1 And it cometh to pass, in that year, in the beginning of the reign of Zedekiah king of Judah, in the fourth year, in the fifth month, spoken unto me hath Hananiah son of Azur the prophet, who [is] of Gibeon, in the house of Jehovah, before the eyes of the priests, and all the people, saying,
1 No mesmo ano, no princípio do reinado de Zedequias, rei de Judá, isto é, no ano quarto, no quinto mês, Hananias, filho de Azur e profeta de Gibeão, me falou na Casa do Senhor , na presença dos sacerdotes e de todo o povo, dizendo:
2 `Thus spake Jehovah of Hosts, God of Israel, saying, I have broken the yoke of the king of Babylon;
2 Assim fala o Senhor dos Exércitos, o Deus de Israel, dizendo: Quebrei o jugo do rei da Babilônia.
3 Within two years of days I am bringing back unto this place all the vessels of the house of Jehovah that Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon hath taken from this place, and doth carry to Babylon,
3 Dentro de dois anos, eu tornarei a trazer a este lugar todos os utensílios da Casa do Senhor , que daqui tomou Nabucodonosor, rei da Babilônia, levando-os para a Babilônia.
4 And Jeconiah son of Jehoiakim, king of Judah, and all the removed of Judah, who are entering Babylon, I am bringing back unto this place -- an affirmation of Jehovah; for I do break the yoke of the king of Babylon.`
4 Também a Jeconias, filho de Jeoaquim, rei de Judá, e a todos os exilados de Judá, que entraram na Babilônia, eu tornarei a trazer a este lugar, diz o Senhor ; porque quebrei o jugo do rei da Babilônia.
5 And Jeremiah the prophet saith unto Hananiah the prophet, before the eyes of the priests, and before the eyes of all the people who are standing in the house of Jehovah,
5 Então, respondeu Jeremias, o profeta, ao profeta Hananias, na presença dos sacerdotes e perante todo o povo que estava na Casa do Senhor .
6 Yea, Jeremiah the prophet saith, `Amen! so may Jehovah do; Jehovah establish thy words that thou hast prophesied, to bring back the vessels of the house of Jehovah and all the removal from Babylon, unto this place.
6 Disse, pois, Jeremias, o profeta: Amém! Assim faça o Senhor ; confirme o Senhor as tuas palavras, com que profetizaste, e torne ele a trazer da Babilônia a este lugar os utensílios da Casa do Senhor e todos os exilados.
7 `Only, hear, I pray thee, this word that I am speaking in thine ears, and in the ears of all the people.
7 Mas ouve agora esta palavra, que eu falo a ti e a todo o povo para que ouçais:
8 The prophets who have been before me, and before thee, from of old, even they prophesy concerning many lands, and concerning great kingdoms, of battle, and of evil, and of pestilence.
8 Os profetas que houve antes de mim e antes de ti, desde a antiguidade, profetizaram guerra, mal e peste contra muitas terras e grandes reinos.
9 The prophet who doth prophesy of peace -- by the coming in of the word of the prophet, known is the prophet that Jehovah hath truly sent him.`
9 O profeta que profetizar paz, só ao cumprir-se a sua palavra, será conhecido como profeta, de fato, enviado do Senhor .
10 And Hananiah the prophet taketh the yoke from off the neck of Jeremiah the prophet, and breaketh it,
10 Então, o profeta Hananias tomou os canzis do pescoço de Jeremias, o profeta, e os quebrou;
11 And Hananiah speaketh before the eyes of all the people, saying, `Thus said Jehovah, Thus I break the yoke of Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon, within two years of days, from off the neck of all the nations;` and Jeremiah the prophet goeth on his way.
11 e falou na presença de todo o povo: Assim diz o Senhor : Deste modo, dentro de dois anos, quebrarei o jugo de Nabucodonosor, rei da Babilônia, de sobre o pescoço de todas as nações. E Jeremias, o profeta, se foi, tomando o seu caminho.
12 And there is a word of Jehovah unto Jeremiah after the breaking, by Hananiah the prophet, of the yoke from off the neck of Jeremiah the prophet, saying,
12 Mas depois que Hananias, o profeta, quebrou os canzis de sobre o pescoço do profeta Jeremias, veio a este a palavra do Senhor , dizendo:
13 `Go, and thou hast spoken unto Hananiah, saying, Thus said Jehovah, Yokes of wood thou hast broken, and I have made instead of them yokes of iron;
13 Vai e fala a Hananias, dizendo: Assim diz o Senhor : Canzis de madeira quebraste. Mas, em vez deles, farei canzis de ferro.
14 For thus said Jehovah of Hosts, God of Israel, A yoke of iron I have put on the neck of all these nations to serve Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon, and they have served him, and also the beast of the field I have given to him.`
14 Porque assim diz o Senhor dos Exércitos, o Deus de Israel: Jugo de ferro pus sobre o pescoço de todas estas nações, para servirem a Nabucodonosor, rei da Babilônia; e o servirão. Também lhe dei os animais do campo.
15 And Jeremiah the prophet saith unto Hananiah the prophet, `Hear, I pray thee, O Hananiah; Jehovah hath not sent thee, and thou hast caused this people to trust on falsehood.
15 Disse Jeremias, o profeta, ao profeta Hananias: Ouve agora, Hananias: O Senhor não te enviou, mas tu fizeste que este povo confiasse em mentiras.
16 Therefore thus said Jehovah, Lo, I am casting thee from off the face of the ground; this year thou diest, for apostacy thou hast spoken concerning Jehovah.`
16 Pelo que assim diz o Senhor : Eis que te lançarei de sobre a face da terra; morrerás este ano, porque pregaste rebeldia contra o Senhor .
17 And Hananiah the prophet dieth in that year, in the seventh month.
17 Morreu, pois, o profeta Hananias, no mesmo ano, no sétimo mês.
