1 And all the work that Solomon made for the house of Jehovah is finished, and Solomon bringeth in the sanctified things of David his father, and the silver, and the gold, and all the vessels he hath put among the treasures of the house of God.
1 Quando o rei Salomão terminou todo o trabalho do Templo, colocou na sala do tesouro do Templo todas as coisas que Davi, o seu pai, havia separado para Deus, o Senhor , isto é, a prata, o ouro e outros objetos.
2 Then doth Solomon assemble the elders of Israel, and all the heads of the tribes, princes of the fathers of the sons of Israel, unto Jerusalem, to bring up the ark of the covenant of Jehovah from the city of David -- it [is] Zion.
2 Aí o rei Salomão mandou que os líderes de Israel, todos os chefes das tribos e os chefes dos grupos de famílias de Israel se reunissem em Jerusalém, a fim de levar a arca da aliança do Senhor de Sião , a Cidade de Davi , para o Templo.
3 And assembled unto the king are all the men of Israel in the feast -- it [is] the seventh month;
3 Todos os israelitas se reuniram no sétimo mês, durante a Festa das Barracas .
4 and all the elders of Israel come in, and the Levites lift up the ark,
4 Quando todos os líderes chegaram, os levitas pegaram a arca da aliança
5 and they bring up the ark, and the tent of meeting, and all the vessels of the sanctuary that [are] in the tent; brought them up have the priests, the Levites;
5 e a levaram para o Templo. Os sacerdotes e os levitas levaram também a Tenda da Presença de Deus , com todo o seu equipamento, para o Templo.
6 and king Solomon and all the company of Israel who are convened unto him before the ark are sacrificing sheep and oxen, that are not counted nor numbered from multitude.
6 O rei Salomão e todo o povo de Israel se reuniram em frente da arca da aliança e ofereceram em sacrifício um grande número de ovelhas e touros, tantos que nem dava para contar.
7 And the priests bring in the ark of the covenant of Jehovah unto its place, unto the oracle of the house, unto the holy of holies, unto the place of the wings of the cherubs;
7 Então os sacerdotes levaram a arca para dentro do Templo e a colocaram onde devia ficar, no Lugar Santíssimo , debaixo das asas dos querubins .
8 and the cherubs are spreading out wings over the place of the ark, and the cherubs cover over the ark, and over its staves, from above;
8 Pois as suas asas estendidas cobriam a arca e os cabos usados para carregá-la.
9 and they lengthen the staves, and the heads of the staves are seen out of the ark on the front of the oracle, and they are not seen without; and it is there unto this day.
9 As pontas dos cabos podiam ser vistas por qualquer pessoa que ficasse diretamente em frente ao Lugar Santíssimo, mas não podiam ser vistas de nenhum outro lugar. (Os cabos ainda estão ali até hoje .)
10 There is nothing in the ark but the two tables that Moses gave in Horeb, where Jehovah covenanted with the sons of Israel, in their going out from Egypt.
10 Dentro da arca estavam somente as duas placas de pedra que Moisés havia colocado ali, quando, no monte Sinai, o Senhor Deus havia feito uma aliança com os israelitas depois que eles saíram do Egito.
11 And it cometh to pass, in the going out of the priests from the sanctuary -- for all the priests who are present have sanctified themselves, there is none to watch by courses,
11 Os sacerdotes se prepararam para sair do Templo. Todos os que estavam ali haviam se purificado , sem levar em conta o grupo a que pertenciam.
12 and the Levites, the singers, to all of them, to Asaph, to Heman, to Jeduthun, and to their sons, and to their brethren, clothed in white linen, with cymbals, and with psalteries, and harps, are standing on the east of the altar, and with them priests, to a hundred and twenty, blowing with trumpets --
12 E todos os levitas que eram músicos, isto é, Asafe, Hemã e Jedutum, e os membros dos seus grupos de famílias estavam de pé no lado leste do altar, vestidos de roupas de linho e com pratos musicais, harpas e liras nas mãos. Junto com eles estavam cento e vinte sacerdotes que sabiam tocar trombetas.
13 yea, it cometh to pass, as one [are] trumpeters and singers, to sound -- one voice -- to praise and to give thanks to Jehovah, and at the lifting up of the sound with trumpets, and with cymbals, and with instruments of song, and at giving praise to Jehovah, for good, for to the age [is] His kindness, that the house is filled with a cloud -- the house of Jehovah,
13 Aí todos juntos começaram a tocar as trombetas e a cantar em voz alta para dar graças a Deus, o Senhor , e o louvarem. Com acompanhamento de trombetas, pratos e outros instrumentos musicais, eles louvaram a Deus e cantaram assim: “Louvem a Deus, o e porque o seu amor dura para sempre.” Quando os sacerdotes estavam saindo, uma nuvem encheu o Templo de Deus, o
14 and the priests have not been able to stand to minister from the presence of the cloud, for the honour of Jehovah hath filled the house of God.
14 com a glória do Senhor . Por isso, eles não puderam voltar para dentro a fim de realizar os seus atos de culto.
