1 And there is a word of Jehovah unto me, saying:
1 Ademais, a palavra do SENHOR veio a mim, dizendo:
2 `Son of man, set thy face against mount Seir, and prophesy against it,
2 Filho do homem, posiciona a tua face contra o monte Seir, e profetiza contra ele.
3 and thou hast said to it: Thus said the Lord Jehovah: Lo, I [am] against thee, O mount Seir, And have stretched out My hand against thee, And made thee a desolation and an astonishment.
3 E dize-lhe: Assim diz o Senhor DEUS: Eis que, ó monte Seir, eu estou contra ti, e estenderei a minha mão contra ti, e te farei extremamente assolado.
4 Thy cities a waste I make, and thou art a desolation, And thou hast known that I [am] Jehovah.
4 Eu assolarei as tuas cidades, e tu ficarás assolado, e saberás que eu sou o SENHOR.
5 Because of thy having an enmity age-during, And thou dost saw the sons of Israel, By the hands of the sword, In the time of their calamity, In the time of the iniquity of the end:
5 Porque tu tiveste um ódio perpétuo, e derramaste o sangue dos filhos de Israel pela força da espada no tempo da sua calamidade, e no tempo em que a sua iniquidade teve um fim;
6 Therefore, I live -- an affirmation of the Lord Jehovah, Surely for blood I do appoint thee, And blood doth pursue thee, If blood thou hast not hated, Blood also doth pursue thee.
6 portanto, como eu vivo, diz o Senhor DEUS, preparar-te-ei para o sangue, e o sangue te perseguirá; visto que tu não odiaste o sangue, o sangue te perseguirá.
7 And I have given mount Seir for a desolation and an astonishment, And have cut off from it him who is passing over and him who is returning,
7 Assim, farei do monte Seir extremamente assolado, e cortarei fora dele aquele que passar por ele e aquele que retornar.
8 And filled his mountains with his wounded, Thy hills, and thy valleys, and all thy streams, The pierced of the sword fall into them.
8 E encherei os seus montes dos seus homens mortos; nas tuas colinas, e nos teus vales, e em todos os teus rios, eles cairão mortos pela espada.
9 Desolations age-during I make thee, And thy cities do not return, And ye have known that I [am] Jehovah.
9 Farei de ti perpétuas assolações, e as tuas cidades não retornarão, e sabereis que eu sou o SENHOR.
10 Because of thy saying: The two nations and the two lands are mine, and we have possessed it, And Jehovah hath been there;
10 Porquanto tu disseste: Essas duas nações, e essas duas terras serão minhas, e nós as possuiremos, considerando que o SENHOR estava ali;
11 Therefore, I live -- an affirmation of the Lord Jehovah, And I have done according to thine anger, And according to thine envy, With which thou hast wrought, Because of thy hatred against them, And I have been known among them when I judge thee.
11 portanto, como eu vivo, diz o Senhor DEUS, procederei conforme a tua ira, de acordo com a tua inveja que usaste do teu ódio contra eles; e me farei conhecido entre eles, quando eu tiver te julgado.
12 And thou hast known that I -- Jehovah, I have heard all thy despisings that thou hast spoken Against mountains of Israel, saying: A desolation, to us they were given for food.
12 E tu saberás que eu sou o SENHOR, e que eu ouvi todas as tuas blasfêmias, que falaste contra os montes de Israel, dizendo: Eles estão assolados, nos são dados para serem consumidos.
13 And ye magnify yourselves against Me with your mouth, And have made abundant against Me your words, I -- I have heard.
13 Assim, com a sua boca vos vangloriastes contra mim, e multiplicastes vossas palavras contra mim. Eu as ouvi.
14 Thus said the Lord Jehovah: According to the rejoicing of the whole land, A desolation I make of thee.
14 Assim diz o Senhor DEUS: Quando toda a terra se regozijar, eu farei de ti uma desolação.
15 According to thy joy at the inheritance of the house of Israel because of desolation, So I do to thee -- a desolation thou art, O mount Seir, and all Edom -- all of it, And they have known that I [am] Jehovah!
15 Como te regozijaste com a herança da casa de Israel, porque foi assolada, assim farei a ti: serás assolado, ó monte Seir, e todo o Edom, todo ele; e saberão que eu sou o SENHOR.
