1 And Naomi hath an acquaintance of her husband`s, a man mighty in wealth, of the family of Elimelech, and his name [is] Boaz.
1 E Noemi tinha um parente da parte de seu marido, um poderoso homem de riqueza, da família de Elimeleque; e o seu nome era Boaz.
2 And Ruth the Moabitess saith unto Naomi, `Let me go, I pray thee, into the field, and I gather among the ears of corn after him in whose eyes I find grace;` and she saith to her, `Go, my daughter.`
2 E Rute, a moabita, disse a Noemi: Deixa-me ir agora até o campo para colher espigas de cereal após aquele em cujo olhar eu acharei graça. E ela lhe disse: Vai, minha filha.
3 And she goeth and cometh and gathereth in a field after the reapers, and her chance happeneth -- the portion of the field is Boaz`s who [is] of the family of Elimelech.
3 E ela foi, e veio, e colheu no campo após os ceifeiros; e aconteceu dela se encontrar em uma parte do campo pertencente a Boaz, que era da parentela de Elimeleque.
4 And lo, Boaz hath come from Beth-Lehem, and saith to the reapers, `Jehovah [is] with you;` and they say to him, `Jehovah doth bless thee.`
4 E, eis que Boaz veio de Belém, e disse aos ceifeiros: O SENHOR seja convosco. E eles lhe responderam: O SENHOR te abençoe.
5 And Boaz saith to his young man who is set over the reapers, `Whose [is] this young person?`
5 Então Boaz disse ao seu servo que estava estabelecido sobre os ceifeiros: De quem é esta donzela?
6 And the young man who is set over the reapers answereth and saith, `A young woman -- Moabitess -- she [is], who came back with Naomi from the fields of Moab,
6 E o servo que estava estabelecido sobre os ceifeiros respondeu e disse: Ela é a donzela moabita que voltou com Noemi da terra de Moabe;
7 and she saith, Let me glean, I pray thee -- and I have gathered among the sheaves after the reapers; and she cometh and remaineth since the morning and till now; she sat in the house a little.
7 e ela disse: Rogo-te, deixa que eu recolha e colha após os ceifeiros, entre os feixes; assim, ela veio e continuou, desde a manhã até agora, de modo que se demorou um pouco na casa.
8 And Boaz saith unto Ruth, `Hast thou not heard, my daughter? go not to glean in another field, and also, pass not over from this, and thus thou dost cleave to my young women:
8 Então, Boaz disse a Rute: Tu não ouves minha filha? Não vás colher em outro campo, nem te vás daqui, mas permanece aqui junto das minhas criadas;
9 thine eyes [are] on the field which they reap, and thou hast gone after them; have not I charged the young men not to touch thee? when thou art athirst then thou hast gone unto the vessels, and hast drunk from that which the young men draw.`
9 que os teus olhos estejam no campo que segarem, e vai após elas; não tenho eu encarregado os moços para que não toquem em ti? E quando estiveres com sede, vai até os vasos, e bebe do que os moços tiraram.
10 And she falleth on her face, and boweth herself to the earth, and saith unto him, `Wherefore have I found grace in thine eyes, to discern me, and I a stranger?`
10 Então, ela caiu sobre o seu rosto, e se curvou até o chão, e lhe disse: Por que achei graça aos teus olhos, para que tomes conhecimento de mim, vendo que sou uma estrangeira?
11 And Boaz answereth and saith to her, `It hath thoroughly been declared to me all that thou hast done with thy mother-in-law, after the death of thy husband, and thou dost leave thy father, and thy mother, and the land of thy birth, and dost come in unto a people which thou hast not known heretofore.
11 E Boaz respondeu e lhe disse: Já me foi completamente mostrado tudo o que fizeste para a tua sogra desde a morte do teu marido; e como deixaste o teu pai e a tua mãe, e a tua terra natal, e vieste a um povo que outrora não conhecias.
12 Jehovah doth recompense thy work, and thy reward is complete from Jehovah, God of Israel, under whose wings thou hast come to take refuge.`
12 O SENHOR recompense o teu trabalho, e um galardão pleno te seja dado da parte do SENHOR, Deus de Israel, debaixo de cujas asas tu vieste confiar.
