1 I will extol thee, O LORD, for thou have raised me up, and have not made my foes to rejoice over me.
1 Eu te exaltarei, Senhor , porque tu me livraste e não permitiste que os meus inimigos se alegrassem contra mim.
2 O LORD my God, I cried to thee, and thou have healed me.
2 Senhor , meu Deus, clamei a ti por socorro, e tu me curaste.
3 O LORD, thou have brought up my soul from Sheol. Thou have kept me alive, that I should not go down to the pit.
3 Senhor , da sepultura fizeste subir a minha alma; preservaste-me a vida para que não descesse ao abismo.
4 Sing praise to LORD, O ye sanctified of his, and give thanks to his holiness.
4 Cantem louvores ao Senhor , vocês que são os seus santos, e deem graças ao seu santo nome.
5 For his anger is but for a moment. His favor is for a lifetime. Weeping may tarry for the night, but joy [is] in the morning.
5 Porque a sua ira dura só um momento, mas o seu favor dura a vida inteira. O choro pode durar uma noite, mas a alegria vem pela manhã.
6 As for me, I said in my prosperity, I shall never be moved.
6 Eu disse na minha prosperidade: “Jamais serei abalado.”
7 Thou, LORD, of thy favor had made my mountain to stand strong. Thou hid thy face; I was troubled.
7 Tu, Senhor , por teu favor fizeste permanecer forte a minha montanha; apenas voltaste o rosto, fiquei logo com medo.
8 I cried to thee, O LORD, and to LORD I made supplication.
8 Por ti, Senhor , clamei; ao Senhor implorei.
9 What profit is there in my blood when I go down to the pit? Shall the dust praise thee? Shall it declare thy truth?
9 Que proveito obterás no meu sangue, quando baixo à cova? Será que o pó é capaz de te louvar? Poderá ele declarar a tua verdade?
10 Hear, O LORD, and have mercy upon me. LORD, be thou my helper.
10 Ouve, Senhor , e tem compaixão de mim; sê tu,
11 Thou have turned for me my mourning into dancing. Thou have loosed my sackcloth, and girded me with gladness,
11 Tornaste o meu pranto em dança alegre; tiraste o meu pano de saco e me cingiste de alegria,
12 to the end that [my] glory may sing praise to thee, and not be silent. O LORD my God, I will give thanks to thee forever.
12 para que o meu espírito te cante louvores e não se cale. graças te darei para sempre.
