1 Hear my voice, O God, in my meditation; preserve my life from fear of the enemy.
1 Ó Deus, escuta a minha oração, pois estou em dificuldades! Salva a minha vida, pois tenho medo dos meus inimigos.
2 Hide me from the counsel of the wicked, from the insurrection of the workers of iniquity,
2 Protege-me dos planos que os maus fazem contra mim; livra-me dos bandos de homens perversos.
3 who sharpen their tongue like a sword. They have bent their bows to shoot their arrows; even bitter words,
3 Os maus afiam a língua como espada e apontam como flechas as suas palavras cheias de veneno.
4 so that they may shoot at the perfect one from a hiding place; suddenly they shoot at him and do not fear.
4 Eles agem depressa para espalhar as suas mentiras vergonhosas e destroem os bons com calúnias covardes.
5 They encourage themselves in an evil plan; they talk of laying snares secretly; they say, Who shall see them?
5 Eles se animam uns aos outros para fazer o mal; falam dos lugares onde vão colocar as suas armadilhas e pensam que ninguém pode vê-los.
6 They devise injustice; they have finished searching out a plot. Yea, the inward part of man and the heart are unfathomable.
6 Fazem planos cheios de maldade e dizem: “Planejamos um crime perfeito.” O coração e a mente do ser humano são um mistério.
7 But God shall shoot at them with an arrow; suddenly they shall be wounded.
7 Porém Deus atirará as suas flechas contra eles, e, de repente, ficarão feridos.
8 So they shall stumble over their own tongues; everyone who sees them shall flee away.
8 Deus os destruirá por causa das suas palavras; aqueles que os virem balançarão a cabeça, caçoando deles.
9 And all men shall fear, and shall declare the work of God; for they shall prudently comprehend His works.
9 Então todas as pessoas ficarão com medo; pensarão no que Deus fez e falarão sobre os seus atos poderosos.
10 The righteous shall be glad in Jehovah, and shall trust in Him; and all the upright in heart shall glory.
10 A alegria daqueles que obedecem ao é no segurança. Todos eles lhe darão
