1 And the people of the land take Jehoahaz son of Josiah, and cause him to reign instead of his father in Jerusalem.
1 Então, o povo da terra tomou a Joacaz, o filho de Josias, e o fez rei no lugar do seu pai em Jerusalém.
2 A son of three and twenty years [is] Jehoahaz in his reigning, and three months he hath reigned in Jerusalem,
2 Joacaz tinha vinte e três anos de idade quando começou a reinar; e reinou três meses em Jerusalém.
3 and turn him aside doth the king of Egypt in Jerusalem, and fineth the land a hundred talents of silver, and a talent of gold;
3 E o rei do Egito o depôs em Jerusalém, e condenou a terra com uma centena de talentos de prata e um talento de ouro.
4 and the king of Egypt causeth Eliakim his brother to reign over Judah and Jerusalem, and turneth his name to Jehoiakim; and Jehoahaz his brother hath Necho taken, and bringeth him in to Egypt.
4 E o rei do Egito fez de Eliaquim, o seu irmão, rei sobre Judá e Jerusalém, e mudou o seu nome para Jeoaquim. E Neco tomou Joacaz, o seu irmão, e o levou para o Egito.
5 A son of twenty and five years [is] Jehoiakim in his reigning, and eleven years he hath reigned in Jerusalem, and he doth the evil thing in the eyes of Jehovah his God;
5 Jeoaquim tinha vinte e cinco anos de idade quando começou a reinar; e reinou onze anos em Jerusalém; e fez aquilo que era mau aos olhos do SENHOR seu Deus.
6 against him hath Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon come up, and bindeth him in brazen fetters to take him away to Babylon.
6 Contra ele subiu Nabucodonosor, rei de Babilônia, e o prendeu em grilhões, para levá-lo à Babilônia.
7 And of the vessels of the house of Jehovah hath Nebuchadnezzar brought in to Babylon, and putteth them in his temple in Babylon.
7 Nabucodonosor também levou os vasos da casa do SENHOR para Babilônia, e os pôs no seu templo em Babilônia.
8 And the rest of the matters of Jehoiakim, and his abominations that he hath done, and that which is found against him, lo, they are written on the book of the kings of Israel and Judah, and reign doth Jehoiachin his son in his stead.
8 Ora, o restante dos atos de Jeoaquim, e as suas abominações que ele fez, e aquilo que foi achado nele, eis que estão escritos no livro dos reis de Israel e de Judá; e Joaquim, o seu filho reinou em seu lugar.
9 A son of eight years is Jehoiachin in his reigning, and three months and ten days he hath reigned in Jerusalem, and he doth the evil thing in the eyes of Jehovah;
9 Joaquim tinha dezoito anos de idade quando começou a reinar; e reinou três meses e dez dias em Jerusalém; e fez aquilo que era mau aos olhos do SENHOR.
10 and at the turn of the year hath king Nebuchadnezzar sent and bringeth him in to Babylon, with the desirable vessels of the house of Jehovah, and causeth Zedekiah his brother to reign over Judah and Jerusalem.
10 E quando o ano estava expirado, o rei Nabucodonosor mandou trazê-lo a Babilônia, com os formosos vasos da casa do SENHOR, e fez de Zedequias, o seu irmão, rei sobre Judá e Jerusalém.
11 A son of twenty and one years [is] Zedekiah in his reigning, and eleven years he hath reigned in Jerusalem;
11 Zedequias tinha vinte e um anos de idade quando começou a reinar; e reinou onze anos em Jerusalém.
12 and he doth the evil thing in the eyes of Jehovah his God, he hath not been humbled before Jeremiah the prophet [speaking] from the mouth of Jehovah;
12 E ele fez aquilo que era mau aos olhos do SENHOR seu Deus, e não se humilhou diante de Jeremias, o profeta, falando da boca do SENHOR.
13 and also, against king Nebuchadnezzar he hath rebelled, who had caused him to swear by God, and he hardeneth his neck, and strengtheneth his heart, against turning back unto Jehovah, God of Israel.
13 E ele também se rebelou contra o rei Nabucodonosor, que lhe havia feito jurar por Deus; mas ele enrijeceu o seu pescoço, e endureceu o seu coração para não se voltar ao SENHOR Deus de Israel.
