞉na꞉melea꞉ki ta꞉taki, nagalo꞉ a꞉no꞉ dia꞉i ha꞉na꞉lubi. A꞉la꞉dimidalega Gode eyo꞉ man dimidab a꞉no꞉ ba꞉da꞉sa꞉ga꞉yo꞉, gio꞉ sagale alifa꞉ib.

¹⁹ For this {is} acceptable, if one, for conscience sake towards God, endure griefs, suffering unjustly.

²⁰ Mo꞉wo꞉ giyo꞉ man mogago꞉wo꞉ dimidalega, gelo꞉ bo꞉fo꞉lab kaluwa꞉yo꞉ ge o꞉li yamela꞉ma꞉ib. Eyo꞉ ge sa꞉ndalikiyo꞉ ge ha꞉sa dowaki, hida꞉yo꞉ a꞉no꞉ dia꞉i ha꞉na꞉lalega, “Ne hida꞉yo꞉ we ha꞉sa elena dio꞉l ko꞉lo꞉ ne kalu nafale,” a꞉la꞉bo꞉ asula꞉so꞉bo. Mo꞉wo꞉ hida꞉yo꞉ a꞉no꞉ go꞉no꞉ndo꞉ dimido꞉ a꞉na iliki diab. Ko꞉sega giyo꞉ man nafale dimido꞉ amio꞉, ge nagalo꞉wo꞉ madali dia꞉sa꞉ga꞉ ge ha꞉sa dofo꞉liki hida꞉yo꞉ a꞉no꞉ dia꞉i ha꞉na꞉lalega, Gode eyo꞉ gilo꞉ man nafa dimidab a꞉no꞉ ba꞉da꞉sa꞉ga꞉yo꞉ sagale alifa꞉ib.

²⁰ For what glory {is it}, if sinning and being buffeted ye shall bear {it}? but if, doing good and suffering, ye shall bear {it}, this is acceptable with God.

²¹ For to this have ye been called; for Christ also has suffered for you, leaving you a model that ye should follow in his steps:

²² who did no sin, neither was guile found in his mouth;

²³ who, {when} reviled, reviled not again; {when} suffering, threatened not; but gave {himself} over into the hands of him who judges righteously;
