Lagano da Isambi da Mndewa na Mkombola Wetu Yesu Kilisto (ZAJ) vs VC
1 Avo, lekeni mbuli zose zihile, uvwizi, udelenya, migongo, na kuwalonga waenu vihile.
1 Deponde, pois, toda malícia, toda astúcia, fingimentos, invejas e toda espécie de maledicência.
2 Kamba wana ving'hele, gasulukileni matombo ganogile ga muloho, giladi kubitila matombo higo mpate kukula muukombola.
2 as newborn babes desire earnestly the pure mental milk of the word, that by it ye may grow up to salvation,
3 Kamba Nyandiko Zing'alile vuzilonga, “Mweye wenyego mulanza na kona kamba Mndewa kanoga.”
3 if indeed ye have tasted that the Lord {is} good.
4 Izoni ha Mndewa, dibwe dili na ugima dilemigwe na wanhu kamba kinhu bule, ila disaguligwa na Mulungu kamba dibwe dili na hishima ng'hulu.

5 Na mweye vivija, mulinga na mabwe gali na ugima, mzengigwa muing'anda ya Mulungu ya muloho tena mweye mwa wakulu wa nhambiko mung'alile. Kubitila ugombelezi wa Yesu Kilisto molava nhosa ya muloho ija imnogela Mulungu.
5 yourselves also, as living stones, are being built up a spiritual house, a holy priesthood, to offer spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God by Jesus Christ.
6 Kamba Nyandiko Zing'alile vuzilonga,
6 Because it is contained in the scripture: Behold, I lay in Zion a corner stone, elect, precious: and he that believes on him shall not be put to shame.
7 Kumwenu mweye mtogola, dibwe dino dina ugoli mkulu. Ila ha waja iwabezi, dibwe dino dabule ugoli wowose, kamba Nyandiko Zing'alile vuzilonga,
7 To you therefore who believe {is} the preciousness; but to the disobedient, the stone which the builders cast away as worthless, this is become head of {the} corner,
8 Na Nyandiko ziyagwe Zing'alile zolonga,
8 and a stone of stumbling and rock of offence; {who} stumble at the word, being disobedient to which also they have been appointed.
9 Ila mweye mwa wanhu msaguligwe, wakulu wa nhambiko wa Mndewa, isi ing'alile, wanhu wa Mulungu, msaguligwe kuzipeta sang'hano za Mulungu, ayo yawakemile mweye kulawa mdiziza na kwingila mmulangaza wake wa mkanganyo.
9 But *ye* {are} a chosen race, a kingly priesthood, a holy nation, a people for a possession, that ye might set forth the excellencies of him who has called you out of darkness to his wonderful light;
10 Umwaka hamkalile wanhu wa Mulungu, ila sambi mwa wanhu zake. Na umwaka hamditangile bazi da Mulungu, ila sambi mdibokela bazi jake.
10 who once {were} not a people, but now God's people; who were not enjoying mercy, but now have found mercy.
11 Mbwiga zangu wanogelwa, mweye kamba wahenza na wabita nzila muulumwengu uno, nowayalalila sambimziwinze sulukila za lukuli, azo zigomba na loho zenu.
11 Beloved, I exhort {you}, as strangers and sojourners, to abstain from fleshly lusts, which war against the soul;
12 Kaleni ukazi unogile hagatigati ya Wamhazi, hata kamba wowatagusa mweye kamba motenda gehile, wazone sang'hano zenu zinogile na wamuyenzi Mulungu mdizua dondayeze kuutagusa ulumwengu.
12 having your conversation honest among the Gentiles, that {as to that} in which they speak against you as evildoers, they may through {your} good works, {themselves} witnessing {them}, glorify God in {the} day of visitation.
13 Sama ya Mndewa, uhishimileni kila utawala wa kiunhu. Mmuhishimile mtawala, ayo yali na udaho mkulu,

14 na watawala wadodo, awo wasaguligwe na heyo giladi wawasune waja wotenda gehile na kuwagwelela nhogolwa waja wotenda ganogile.
14 or to rulers as sent by him, for vengeance on evildoers, and praise to them that do well.
15 Kwavija Mulungu kowalonda mweye mzivudalize mbuli za ubozi za wanhu wabozi kubitila mbuli zinogile zumtenda.
15 Because so is the will of God, that by well-doing ye put to silence the ignorance of senseless men;
16 Kaleni kamba wanhu wailegehe, ila sambimuutende ulegeho wenu uwe ngubiko ya kufisa mbuli zihile. Kaleni kamba nyakadala za Mulungu.
16 as free, and not as having liberty as a cloak of malice, but as God's bondmen.
17 Muwahishimile wanhu wose, na muwanogele wanhu wamtogole Kilisto. Mdumbeni Mulungu, na mmuhishimile mtawala.
17 Shew honour to all, love the brotherhood, fear God, honour the king.
18 Mweye nyakadala, iweni wende ha wandewa zenu na kuwalagusila hishima yose, sio ha wandewa wanogile na waholile mioyo weiyeka, ila vivija ha awo iwakali.
18 Servants, {be} subject with all fear to your masters, not only to the good and gentle, but also to the ill-tempered.
19 Kwavija Mulungu konogelwa na mweye muhatenda gaja ganogile gomgatanga na kwazaganya mbuli hazilumbile zondamtendeligwe.
19 For this {is} acceptable, if one, for conscience sake towards God, endure griefs, suffering unjustly.
20 Ihawa mokwazaganya kipigiti muhatoigwa sama ya kutenda mbuli zihile, kinhu chaki chondampate? Ila kamba muhagazika sama ya kutenda mbuli zinogile na kwazaganya, Mulungu kowamoteza sama ya mbuli hizo.
20 For what glory {is it}, if sinning and being buffeted ye shall bear {it}? but if, doing good and suffering, ye shall bear {it}, this is acceptable with God.
21 Kwavija mkemigwa sama ya mbuli zino, mana Kilisto vivija kagazika sama yenu, kawalekela kilingilo, giladi mumkweleleze heyo.
21 For to this have ye been called; for Christ also has suffered for you, leaving you a model that ye should follow in his steps:
22 “Heyo hatendile vilozo, na haduhu munhu yahulike mbuli za uvwizi kulawa mmulomo wake.”
22 who did no sin, neither was guile found in his mouth;
23 Wanhu viwamuligile, heyo ham'bwelezele maligo munhu yoyose, na wanhu viwamgazile, heyo hamgazile munhu yoyose. Ila kadika tamanilo jake ha Mulungu, mulamula yalibule uzenzeleganye.
23 who, {when} reviled, reviled not again; {when} suffering, threatened not; but gave {himself} over into the hands of him who judges righteously;
24 “Heyo mwenyego kavipapa vilozo vetu” mulukuli lwake mumsalaba, giladi mmbuli ya vilozo toneke kamba tudanganhika, na mmbuli zinogile toneke tuna ugima. “Na kubitila kutoigwa kuyatoigwe mweye muhona.”
24 who himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, in order that, being dead to sins, we may live to righteousness: by whose stripes ye have been healed.
25 Kwavija “mweye mkala kamba ng'hondolo wapotele,” ila sambi mum'bwelela Mchunga na Mwimilizi wa loho zenu.
25 For ye were going astray as sheep, but have now returned to the shepherd and overseer of your souls.