14 Also, all the heads of the priests, and the people, having multiplied to commit a trespass according to all the abominations of the nations, and they defile the house of Jehovah that He hath sanctified in Jerusalem.
14 Além disso, todos os chefes dos sacerdotes, e o povo, transgrediram muitíssimo segundo todas as abominações dos pagãos; e poluíram a casa do SENHOR, a qual ele havia consagrado em Jerusalém.
15 And Jehovah, God of their fathers, sendeth unto them by the hand of His messengers -- rising early and sending -- for He hath had pity on His people, and on His habitation,
15 E o SENHOR Deus dos seus pais, falou-lhes por meio dos seus mensageiros, levantando-se cedo para lhes falar; porque teve compaixão do seu povo, e do seu local de habitação.
16 and they are mocking at the messengers of God, and despising His words, and acting deceitfully with His prophets, till the going up of the fury of Jehovah against His people -- till there is no healing.
16 Eles, porém, zombaram dos mensageiros de Deus, e desprezaram as suas palavras, e abusaram dos seus profetas, até que a ira do SENHOR se levantou contra o seu povo, até que não houve mais remédio.
17 And He causeth to go up against them the king of the Chaldeans, and he slayeth their chosen ones by the sword in the house of their sanctuary, and hath had no pity on young man and virgin, old man and very aged -- the whole He hath given into his hand.
17 Portanto, trouxe sobre eles o rei dos caldeus, que mataram os seus moços com a espada na casa do seu santuário, e não tiveram compaixão nem do moço, nem da virgem, nem do ancião, e nem daquele que se curvava pela idade; ele lhes entregou todos na sua mão.
18 And all the vessels of the house of God, the great and the small, and the treasures of the house of Jehovah, and the treasures of the king and of his princes -- the whole he hath brought in to Babylon.
18 E todos os vasos da casa de Deus, grandes e pequenos, e os tesouros da casa do SENHOR, e os tesouros do rei, e dos seus príncipes; todos estes ele trouxe para Babilônia.
19 And they burn the house of God, and break down the wall of Jerusalem, and all its palaces they have burnt with fire, and all its desirable vessels -- to destruction.
19 E queimaram a casa de Deus, e demoliram o muro de Jerusalém, e queimaram todos os seus palácios com fogo, e destruíram todos os seus vasos formosos.
20 And he removeth those left of the sword unto Babylon, and they are to him and to his sons for servants, till the reigning of the kingdom of Persia,
20 E aqueles que haviam escapado da espada ele levou consigo para Babilônia; e tornaram-se seus servos e de seus filhos até o império do reino da Pérsia;
21 to fulfil the word of Jehovah in the mouth of Jeremiah, till the land hath enjoyed its sabbaths; all the days of the desolation it kept sabbath -- to the fulness of seventy years.
21 para se cumprir a palavra do SENHOR pela boca de Jeremias, até que a terra houvesse desfrutado os seus shabats, pois enquanto ela jazia desolada, guardava os shabats, para cumprir setenta anos.
22 And in the first year of Cyrus king of Persia, at the completion of the word of Jehovah in the mouth of Jeremiah, hath Jehovah waked up the spirit of Cyrus king of Persia, and he causeth an intimation to pass over into all his kingdom, and also in writing, saying,
22 Ora, no primeiro ano de Ciro, rei da Pérsia, para que se cumprisse a palavra do SENHOR falada pela boca de Jeremias, o SENHOR suscitou o espírito de Ciro, rei da Pérsia, para que ele fizesse uma proclamação ao longo de todo o seu reino, e a pôs também por escrito, dizendo:
23 `Thus said Cyrus king of Persia, All kingdoms of the earth hath Jehovah, God of the heavens, given to me, and He hath laid a charge on me to build to Him a house in Jerusalem, that [is] in Judah; who is among you of all His people? Jehovah his God [is] with him, and he doth go up.`
23 Assim diz Ciro, rei da Pérsia: O SENHOR Deus do céu tem me concedido todos os reinos da terra; e ele me encarregou de edificar-lhe uma casa em Jerusalém, que está em Judá. Quem há entre vós, de todo o seu povo? O SENHOR seu Deus seja com ele, e deixa-o subir.
