1 O Senhor Deus é grande e merece ser louvado na sua cidade, em
2 \48:1\Great is the Lord and greatly to be praised, in the town of our God, in his holy mountain.
2 O monte de Deus é alto e bonito; a cidade do grande Rei é a alegria do mundo inteiro.
3 \48:2\Beautiful in its high position, the joy of all the earth, is the mountain of Zion, the mountain of God, the town of the great King.
3 Deus tem mostrado que ele dá segurança ao povo dentro das fortalezas da cidade.
4 \48:3\In its buildings God is seen to be a high tower.
4 Os reis se reuniram e juntos vieram atacar o monte Sião.
5 \48:4\For see! the kings came together by agreement, they were joined together.
5 Porém, quando viram a cidade, ficaram espantados e fugiram com medo.
6 \48:5\They saw it, and so were full of wonder; they were troubled, and went quickly away in fear.

7 \48:6\Shaking came on them and pain, as on a woman in childbirth.

8 \48:7\By you the ships of Tarshish are broken as by an east wind.
8 Temos ouvido falar das coisas que o e agora vimos o que aconteceu na cidade do nosso Deus, o Ele guardará a cidade em segurança para sempre.
9 \48:8\As it came to our ears so have we seen it, in the town of the Lord of armies, in the town of our God; God will keep it fixed for ever. (Selah.)
9 No teu Templo, ó Deus, ficamos pensando no teu amor.
10 \48:9\Our thoughts were of your mercy, O God, while we were in your Temple.
10 Tu és louvado por todos os povos, e a tua fama se espalha pelo mundo inteiro, pois tu governas com justiça.
11 \48:10\As your name is, O God, so is your praise to the ends of the earth; your right hand is full of righteousness.
11 Alegre-se, povo de Jerusalém! Ó Deus, os teus julgamentos são justos! Alegrem-se com isso, moradores das cidades de Judá!
12 \48:11\Let there be joy in the mountain of Zion, and let the daughters of Judah be glad, because of your wise decisions.
12 Povo de Deus, ande em volta de Jerusalém e conte as suas torres!
13 \48:12\Make your way about Zion, and go round it, numbering its towers.
13 Olhem todos com atenção as suas muralhas e examinem as suas fortalezas. Assim vocês poderão dizer aos seus descendentes:
14 \48:13\Take note of its strong walls, looking well at its fair buildings; so that you may give word of it to the generation which comes after.
14 “Este Deus é o nosso Deus para sempre. Ele nos guiará eternamente.”
15 \48:14\Because this God is our God for ever and ever: he will be our guide.
