1 And these [are] the last words of David: -- `The affirmation of David son of Jesse -- And the affirmation of the man raised up -- Concerning the Anointed of the God of Jacob, And the Sweetness of the Songs of Israel:
1 E estas são as últimas palavras de Davi: Diz Davi, filho de Jessé, e diz o homem que foi levantado em altura, o ungido do Deus de Jacó, e o suave em salmos de Israel.
2 The Spirit of Jehovah hath spoken by me, And His word [is] on my tongue.
2 O Espírito do Senhor falou por mim, e a sua palavra está na minha boca.
3 He said -- the God of Israel -- to me, He spake -- the Rock of Israel: He who is ruling over man [is] righteous, He is ruling in the fear of God.
3 Disse o Deus de Israel, a Rocha de Israel a mim me falou: Haverá um justo que domine sobre os homens, que domine no temor de Deus.
4 And as the light of morning he riseth, A morning sun -- no clouds! By the shining, by the rain, Tender grass of the earth!
4 E será como a luz da manhã, quando sai o sol, da manhã sem nuvens, quando pelo seu resplendor e pela chuva a erva brota da terra.
5 For -- not so [is] my house with God; For -- a covenant age-during He made with me, Arranged in all things, and kept; For -- all my salvation, and all desire, For -- He hath not caused [it] to spring up.
5 Ainda que a minha casa não seja tal para com Deus, contudo estabeleceu comigo uma aliança eterna, que em tudo será bem ordenado e guardado, pois toda a minha salvação e todo o meu prazer está nele, apesar de que ainda não o faz brotar.
6 As to the worthless -- As a thorn driven away [are] all of them, For -- not by hand are they taken;
6 Porém os filhos de Belial todos serão como os espinhos que se lançam fora, porque não podem ser tocados com a mão.
7 And the man who cometh against them Is filled with iron and the staff of a spear, And with fire they are utterly burnt In the cessation.`
7 Mas qualquer que os tocar se armará de ferro e da haste de uma lança; e a fogo serão totalmente queimados no mesmo lugar.
8 These [are] the names of the mighty ones whom David hath: sitting in the seat [is] the Tachmonite, head of the captains -- he [is] Adino, who hardened himself against eight hundred -- wounded at one time.
8 Estes são os nomes dos poderosos que Davi teve: Josebe-Bassebete, filho de Taquemoni, o principal dos capitães; este era Adino, o eznita, que se opusera a oitocentos, e os feriu de uma vez.
9 And after him [is] Eleazar son of Dodo, son of Ahohi, of the three mighty men with David; in their exposing themselves among the Philistines -- they have been gathered there to battle, and the men of Israel go up --
9 E depois dele Eleazar, filho de Dodó, filho de Aoí, entre os três valentes que estavam com Davi quando provocaram os filisteus que ali se ajuntaram à peleja, e quando se retiraram os homens de Israel.
10 he hath arisen, and smiteth among the Philistines till that his hand hath been weary, and his hand cleaveth unto the sword, and Jehovah worketh a great salvation on that day, and the people turn back after him only to strip off.
10 Este se levantou, e feriu os filisteus, até lhe cansar a mão e ficar a mão pegada à espada; e naquele dia o Senhor efetuou um grande livramento; e o povo voltou junto dele, somente a tomar o despojo.
11 And after him [is] Shammah son of Agee the Hararite, and the Philistines are gathered into a company, and there is there a portion of the field full of lentiles, and the people hath fled from the presence of the Philistines,
11 E depois dele Samá, filho de Agé, o hararita, quando os filisteus se ajuntaram numa multidão, onde havia um pedaço de terra cheio de lentilhas, e o povo fugira de diante dos filisteus.
12 and he stationeth himself in the midst of the portion, and delivereth it, and smiteth the Philistines, and Jehovah worketh a great salvation.
12 Este, pois, se pôs no meio daquele pedaço de terra, e o defendeu, e feriu os filisteus; e o Senhor efetuou um grande livramento.
13 And three of the thirty heads go down and come unto the harvest, unto David, unto the cave of Adullam, and the company of the Philistines are encamping in the valley of Rephaim,
13 Também três dos trinta chefes desceram, e no tempo da sega foram a Davi, à caverna de Adulão; e a multidão dos filisteus acampara no vale de Refaim.
14 and David [is] then in a fortress, and the station of the Philistines [is] then in Beth-Lehem,
14 Davi estava então num lugar forte, e a guarnição dos filisteus em Belém.
15 and David longeth and saith, `Who doth give me a drink of the water of the well of Beth-Lehem, which [is] by the gate?`
15 E teve Davi desejo, e disse: Quem me dera beber da água da cisterna de Belém, que está junto à porta!
16 And the three mighty ones cleave through the camp of the Philistines, and draw water out of the well of Beth-Lehem, which [is] by the gate, and take [it] up, and bring in unto David; and he was not willing to drink it, and poureth it out to Jehovah,
16 Então aqueles três poderosos romperam pelo arraial dos filisteus, e tiraram água da cisterna de Belém, que está junto à porta, e a tomaram, e a trouxeram a Davi; porém ele não a quis beber, mas derramou-a perante o Senhor.
