Tiago 3
Bible in Basic English (BBE) vs AAI
1 Do not all be teachers, my brothers, because we teachers will be judged more hardly than others.
1 Taitu men moumur na’in bai’obaiyenayah mataramih kwaniwa’an. Anayabin kwa kwaso’ob, it iyab bai’obaiyenayah, baibatebat ana veya God boro fokarin maiyow nibatiyit, men sabuw maiyow nabibabatiyih na’atube’emih.
2 For we all go wrong in a number of things. If a man never makes a slip in his talk, then he is a complete man and able to keep all his body in control.
2 It etei’imak mar etei ef ta ta’amaim tare’ere, baise orot yait awanamaim tur ititit, naatu men nasisinaf kwanekwan na’at, nati orot wanawanan i rousouwin, imih i karam biyan boro nanutitiy gewas nabonawiy.
3 Now if we put bits of iron into horses' mouths so that they may be guided by us, we have complete control of their bodies.
3 Ana’itinin ta i iti, horse mo’on murab ina’utan naatu o menamaim namih kukokok murab inatain, horse gagamin na’in boro natatabir o a kokomaim nan.
4 And again ships, though they are so great and are moved by violent winds, are turned by a very small guiding-blade, at the impulse of the man who is using it.
4 Na’atube wa gagamin na’in kwana’itin, yaurabad gagamin ebababin, baise murab kikimin maiyow nati wa ana gunigamaim hi’utan inu’in, orot menamaim namih ekok ea’abar murab kikimin karam boro wa gagamin na’in narowen mutufur orot ana kokomaim nan.
5 Even so the tongue is a small part of the body, but it takes credit for great things. How much wood may be lighted by a very little fire!
5 Imih kwana’itin menat i kikimin maiyow biyat turin, baise ana o kwanekwan i yumatan ta. Naatu itinin ta i iti, wairaf kikimin maiyow natamun nare’er kutor gagamin na’in boro na’arah ni’afiy.
6 And the tongue is a fire; it is the power of evil placed in our bodies, making all the body unclean, putting the wheel of life on fire, and getting its fire from hell.
6 Imih menat i wairaf na’atube in etoto’ab. Menat i tafaram ana kakafin an. Biyat wanawanan ma, not kakafih faram at umat etei susuw, ata yawas tutufin etei bonawiy Baimakiy Ana Efanamaim wairaf wan eyayara’ah na’arahimih.
7 For every sort of beast and bird and every living thing on earth and in the sea has been controlled by man and is under his authority;
7 Me yan ana sawar naatu riy yan ana sawar etei karam boro sabuw hinimanamen, afa himanamenaka, sigarafor, mamu, uway, kok, uma’ar, naatu siy.
8 But the tongue may not be controlled by man; it is an unresting evil, it is full of the poison of death.
8 Baise orot babin men yait ta menat imanamimih. Menat i sawar kakafin moromorob naatu bibirin men karam inimutufur.
9 With it we give praise to our Lord and Father; and with it we put a curse on men who are made in God's image.
9 Menatamaim Tamat God ana merar tayi tabobora’ara’ah baise menat ta’imonamaim taituwat God ana’itininabe bimatarih i tao’orarafih maiye.
10 Out of the same mouth comes blessing and cursing. My brothers, it is not right for these things to be so.
10 Awat i ta’imon, baise merarayow naatu orarafen hairi i efan ta’imon tititit. Taitu iti na’atube men nama.
11 Does the fountain send from the same outlet sweet and bitter water?
11 Harew buruburur ana sou’umaim karam boro harew naatu riy hairi sou ta’imon hinayen? Men karam.
12 Is a fig-tree able to give us olives, my brothers, or do we get figs from a vine, or sweet water from the salt sea?
12 Taitu, fafou nabiw men karam boro olive ro’on nayai, naatu grape nabiw na’atube men karam boro fafou ro’on nayai. Riy yan i na’atube men karam boro tomatom ana harew inahun.
13 Who has wisdom and good sense among you? let him make his works clear by a life of gentle wisdom.
13 Orot yait kwa wanawanamaim not wairafin naatu ukwarin rerekabin nama’am i boro taiyuwin nayare tur hamehamen naatu yawas gewasin nasisinaf kwana’itin. Sinaf nati i ukwar rerekabane enan.
14 But if you have bitter envy in your heart and the desire to get the better of others, have no pride in this, talking falsely against what is true.
14 Baise o dogor wanawanan tenakuyakuy, bobowen, kabat ibun wa’ir ema’am, men o not wairafih inarouw inaora’at, turobe ana bowabow inayaubimih.
15 This wisdom is not from heaven, but is of the earth and the flesh and the Evil One.
15 Not nati na’atube i men marane enan, baise iti tafaram nowan. Orot babin biyahine naatu demon mowan biyanane enan.
16 For where envy is, and the desire to get the better of others, there is no order, but every sort of evil-doing.
16 Anayabin menamaim bobowen naatu kabat ema’ama nati’imaim i fanasair naatu sawar kakafih ta ta imaim temamatar.
17 But the wisdom which is from heaven is first holy, then gentle, readily giving way in argument, full of peace and mercy and good works, not doubting, not seeming other than it is.
17 Baise not marane enan ana itinin wantoro’ot i aurin kato en; tufuw wairafin, ana tur hamehamen, kabeberayan, ana ofonah maumurih, ana bowabow ro’on gewasin, wanawanan men rerekabin.
18 And the fruit of righteousness is planted in peace for those who make peace.
18 Imih sabuw iyab tufuwamaim tufuw ana ub tetatanum yomaninamaim boro gewasin hinafour.
