1 Hear this, O priests, and pay attention, O house of Israel. And give ear, O house of the king. For judgment is toward you, because you have been a snare to Mizpah, and a net spread on Tabor.
1 Ouvi isto, ó sacerdotes, e escutai, ó casa de Israel, e dai ouvidos, ó casa do rei, porque este juízo é para vós, porquanto fostes armadilha para Mizpá, e rede estendida sobre o Tabor.
2 And revolters are deep in slaughter, though I chasten all of them.
2 E os revoltados se aprofundaram na matança; embora eu tenha disciplinado todos eles.
3 I know Ephraim, and Israel is not hidden from me. For now, O Ephraim, you have committed harlotry; Israel is defiled.
3 Eu conheço Efraim, e Israel não está escondido de mim; pois agora, ó Efraim, cometeste prostituição, e Israel está contaminado.
4 They do not devote their doings to turn back to their God. For the spirit of harlotry is in their midst, and they do not know Jehovah.
4 Eles não condenarão as suas ações a fim de voltarem para o seu Deus, porque o espírito das prostituições está no meio deles, e não conhecem o SENHOR.
5 And the pride of Israel testifies to his face. Therefore Israel and Ephraim shall stumble in their iniquity. Judah shall also stumble with them.
5 O orgulho de Israel testificará no seu rosto; portanto, Israel e Efraim cairão em sua iniquidade, e Judá cairá juntamente com eles.
6 They shall go with their flocks and with their herds to seek Jehovah, but they shall not find Him; He has withdrawn Himself from them.
6 Então, irão com os seus rebanhos, e com o seu gado, para buscarem ao SENHOR, mas não o acharão; ele se retirou deles.
7 They have dealt treacherously against Jehovah, for they have brought forth strange sons. Now a new moon shall devour them with their heritage.
7 Eles se portaram contra o SENHOR aleivosamente, porque geraram filhos estranhos; agora em um só mês os devorará com as suas porções.
8 Blow the shofar in Gibeah, the trumpet in Ramah. Cry aloud at Beth-aven; after you, O Benjamin.
8 Tocai a buzina em Gibeá, e a trombeta em Ramá; gritai altamente em Bete-Áven; depois de ti, ó Benjamim.
9 Ephraim shall be desolate in the day of rebuke. Among the tribes of Israel I have made known that which is sure.
9 Efraim será assolada no dia do castigo; entre as tribos de Israel manifestei o que certamente acontecerá.
10 The rulers of Judah were like those who move borders; I will pour out My wrath on them like water.
10 Os príncipes de Judá foram como os que mudam os limites; derramei, portanto, a minha ira sobre eles como água.
11 Ephraim is oppressed and crushed in judgment, because he has willingly walked, keeping back from the commandments.
11 Efraim está oprimido e quebrantado no juízo, porque voluntariamente andou após o mandamento.
12 Therefore, I will be to Ephraim as a moth, and to the house of Judah as rottenness.
12 Portanto, serei para com Efraim como a traça, e para a casa de Judá como a podridão.
13 When Ephraim saw his sickness, and Judah his wound, then Ephraim went to Assyria, and sent to King Jareb. Yet he could not heal you, nor did he cure you of your wound.
13 Quando Efraim viu a sua enfermidade, e Judá viu a sua chaga, subiu então Efraim à Assíria e enviou ao rei Jarebe; mas ele não pode vos sarar, e nem curar a vossa chaga.
14 For I am to Ephraim as a lion, and as a young lion to the house of Judah; I, even I, tear and go away; I take away, and no one rescues.
14 Porque serei para Efraim como um leão, e como um leãozinho para a casa de Judá; eu, eu o despedaçarei, e irei embora; arrebatarei, e ninguém o livrará.
15 I will go and return to My place until they confess their guilt and seek My face. In their affliction they will seek Me earnestly.
15 Irei e retornarei ao meu lugar, até que reconheçam a sua ofensa, e busquem a minha face; na sua aflição, buscar-me-ão cedo.