17 and saith, `Far be it from me, O Jehovah, to do this; is it the blood of the men who are going with their lives?` and he was not willing to drink it; these [things] did the three mighty ones.
17 E disse: Guarda-me, ó Senhor, de que tal faça; beberia eu o sangue dos homens que foram com risco da sua vida? De maneira que não a quis beber; isto fizeram aqueles três poderosos.
18 And Abishai brother of Joab, son of Zeruiah, he [is] head of three, and he is lifting up his spear against three hundred -- wounded, and he hath a name among three.
18 Também Abisai, irmão de Joabe, filho de Zeruia, era chefe de três; e este alçou a sua lança contra trezentos e os feriu; e tinha nome entre os três.
19 Of the three is he not the honoured? and he becometh their head; and unto the [first] three he hath not come.
19 Porventura este não era o mais nobre dentre estes três? Pois era o primeiro deles; porém aos primeiros três não chegou.
20 And Benaiah son of Jehoiada (son of a man of valour, great in deeds from Kabzeel), he hath smitten two lion-like men of Moab, and he hath gone down and smitten the lion in the midst of the pit in a day of snow.
20 Também Benaia, filho de Joiada, filho de um homem valoroso de Cabzeel, grande em obras, este feriu dois fortes heróis de Moabe; e desceu ele, e feriu um leão no meio duma cova, no tempo da neve.
21 And he hath smitten the Egyptian man, a man of appearance, and in the hand of the Egyptian [is] a spear, and he goeth down unto him with a rod, and taketh violently away the spear out of the hand of the Egyptian, and slayeth him with his own spear.
21 Também este feriu um egípcio, homem de respeito; e na mão do egípcio havia uma lança, porém ele desceu a ele com um cajado, e arrancou a lança da mão do egípcio, e com ela o matou.
22 These [things] hath Benaiah son of Jehoiada done, and hath a name among three mighty.
22 Estas coisas fez Benaia, filho de Joiada, pelo que teve nome entre três poderosos.
23 Of the thirty he is honoured, and unto the three he came not; and David setteth him over his guard.
23 Dentre os trinta ele era o mais nobre, porém aos três primeiros não chegou; e Davi o pôs sobre os seus guardas.
24 Asahel brother of Joab [is] of the thirty; Elhanan son of Dodo of Beth-Lehem.
24 Asael, irmão de Joabe, estava entre os trinta; El-Hanã, filho de Dodó, de Belém;
25 Shammah the Harodite, Elika the Harodite,
25 Samá, harodita; Elica, harodita;
26 Helez the Paltite, Ira son of Ikkesh the Tekoite,
26 Helez, paltita; Ira, filho de Iques, tecoíta;
27 Abiezer the Annethothite, Mebunnai the Hushathite,
27 Abiezer, anatotita; Mebunai, husatita;
28 Zalmon the Ahohite, Maharai the Netophathite,
28 Zalmom, aoíta; Maarai, netofatita;
29 Heleb son of Baanah the Netophathite, Ittai son of Ribai from Gibeah of the sons of Benjamin,
29 Elebe, filho de Baaná, netofatita; Itai, filho de Ribai, de Gibeá dos filhos de Benjamim;
30 Benaiah the Pirathonite, Hiddai of the brooks of Gaash,
30 Benaia, piratonita; Hidai, do ribeiro de Gaás;
31 Abi-Albon the Arbathite, Azmaveth the Barhumite,
31 Abi-Albom, arbatita; Azmavete, barumita;
32 Eliahba the Shaalbonite, [of] the sons of Jashen, Jonathan,
32 Eliaba, saalbonita; os filhos de Jásen e Jônatas;
33 Shammah the Hararite, Ahiam son of Sharar the Hararite,
33 Samá, hararita, Aião, filho de Sarar, ararita;
34 Eliphelet son of Ahasbai, son of the Maachathite, Eliam son of Ahithophel the Gilonite,
34 Elifelete, filho de Aasbai, filho de um maacatita; Eliã, filho de Aitofel, gilonita;
35 Hezrai the Carmelite, Paarai the Arbite,
35 Hesrai, carmelita; Paarai, arbita;
36 Igal son of Nathan from Zobah, Bani the Gadite,
36 Igal, filho de Natã, de Zobá; Bani, gadita;
37 Zelek the Ammonite, Naharai the Beerothite, bearer of the weapons of Joab son of Zeruiah,
37 Zeleque, amonita; Naarai, beerotita, o que trazia as armas de Joabe, filho de Zeruia;
38 Ira the Ithrite, Gareb the Ithrite,
38 Ira, itrita; Garebe, itrita;
39 Uriah the Hittite; in all thirty and seven.
