1 And the life of Sarah is a hundred and twenty and seven years -- years of the life of Sarah;
1 E Sara tinha cento e vinte e sete anos de idade; estes foram os anos da vida de Sara.
2 and Sarah dieth in Kirjath-Arba, which [is] Hebron, in the land of Caanan, and Abraham goeth in to mourn for Sarah, and to bewail her.
2 E Sara morreu em Quiriate-Arba, que é Hebrom, na terra de Canaã; e Abraão veio lamentar por Sara, e chorar por ela.
3 And Abraham riseth up from the presence of his dead, and speaketh unto the sons of Heth, saying,
3 E Abraão levantou-se de diante de seu corpo, e falou aos filhos de Hete, dizendo:
4 `A sojourner and a settler I [am] with you; give to me a possession of a burying-place with you, and I bury my dead from before me.`
4 Eu sou um estrangeiro e peregrino convosco; dai-me a posse de um lugar de sepultamento convosco, para que eu possa sepultar a minha falecida de diante da minha vista.
5 And the sons of Heth answer Abraham, saying to him,
5 E os filhos de Hete responderam a Abraão, dizendo-lhe:
6 `Hear us, my lord; a prince of God [art] thou in our midst; in the choice of our burying-places bury thy dead: none of us his burying-place doth withhold from thee, from burying thy dead.`
6 Ouve-nos, meu senhor; tu és um príncipe poderoso entre nós; na escolha dos nossos sepulcros, sepulta a tua falecida; ninguém de nós reterá de ti seu sepulcro, para que possas sepultar a tua falecida.
7 And Abraham riseth and boweth himself to the people of the land, to the sons of Heth,
7 E Abraão levantou-se e curvou-se diante do povo da terra, aos filhos de Hete.
8 and he speaketh with them, saying, `If it is your desire to bury my dead from before me, hear me, and meet for me with Ephron, son of Zoar;
8 E falou com eles, dizendo: Se é de vossa vontade que eu sepulte a minha falecida distante da minha vista, ouvi-me e intercedei por mim a Efrom, filho de Zoar;
9 and he giveth to me the cave of Machpelah, which he hath, which [is] in the extremity of his field; for full money doth he give it to me, in your midst, for a possession of a burying-place.`
9 para que ele possa me dar a caverna de Macpela, que ele tem, que está na extremidade do seu campo; pois não importa o preço que custe, ele me dará como posse para lugar de sepultamento entre vós.
10 And Ephron is sitting in the midst of the sons of Heth, and Ephron the Hittite answereth Abraham in the ears of the sons of Heth, of all those entering the gate of his city, saying,
10 E Efrom habitava entre os filhos de Hete, e Efrom, o heteu, respondeu a Abraão aos ouvidos dos filhos de Hete, de todos os que entravam pela porta da cidade, dizendo:
11 `Nay, my lord, hear me: the field I have given to thee, and the cave that [is] in it, to thee I have given it; before the eyes of the sons of my people I have given it to thee -- bury thy dead.`
11 Não, meu senhor, ouve-me: O campo eu te dou, e a caverna que está nele, eu a dou para ti; na presença dos filhos do meu povo eu te dou; sepulta a tua falecida.
12 And Abraham boweth himself before the people of the land,
12 E Abraão curvou-se diante do povo da terra.
13 and speaketh unto Ephron in the ears of the people of the land, saying, `Only -- if thou wouldst hear me -- I have given the money of the field -- accept from me, and I bury my dead there.`
13 E ele falou a Efrom aos ouvidos do povo da terra, dizendo: Mas se tu o deres, te suplico, ouve-me: Dar-te-ei dinheiro pelo campo; toma-o de mim, e eu sepultarei ali a minha falecida.
14 And Ephron answereth Abraham, saying to him,
14 E Efrom respondeu a Abraão, dizendo lhe:
15 `My lord, hear me: the land -- four hundred shekels of silver; between me and thee, what [is] it? -- thy dead bury.`
15 Meu senhor, ouve-me, a terra vale quatrocentos shekels de prata; o que é isso entre mim e ti? Por isso, sepulta tua falecida.
16 And Abraham hearkeneth unto Ephron, and Abraham weigheth to Ephron the silver which he hath spoken of in the ears of the sons of Heth, four hundred silver shekels, passing with the merchant.
16 E Abraão ouviu a Efrom; e Abraão pesou a prata para Efrom, da qual ele tinha falado aos ouvidos dos filhos de Hete, quatrocentos shekels de prata, dinheiro corrente entre os mercadores.
17 And established are the field of Ephron, which [is] in Machpelah, which [is] before Mamre, the field and the cave which [is] in it, and all the trees which [are] in the field, which [are] in all its border round about,
17 E o campo de Efrom, que estava em Macpela, que estava diante de Manre, o campo e a caverna que estava nele, e todas as árvores que estavam no campo, que estavam em todas as extremidades ao redor, foram confirmados,
18 to Abraham by purchase, before the eyes of the sons of Heth, among all entering the gate of his city.
18 para Abraão como possessão na presença dos filhos de Hete, diante de todos os que entravam no portão da cidade.
19 And after this hath Abraham buried Sarah his wife at the cave of the field of Machpelah before Mamre (which [is] Hebron), in the land of Canaan;
19 E depois disso, Abraão sepultou Sara, sua esposa, na caverna do campo de Macpela, diante de Manre, que é Hebrom na terra de Canaã.
20 and established are the field, and the cave which [is] in it, to Abraham for a possession of a burying-place, from the sons of Heth.
20 E o campo, e a caverna que está nele, foram confirmados a Abraão pelos filhos de Hete para posse de um lugar de sepultamento.