13 And she saith, `Let me find grace in thine eyes, my lord, because thou hast comforted me, and because thou hast spoken unto the heart of thy maid-servant, and I -- I am not as one of thy maid-servants.`
13 Então, ela disse: Permita-me encontrar graça à tua vista, meu senhor; pelo que me consolaste, e pelo que falaste amigavelmente à tua criada, embora eu não seja como uma das tuas criadas.
14 And Boaz saith to her, `At meal-time come nigh hither, and thou hast eaten of the bread, and dipped thy morsel in the vinegar.` And she sitteth at the side of the reapers, and he reacheth to her roasted corn, and she eateth, and is satisfied, and leaveth.
14 E Boaz lhe disse: Na hora da refeição vem tu para cá, e come do pão, e molha o teu bocado no vinagre. E ela se assentou ao lado dos ceifeiros; e ele lhe serviu grão tostado, e ela comeu, e ficou satisfeita, e se retirou.
15 And she riseth to glean, and Boaz chargeth his young men, saying, `Even between the sheaves she doth glean, and ye do not cause her to blush;
15 E quando ela estava de pé para colher, Boaz ordenou aos seus moços, dizendo: Deixai-a colher também no meio dos feixes, e não a censureis;
16 and also ye do surely cast to her of the handfuls -- and have left, and she hath gleaned, and ye do not push against her.`
16 e também deixai cair propositalmente alguns dos punhados para ela, e os deixai para que ela possa apanhá-los, e não a repreendais.
17 And she gleaneth in the field till the evening, and beateth out that which she hath gleaned, and it is about an ephah of barley;
17 Assim, ela colheu no campo até o anoitecer, e debulhou o que havia apanhado; e foi cerca de um efa de cevada.
18 and she taketh [it] up, and goeth into the city, and her mother-in-law seeth that which she hath gleaned, and she bringeth out and giveth to her that which she left from her satiety.
18 E ela o tomou consigo, e entrou na cidade; e a sua sogra viu o que ela havia colhido; e ela o trouxe, e lhe deu o que havia reservado depois de estar satisfeita.
19 And her mother-in-law saith to her, `Where hast thou gleaned to-day? and where hast thou wrought? may he who is discerning thee be blessed.` And she declareth to her mother-in-law with whom she hath wrought, and saith, `The name of the man with whom I have wrought to-day [is] Boaz.`
19 E a sua sogra lhe disse: Onde colheste hoje? E onde trabalhaste? Bendito seja aquele que de ti tomou conhecimento. E ela mostrou à sua sogra aquele com quem tinha trabalhado, e disse: O nome do homem com que trabalhei hoje é Boaz.
20 And Naomi saith to her daughter-in-law, `Blessed [is] he of Jehovah who hath not forsaken His kindness with the living and with the dead;` and Naomi saith to her, `The man is a relation of ours; he [is] of our redeemers.`
20 E Noemi disse à sua nora: Bendito seja ele do SENHOR, que não retirou a sua benevolência nem dos vivos, nem dos mortos. E Noemi lhe disse: O homem é nosso parente chegado, um dos nossos parentes próximos.
21 And Ruth the Moabitess saith, `Also he surely said unto me, Near the young people whom I have thou dost cleave till they have completed the whole of the harvest which I have.`
21 E Rute, a moabita, disse: Ele também me disse: Tu deverás te manter junto aos meus moços, até que tenham terminado toda a minha colheita.
22 And Naomi saith unto Ruth her daughter-in-law, `Good, my daughter, that thou goest out with his young women, and they come not against thee in another field.`
22 E Noemi disse à Rute, sua nora: É bom, minha filha, que tu saias com as criadas dele, que não te encontrem em nenhum outro campo.
23 And she cleaveth to the young women of Boaz to glean, till the completion of the barley-harvest, and of the wheat-harvest, and she dwelleth with her mother-in-law.
23 Assim, ela se manteve junto às criadas de Boaz, para recolher até o final da colheita da cevada e da colheita do trigo; e habitou com a sua sogra.
