1 The burden of the Valley of Vision. What -- to thee, now, that thou hast gone up, All of thee -- to the roofs?
1 Peso do vale da Visão. Que tens, agora, para que assim totalmente subisses aos telhados?
2 Full of stirs -- a noisy city -- an exulting city, Thy pierced are not pierced of the sword, Nor dead in battle.
2 Cidade cheia de aclamações, cidade turbulenta, cidade que salta de alegria, os teus mortos não são mortos à espada, nem morreram na guerra.
3 All thy rulers fled together from the bow, Bound have been all found of thee, They have been kept bound together, Afar off they have fled.
3 Todos os teus príncipes juntamente fugiram, foram ligados pelos arqueiros; todos os que em ti se acharam foram amarrados juntamente e fugiram para longe.
4 Therefore I said, `Look ye from me, I am bitter in my weeping, Haste not to comfort me, For the destruction of the daughter of my people.`
4 Portanto, digo: desviai de mim a vista, e chorarei amargamente; não vos canseis mais em consolar-me pela destruição da filha do meu povo.
5 For a day of noise, and of treading down, And of perplexity, [is] to the Lord, Jehovah of Hosts, In the valley of vision, digging down a wall, And crying unto the mountain.
5 Porque dia de alvoroço, e de vexame, e de confusão é este da parte do Senhor Jeová dos Exércitos, no vale da Visão: um derribar de muros e um clamor até às montanhas.
6 And Elam hath borne a quiver, In a chariot of men -- horsemen, And Kir hath exposed a shield.
6 Porque Elão tomou a aljava, com carros de homens e cavaleiros; e Quir descobre os escudos.
7 And it cometh to pass, The choice of thy valleys have been full of chariots, And the horsemen place themselves diligently at the gate.
7 E será que os teus mais formosos vales se encherão de carros, e os cavaleiros se porão em ordem às portas.
8 And one removeth the covering of Judah, And thou lookest in that day Unto the armour of the house of the forest,
8 E se tirará a cobertura de Judá, e, naquele dia, olharás para as armas da casa do bosque.
9 And the breaches of the city of David ye have seen, For they have become many, And ye gather the waters of the lower pool,
9 E vereis as brechas da cidade de Davi, porquanto são muitas; e ajuntareis as águas do viveiro inferior.
10 And the houses of Jerusalem ye did number, And ye break down the houses to fence the wall.
10 Também contareis as casas de Jerusalém e derribareis as casas, para fortalecer os muros.
11 And a ditch ye made between the two walls, For the waters of the old pool, And ye have not looked unto its Maker, And its Framer of old ye have not seen.
11 Fizestes também um reservatório entre os dois muros para as águas do viveiro velho, mas não olhastes para cima, para o que o tinha feito, nem considerastes o que o formou desde a antiguidade.
12 And call doth the Lord, Jehovah of Hosts, In that day, to weeping and to lamentation, And to baldness and to girding on of sackcloth,
12 E o Senhor, o Senhor dos Exércitos, vos convidará naquele dia ao choro, e ao pranto, e ao rapar da cabeça, e ao cingidouro do cilício.
13 And lo, joy and gladness, slaying of oxen, And slaughtering of sheep, Eating of flesh, and drinking of wine, Eat and drink, for to-morrow we die.
13 Mas eis aqui gozo e alegria; matam-se vacas e degolam-se ovelhas; come-se carne, e bebe-se vinho, e diz-se: Comamos e bebamos, porque amanhã morreremos.
14 And revealed it hath been in mine ears, [By] Jehovah of Hosts: Not pardoned is this iniquity to you, Till ye die, said the Lord, Jehovah of Hosts.
14 Mas o Senhor dos Exércitos se declarou aos meus ouvidos, dizendo: Certamente, esta maldade não será expiada até que morrais, diz o Senhor Jeová dos Exércitos.
15 Thus said the Lord, Jehovah of Hosts: `Go, enter in unto this steward, Unto Shebna, who [is] over the house:
15 Assim diz o Senhor Jeová dos Exércitos: Anda, vai ter com este tesoureiro, com Sebna, o mordomo, e dize-lhe:
16 What -- to thee here? And who -- to thee here? That thou hast hewn out to thee here -- a sepulchre? Hewing on high his sepulchre, Graving in a rock a dwelling for himself.
16 Que é que tens aqui? Ou a quem tens tu aqui, para que cavasses aqui uma sepultura, cavando em lugar alto a sua sepultura, cinzelando na rocha uma morada para si mesmo!
17 Lo, Jehovah is casting thee up and down, A casting up and down, O mighty one,
17 Eis que o Senhor te arrojará violentamente como um homem forte e de todo te envolverá.
18 And thy coverer covering, wrapping round, Wrappeth thee round, O babbler, On a land broad of sides -- there thou diest, And there the chariots of thine honour [Are] the shame of the house of thy lord.
18 Certamente, te fará rolar, como se faz rolar uma bola em terra larga e espaçosa; ali, morrerás, e, ali, acabarão os carros da tua glória, o opróbrio da casa do teu senhor.
19 And I have thrust thee from thy station, And from thine office he throweth thee down.
19 E demitir-te-ei do teu ofício e te arrancarei do teu assento.
20 And it hath come to pass, in that day, That I have called to my servant, To Eliakim son of Hilkiah.
20 E será, naquele dia, que chamarei a meu servo Eliaquim, filho de Hilquias.
21 And I have clothed him with thy coat, And with thy girdle I strengthen him, And thy garment I give into his hand, And he hath been for a father to the inhabitant of Jerusalem, And to the house of Judah.
21 E revesti-lo-ei da tua túnica, e esforçá-lo-ei com o teu talabarte, e entregarei nas suas mãos o teu domínio, e ele será como pai para os moradores de Jerusalém e para a casa de Judá.
22 And I have placed the key Of the house of David on his shoulder, And he hath opened, and none is shutting, And hath shut, and none is opening.
22 E porei a chave da casa de Davi sobre o seu ombro, e abrirá, e ninguém fechará, e fechará, e ninguém abrirá.
23 And I have fixed him a nail in a stedfast place, And he hath been for a throne of honour To the house of his father.
23 E fixá-lo-ei como a um prego em um lugar firme, e será como um trono de honra para a casa de seu pai.
24 And they have hanged on him All the honour of the house of his father, The offspring and the issue, All vessels of small quality, From vessels of basins to all vessels of flagons.
24 E dele penderá toda a glória da casa de seu pai, os renovos e os descendentes, todos os vasos menores, desde as taças até às garrafas.
25 In that day -- an affirmation of Jehovah of Hosts, Moved is the nail that is fixed In a stedfast place, Yea, it hath been cut down, and hath fallen, And cut off hath been the burden that [is] on it, For Jehovah hath spoken!`
25 Naquele dia, diz o Senhor dos Exércitos, o prego pregado em lugar firme será tirado; será arrancado e cairá, e a carga que nele estava se desprenderá, porque o Senhor o disse.
