1 And all the tribes of Israel come unto David, to Hebron, and speak, saying, `Lo, we [are] thy bone and thy flesh;
1 Então, vieram todas as tribos de Israel até Davi em Hebrom, e falaram, dizendo: Eis que somos o teu osso e a tua carne.
2 also heretofore, in Saul`s being king over us, thou hast been he who is bringing out and bringing in Israel, and Jehovah saith to thee, Thou dost feed My people Israel, and thou art for leader over Israel.`
2 Também em tempos passados, quando Saul era rei sobre nós, tu eras aquele que saías e entravas em Israel; e o SENHOR te disse: Tu alimentarás Israel, meu povo, e tu serás um capitão sobre Israel.
3 And all the elders of Israel come unto the king, to Hebron, and king David maketh with them a covenant in Hebron before Jehovah, and they anoint David for king over Israel.
3 Assim, todos os anciãos de Israel vinham até o rei em Hebrom; e o rei Davi fez um pacto com eles em Hebrom diante do SENHOR; e eles ungiram Davi rei sobre Israel.
4 A son of thirty years [is] David in his being king; forty years he hath reigned;
4 Davi tinha trinta anos de idade quando começou a reinar, e reinou por quarenta anos.
5 in Hebron he reigned over Judah seven years and six months, and in Jerusalem he reigned thirty and three years, over all Israel and Judah.
5 Em Hebrom ele reinou sobre Judá sete anos e seis meses; e em Jerusalém reinou trinta e três anos sobre todo o Israel e Judá.
6 And the king goeth, and his men, to Jerusalem, unto the Jebusite, the inhabitant of the land, and they speak to David, saying, `Thou dost not come in hither, except thou turn aside the blind and the lame;` saying, `David doth not come in hither.`
6 E o rei e os seus homens foram para Jerusalém até os jebuseus, os habitantes da terra; que falaram a Davi, dizendo: Exceto se removeres os cegos e os aleijados, não entrarás aqui, querendo dizer, Davi não pode entrar aqui.
7 And David captureth the fortress of Zion, it [is] the city of David.
7 Todavia, Davi tomou a fortaleza de Sião; que é a cidade de Davi.
8 And David saith on that day, `Any one smiting the Jebusite, (let him go up by the watercourse), and the lame and the blind -- the hated of David`s soul,` -- because the blind and lame say, `He doth not come into the house.`
8 E Davi disse naquele dia: Todo aquele que subir pelo canal, e ferir os jebuseus, e os aleijados e os cegos, que são odiados pela alma de Davi, será chefe e capitão. Pelo que disseram: Os cegos e os aleijados não entrarão na casa.
9 And David dwelleth in the fortress, and calleth it -- City of David, and David buildeth round about, from Millo and inward,
9 Assim, Davi habitou no forte, e o chamou de cidade de Davi. E Davi edificou o entorno desde Milo em direção ao interior.
10 and David goeth, going on and becoming great, and Jehovah, God of Hosts, [is] with him.
10 E Davi prosseguiu, e tornou-se grande, e o SENHOR Deus dos Exércitos estava com ele.
11 And Hiram king of Tyre sendeth messengers unto David, and cedar-trees, and artificers of wood, and artificers of stone, for walls, and they build a house for David,
11 E Hirão, rei de Tiro, enviou mensageiros a Davi, e árvores de cedro, e carpinteiros e pedreiros; e eles edificaram uma casa para Davi.
12 and David knoweth that Jehovah hath established him for king over Israel, and that He hath lifted up his kingdom, because of His people Israel.
12 E Davi percebeu que o SENHOR o havia estabelecido rei sobre Israel, e que ele havia exaltado o seu reino por causa de Israel, seu povo.
13 And David taketh again concubines and wives out of Jerusalem, after his coming from Hebron, and there are born again to David sons and daughters.
13 E Davi tomou para si mais concubinas e mulheres de Jerusalém, depois de chegar de Hebrom; e houve ainda filhos e filhas nascidos a Davi.
14 And these [are] the names of those born to him in Jerusalem: Shammuah, and Shobab, and Nathan, and Solomon,
14 E estes são os nomes daqueles que lhe nasceram em Jerusalém; Samua, e Sobabe, e Natã, e Salomão,
15 and Ibhar, and Elishua, and Nepheg, and Japhia,
15 Ibar também, e Elisua, e Nefegue, e Jafia,
16 and Elishama, and Eliada, and Eliphalet.
16 e Elisama, e Eliada, e Elifelete.
17 And the Philistines hear that they have anointed David for king over Israel, and all the Philistines come up to seek David, and David heareth, and goeth down unto the fortress,
17 Todavia, quando os filisteus ouviram que eles haviam ungido Davi rei sobre Israel, todos os filisteus subiram em busca de Davi; e Davi ouviu isto, e desceu à fortaleza.
18 and the Philistines have come, and are spread out in the valley of Rephaim.
18 Os filisteus também vieram e se espalharam no vale dos Refains.
19 And David asketh of Jehovah, saying, `Do I go up unto the Philistines? dost Thou give them into my hand?` And Jehovah saith unto David, `Go up, for I certainly give the Philistines into thy hand.`
19 E Davi consultou o SENHOR, dizendo: Subirei até os filisteus? Entregá-los-ás em minha mão? E o SENHOR disse a Davi: Sobe; pois, sem dúvida, entregarei os filisteus na tua mão.
20 And David cometh in to Baal-Perazim, and David smiteth them there, and saith, `Jehovah hath broken forth [on] mine enemies before me, as the breaking forth of waters;` therefore he hath called the name of that place Baal-Perazim.
20 E Davi veio até Baal-Perazim, e Davi os feriu ali e disse: O SENHOR irrompeu sobre os meus inimigos diante de mim, tal como a brecha de águas. Por isso ele chamou o nome daquele lugar Baal-Perazim.
21 And they forsake there their idols, and David and his men lift them up.
21 E ali eles deixaram as suas imagens, e Davi e os seus homens as queimaram.
22 And the Philistines add again to come up, and are spread out in the valley of Rephaim,
22 E os filisteus subiram novamente, e se espalharam no vale dos Refains.
23 and David asketh of Jehovah, and He saith, `Thou dost not go up, turn round unto their rear, and thou hast come to them over-against the mulberries,
23 E quando Davi consultou o SENHOR, ele disse: Tu não subirás; mas faz um cerco por trás deles, e investe sobre eles contra as amoreiras.
24 and it cometh to pass, in thy hearing the sound of a stepping in the tops of the mulberries, then thou dost move sharply, for then hath Jehovah gone out before thee to smite in the camp of the Philistines.`
24 E será que, quando ouvires o som de um mover sobre a copa das amoreiras, então te moverás, porquanto então o SENHOR sairá adiante de ti, para ferir o exército dos filisteus.
25 And David doth so, as Jehovah commanded him, and smiteth the Philistines from Geba unto thy coming to Gazer.
25 E Davi assim o fez, como o SENHOR lhe havia ordenado; e feriu os filisteus desde Geba até chegar a Gezer.
